and i know that vice president harris is ready to take us to new heights. >> griff: meanwhile the godmother is down playing her role in pushing biden out and refuting concerns about harris having won a single delegate in the primary telling the "wall street journal," this quote: many of us concerned about the election wanted to have an open process. it was an open process. anyone could have gotten. in harris had the endorsement of the president and she politically astutely took advantage of it and shut down. not shut down but won the nomination. but anyone could have gotten it. then, the end of the night came coach. the governor tim walz formally accepting the nomination for vice president, talking football and freedom and taking swipes at trump while making a case for a harris presidency. >> we got a chance to make kamala harris the next president of the united states. we owe it to the american people to tell them exactly what she would do as president before we ask them for their votes.

trump is 78. he a few months younger because he just turned 78 two days ago. they are running on weird, they are running on joy. they are running on happy. bill clinton said one of the researchers harris is doing so well is that we are so happy. are you happy when you pay for your groceries? are you happy when you fill up your gas tank? are you happy when you try to buy your dream house right now? >> brian: those themes are true and i will add to some more. they do not know that joe biden is a democrat in the white house. and kamala harris is not familiar with the enact she is vice president. at least she hasn't told anyone in the building. they are running as if donald trump is still in the white house. and they are fighting for freedom. where did that come from? and instead of donald trump being a threat to democracy, which wasn't working according to the polls and they wasted millions of dollars pushing that down everybody's throats, now they are saying that donald trump is just -- he is a small man who will take away your freedom. they want to make him -- they

want to just make him crazy. they don't no longer say is he a threat to democracy. that's the whole barack obama yesterday saying you shouldn't fear him. he's a bully. and i'm saying to myself if you want to say that donald trump is not tough, it's a weird time to do it. one month ago he got shot in the head, stood up with blood on his face and yelled fight, fight, fight. he has also gone through four indictments, four week trial, weathered them all. got the nomination. was leading and knocked out their previous candidate. the sitting president of the united states to the point where you had to pick somebody else. and now you are telling us that guy is not tough enough, lawrence. >> lawrence: well, you know, i find the whole thing to be torturous. the fact that we have had to stay up all night to get some time of substance out of them. i almost feel like, guys that, they went into a room, all of them, from oprah to the former president, bill clinton. and they pole tested all these

phrases. no policy with it. just what feels good if you take the words and try to line them up with reality, oprah talked about preserving the constitution. you got democrats though want to pack the court. that's unconstitutional just on the sur falls of this. you got walz talking about we owe the american people to present our ideas. >> brian: that would be great. >> lawrence: we have been saying that for weeks now. yet, this morning we get up and there is still nothing listed on the website. so, i think that they feel that the american voters are clueless, and that it's all about donald trump. and that they can continue to push these false narratives. here is just a few of them for someone who wants to be the next vice president. watch. >> it's the fourth quarter. we're down a field goal. but we're on offense and we got

narrative that is false, the first thing for a republican is disavow it. can you please get on record and disavow it? donald trump said i have nothing to do with it. i'm not going to put any of these proposals in. these are a list of the ideas that i stand on. and they are still running with it, guys. >> ainsley: when we go to the polls we are not voting because she is full of joy or because she is happy or because the republicans are weird. that whole messaging is very weird to me. we are voting on the issues. and when you look at kamala harris. she won't give an interview. so we don't know if she truly has flip flopped. we don't really know what she stands for. you can't find it on her website. she hasn't listed where she stands on any of these issues. but her campaign subordinates are out there saying no. shoe is changing her views. let's go through some of her policies. what they used to be and what her campaign is now saying it is. let's take energy, first. in 2019, she endorsed a nationwide ban on oil and gas

