tomorrow propose the first ever federal ban on corporate price gouging in the food and grocery industries. and claiming that there's a big difference between fair pricing and competitive market and excessive prices unrelated to the cost of doing business. that's true bernie sanders socialist. add free market economics to the list of topics that harris apparently cannot comprehend. why are prices high as compared to, say, 2019? was there no corporate greed four years ago? well, prices are high because the cost of doing business is high. because, trillions that biden and harris spent on climate and covid boondoggles shot up inflation and because of their greeniac policies that drove up the cost of oil and gas. so responding with price controls is like dropping kerosene on open flame. the woman is going to burden of proof down the entire economy with this idea.

with you these are facts. house hold wealth increased 7.9% vs. 3.2% under biden. that's the election in my view. the wealth -- et wealth gap between biden and trump and obviously transpose what harris is going to do with price controls. who drive the big increase in household wealth under trump compared to the erosion under biden? >> laura, it's a great question. i think it had a lot to do with both regulatory reform and also tanks reform. when you get to keep more of your own money, you have a huge incentive to work more, to work harder, to earn more. and people did that under trump that was a key reason why following that trump tax reform, we actually saw tax revenue increase to record highs in the years thereafter. but, on the regulatory front, this is something i think the administration didn't get

stuff she had method, scales, she had everything. even if no one is cooperating against her, i think that there is probably overwhelming evidence there. >> laura: and we find out that, of course, there is incriminating text messages indicating that they should try to delete their text messages, which, in and of itself, is always bad. text messages usually, you know, end up extremely, you know, relevant in a case like this. but, reminded me, mark. of all of these other horrible deaths that have occurred because of either illicit drugs or prescription drugs. you know, prescribed in the wrong way. and because this is a celebrity, maybe we'll nab these people. but think of all the other people who get away with it. high profile person? it's like somebody has got to pay. >> okay. and the good thing about it though is prosecutors are prioritizing these cases.

the fabulous ramsey show. great to see you tonight. price controls. talk to young people for a moment. is not going to fix this problem and dig them out of that financial hole? >> know because it's artificial. it's not sustainable because it's artificial. if you put a lid on something, if you want to explore what happens go back to the 1970s. we tried it. there was a whole movement for controls across everything because inflation was out of control and rampant like it is now and so it's been tried, it does not work. what works is to flood the market with supply. lots of oil means lower oil prices. lots of labour means lower labour prices. lots of whatever means lower prices. it's a simple supply demand curve, it's called economics and it's called the free market economics. went you try to artificially cramp it down it simply does not work because you can only hold

volume. it means the price went up doesn't mean the economy is booming. the cost of the good went up about 1 percent. it went up a lot more because the number of units is down. and so it's a misnomer. that's misreported. and yes, we are seeing this disparity between the haves and have-nots getting wider and wider which traditionally you would see as you see more and more government intervention in the economy. when you let the free-market run and you leave it alone, this is a battle of ideas. when you let the free-market run and leave it alone it will find equilibrium and it works to the advantage of most everyone when you do that. when you insert government and it and you say i'm going to do price controls, i'm going to protect you from high grocery prices, it is not sustainable and it causes more problems. all we have to do is go back and see that exact same thing unfolding during covid. if you want to help the little man let the market run.
