trump to hit the stage at a town hall event in lacrosse, wisconsin. let's go live to the ground where fox news garrett tenney is standing by. garrett? >> kayleigh, officials here had to close the doors more than an hour and a half ago because this arena was already at full capacity. folks were lining up before sunrise to get in for this town hall tonight with former president trump. his campaign has been spending a lot of time in wisconsin, michigan and pennsylvania. states that he hopes will be a red wall for republicans in november. and they plan to do that by targeting blue collar workers in these rust belt states. the top issues for voters by a huge margin is the economy. and that's what the campaign will be hammering on these next 10 weeks asking folks if they are better off now than they were four years ago. one area the former president is also trying to make headway in is with women voters. particularly suburban women on the issue of reproductive rights. and this afternoon, in michigan,

trump made a major announcement saying he will require insurance companies to cover ivf treatments and allow parents to take tax deductions for the major expenses involved with having a baby. >> as part of our efforts to help working families, i'm announcing today in a major statement that under the trump administration, your government will pay for or your insurance company will be mandated to pay for all costs associated with ivf treatment, fertilization for women. set to give her first interview since being handed the democratic presidential nomination. but not without her running mate, tim walz. we are told, this is, quote: the most expansive explanation to date on why she has changed some of her positions. but thus far kamala has given no explanation for her epiphanies, relying instead on analysis aids to water down radical views with reporters all done behind the scenes. now, there are big pressing even confounding questions tonight for harris. but will the liberal media ask them we have some questions. we put them town down. we want to pose them to you. first, on the border. the harris campaign confirmed to fox news -- listen to this. that she has reversed several of her prior positions on immigration, including decriminalizing illegal crossings, closing ice detention centers and starting from scratch with ice. but here is how she explained

her flip-flops in a clip released from her joint interview. >> i think the -- the most important and most significant aspect of my policy perspective and decisions is my values have not changed. my value around what we need to do to secure our border that value has not changed. i spent two terms as the attorney general of california prosecuting transnational criminal organizations, violations of american laws regarding the passage -- illegal passage of guns, drugs and human beings across our border. my values did not change. >> kayleigh: her values have not changed. she is insistent on that point. so does she still believe this? >> this issue is about a vanity project for this president. >> right. >> the president's medieval vanity project is not going to stop them. >> let me be very clear i'm not going to vote for a wall under any circumstances.

>> kayleigh: so, despite saying her values have not changed, axios is reporting that harris pledges to spend hundreds of millions of dollars on the wall along the southern border. so did danna barb follow up with kamala asking her to just explain her radical transformation? did dana bash challenge her with her past statements like we just showed you? and did she ask her if it had anything to do with the polling that you are looking at a majority of americans now support a border wall? and on that same subject, why did kamala say this? >> we got to critically re-examine ice and its role and the way that it is being administered and the work it is doing. we need probably think about starting from scratch. >> kayleigh: does she stand by these comments? and when kamala is done struggling to answer those questions, she needs to be asked about the economy. it's the top issue to voters. here she is, look at this image. she is casting the tiebreaking vote for the so-called inflation reduction act. which added nearly $740 billion

to the national debt. and then here she is in this video casting the tiebreaking vote that advanced the american rescue plan which added nearly 2 trillion to the national debt. and here were the results. the 1.4% inflation rate that trump left office with spiked to a 40-year high of 9.1% under biden-harris. this is bidenomics. and now harris supports widely panned socialist price control policies to fix the mess. >> a loaf of bread costs 50% more today than it did before the pandemic. ground beef is up almost 50%. i will work to pass the first ever federal ban on price gauging on food. >> but even the liberal "the washington post" editorial board derided the idea, quote: that times demand serious economic ideas, they wrote.