fracking. remember she said there is no question i'm in fair of banning fracking. but then this year, a few weeks ago, they're campaign says no, she doesn't support a total ban on fracking. >> brian: right now there is a nationwide ban, pause, on all l and g leases. so, right now, we're not exporting any more l and g. so, if she really believed that, she would turn around and tell joe biden to lift the ban. the pause. right now. and it hurts people like anyone in pennsylvania at all. >> will: and if you go through these all different positions she has taken in the past on the biggest issues when this documents actual substance. take a look at the economy. she supported green new deal in 2019, which included a federal jobs guarantee. now five years later she is saying she no longer supports. >> ainsley: even though she co-sponsored that bill. >> lawrence: unbelievable. then when you go to healthcare. >> this is a big one. she supported medicare for all. this includes illegals as well. this is what her position was

back in the day. and now her campaign says that she won't push for medicare for all. >> brian: right. >> lawrence: she co-sponsored the bill. >> ainsley: she co-sponsored that bill in 2019 and she wants to take away your private insurance company. >> brian: part of the reason voted the most liberal senator in 2019 because she co-sponsored that. very hard to find that study. thee basically tried to expunge the internet from it. must be one of those advertising firms reputation defender. >> ainsley: called meta. >> brian: calling over to her buddies who all love her. when it comes to immigration in 2019 she supported decriminalizing border crossings and she wanted everybody, by the way. to say have a shot at healthcare and medical benefits as well as school. in 2024. she is calling for a strong border. she is running ads on this and earn a pathway to citizenship. >> ainsley: wait, i thought the border was secure, brian. >> brian: she is running ads

using donald trump's wall in the back drop talking about how she has been tough as a prosecutor. >> ainsley: when it comes to crime in 2019, she ran as a progressive prosecutor, looking to end cash bail. and then this year she is saying she -- her campaign is, as of a few weeks ago, describing the campaign as pragmatic prosecutor taking on predators and fraud centers. >> will: then, when it comes to guns back in 2019, when she was running for president, she didn't get through the democratic primary but she took positions and designed to win a democratic primary. she said she is for mandatory buy back program for assault rifles. now running in a general election for president. the campaign is saying she won't push for a mandatory buy back program for assault rifles. we just walked through six different policies, lawrence. i think that the voter could be sitting here wondering what's real? what's fake? what am i to believe? who is kamala harris? you compound this with the fact she doesn't tell you today many specifics when it comes to policy and who she would be as president. so you, as the voter, have to

ask yourself who has she been in the past? when she was a senator, when she was a vice president, and even now as a candidate, when she steps out on a ledge and gives you some specifics, what do you get? you get price controls. you get 25% capital gains tax. 45% capital gains tax. taxing unrealized gains. this is far left stuff. you will get the kamala harris of 2019. >> brian: right. before, lawrence, i knew you talk to people on the south side. i have a will cain style deep thought. are you ready? >> will: i'm ready. written brian her party is where she was at in 2019. the pima audience believe where she was. but she realizes and david plouffe, practical people and axelrod whether you believe it or not doesn't matter. if you run on that, you are not going to get 10 votes. you have to change more towards the middle, toward the right in order to at least pretend to have a chance at winning a general election. what you ran on and bleefd in 2020.

the american people aren't buying in 2024. which should be scary where the voter is i think she will do what she said in 2019 and 2020. >> lawrence: i guess the final thing i would say before i move onto the south side piece is remember the last person that promised us that they were going to be a moderate. now bernie sanders and aoc tells us that he is the most progressive president in american history. >> brian: i know. >> lawrence: they can pretend all they want. don't take the bait like they did last night. nice joe, simple joe. cares about the working class joe. scranton joe, takes the amtrak to work. we know what he has done now. and so i just think that is a lot of sugar in this building and maybe that's normal. maybe that's what they do at conventions. maybe they say republicans do that. but, all i can say is life was different four years ago. i had the opportunity to talk with some folks in chicago. there is a lot of people that have been critical on the left about our pieces, about going to the south side. i have been doing this for years

now. talking about the violence and everything that's happening in chicago. and they want to know while the cavalry was sen. these are residents that have experienced the worst. losing family members, sons, daughters, husbands. here is just a look at it step up the security and enforcement. ngeghtd just for them. when they leave they will be gone. >> can we continue to vote for the same people this is how it's going to be? >> what would be your message to the leader in the democratic party i holy spirit my daughter prematurely. i would ask her to step her game up and please do more to keep

i thought what was interesting we were watching his speech in pennsylvania he was out doors again. he was out there but bullet proof glass around him. >> ainsley: in north carolina,. >> brian: in north carolina, i should say. bullet proof glass around him. they have had that before when he was president. i remember seeing it. it's not that unusual. he opened up by inviting the police on stage once he got off he started giving a speech. then he found out somebody had passed out in the audience. he took a pause and did this. >> ainsley: the lady collapsed. so he left that enclosure, the bullet proof enclosure and he said a doctor, please. it's very hot here. apparently heat exhaustion the lady was standing up later holding a water bottle. >> he left the enclosure, the bullet proof glass. the security must have been having a coronary. >> stay in arizona and highlight issues when it comes to illegal immigration and kamala harris as border czar. as brian hinted at there could be as early as tomorrow a new endorsement for donald trump. reports are that r.f.k. jr. will

be looking to drop out of the race for president. his vice president's running mate nicole shanahan has teased something like that come. they would throw their weight, it seems behind donald trump. out of displeasure and, perhaps, some policy agreement but also out of displeasure for the way they have been handled within the democratic party. the way they have been boxed out. r.f.k. has been able to get on the ballot across the country. and i believe it's 25 states. >> lawrence: 25 states, yeah. >> will: he is on the ballot. at this point is he polling around 4%. 4 points, it will be interesting to see which way those 4 points swing. betting markets are suggesting it goes to donald trump. >> brian: if he just jumps out, that's one thing, lawrence. what if he comes out and says listen, anybody supporting me i need you to support trump, even though we disagree on some things, fundamentally we are the same. >> lawrence: this is happening for a reason. yes he agrees with the policies

of the former president. is he still a democrat at heart. the only reason this is happening is because they blocked him. i mean, they didn't want to give him a debate. he was saying if i lose, i lose. just give me the opportunity to share my message. don't try to turn my family against me. don't try to use the court system to block me from ballots. they just haven't been really nice to him. i got to be honest. i disagree with him on a lot of policy distances. i that's what he has been saying from the very beginning, at least give me the opportunity to share my belief system. >> ainsley: he has the right to do it. he is running for president. he should be on the ballots. i understand there are different rules and those rules need to be followed. these democrats, we have seen them block him out and we have seen what they have tried to do donald trump arresting him, the mugshot. they are going to sentence him coming up soon. and r.f.k. jr. said this about kamala. i think it was a coronation. it's not democracy. nobody voted.

wanted him. to say. >> lawrence: that's right. >> will: we have another wild story out of new jersey. police are searching for a woman who nearly lost her hand by trying to pet a 500-pound tiger inside a zoo enclosure. she climbed over a wooden fence and tried to hand feed that bengal tiger. even sticking her arm through a wire barrier. the titler lunges at her and she is able to pull her arm away just in time. here's a look at a sign posted outside the tiger enclosure at the zoo bridgeton. it makes it clear as though a sign were necessary. that climbing any zoo fence is against the law and i would presume intuitively dangerous. the woman seemed to act like she was at a petting zoo. officials say she attempted to do the same thing at nearby bear exhibit. asking for it. she was stopped by other visitors. police are asking anyone who knows the woman to contact them. >> ainsley: she is just so casual when she does this. like, when she turned her back to the tiger, first of all, you would never do that but she

and i think, you know, there has been this narrative that the people within the community are antipolice. they are anticorruption. they are not anti-cop. and i think if any candidate, first of all, will, to your point, and we heard this in the barbershop yesterday, they want to see the candidates as well. there is this notion within black america, especially in the community, that the republicans don't get them, bowers they don't see them and i do think there is truth to that critique don't see the same language. deep down in the core black america. the value system is pretty much conservative. politicians say look, anticorruption. make sure you have good cops that walk the beat every single day in your community. and keep your family safe. bring jobs back to your community, have a message of school choice. i don't mean just a talking point of school choice, but exactly what does school choice