banning fracking and banning gas-powered vehicles. she was a co-sponsor of legislation to end trucks and cars as we know them. i mean, that's her values, that's who she is. they are trying to run a campaign right now based on fantasy instead of the fax. so, our job is to make sure that the people know it. and the american media needs to do its job and ask tough questions. not submitting for any of those kayleigh. she is hiding. she is trying to run a campaign from the basement like her mentor joe biden did. it's not going to work. the american people see right through this. >> kayleigh: the teleprompter is now the basement, it seems. speaker johnson, the presidential race is obviously hugely important. so too is the house. we just have a three member majority at the moment. and i know you have been traveling the country raising money, doing everything can you to expand that majority. here's the real clear politics polling average. it is neck and neck on the general maker ballot. you see it here. democrats 46.5. republicans 45.8.

essentially a tie. what are you seeing when you cross the country? i'm seeing real energy on the ground, kayleigh. i'm very bull liquor about november. we are excited. we believe we are going to win. the reason is because we have extraordinary candidates that we recruited that are out there in the field running great races. i have been so far -- i have done campaign events in 198 cities and 39 states. as of today we have many more to go. it doesn't matter whether we are in montana down to florida to maine to california. i have been in all the states. it's the same thing, kayleigh, people are so fed up about the cost of living and the rising crime rates and the wide open border and the catastrophe that's been. they are worried about instability on the world stage. and they realize that our adversaries, you know, russia, china, iran, north korea, are looking at this moment as an opportunity. we have to have strong, principled leadership again. donald trump will provide that in the white house. and we can win and we will win. the house and the senate. we are going to grow the house majority. i'm absolutely convinced of it.

terrifying video from just outside denver: tren de aragua armed with handguns and a scope rifle. and they are just walking through an apartment complex. now, there is an allegation that these gangs have completely taken his building over. and while fox hasn't confirmed that, the video does suggest a frightening example of gang activity and the residents are terrified. joining me now is danielle dresden ski aurora city council is i member. danielle, this is a shocking video there are rumors that they have taken over several building. we haven't confirmed that here. but i want to know what you are hearing and i specifically want to know why police or federal law enforcement or someone cannot remove an alleged venezuelan gang from the building. >> well, what is going on here, kayleigh is, exactly what it looks like. this gang has taken over several complexes in aurora.

our mayor, mike coffman was on a program earlier on fox this afternoon, and he -- he said definitively three properties have been taken over by this gang. i do believe it's actually more than that. this is what they're doing. they are patrolling complexes with guns. they go in and beat up the staff. hold guns to their heads. staff leaves and as far as local law enforcement, this is far beyond any one local law enforcement agency taking this on. and we need our state and federal partners to step in at this point. >> kayleigh: i read these gangs are actually collecting rent. it's stunning what we are watching there was one resident. i couldn't believe. this this is how she has to live her life. >> every day when we come home, we have to do this every time we go outside to take out the garbage. every time we try to go to bed

legislate as the court said. i think though the larger point that you have raised, kayleigh, is that he has a big lead on the economy in the swing states but the race in those states is effectively dead locked. i make the argument he needs to move to the economy as the central theme of his campaign along with the southern border. and point out what his positions are. and what her flip-flops are. he has neutralized, i think the best he can the abortion issue, but the economy and the southern border are the issues that can elect him and arguably will elect him if he runs a disciplined campaign focusing on those two things. >> kayleigh: do you think, doug, the economy is enough to get him over the edge? it is number one on every single poll and way below that is abortion. somewhere, you know, in the teens, 14%. >> it's undeniable for you is burr ban women, abortion is

important. but, as we have heard and seen in poll after poll, interview after interview, people are having a tough time making ends meet. they want tough policies at the border. they also want, as your earlier visitor showed, they want tough policies on law and order, particularly with illegal immigrants. those three issues, i believe, can elect donald trump. the question is can he run a disciplined campaign on those issues? because, harris is running, i think, a very good campaign really obfuscating the real position she has taken and what the democratic party has traditionally stood for. >> kayleigh: sean, and the key to winning this election, i believe, is forcing kamala harris off script, so how does president trump do that? you have to force her off script, september 10th is going to be a big moment to do just that on the debate staining.

>> to doug's point, all candidates want to focus on the issues they win on. that's why kamala harris focuses on abortion. donald trump can't take the bait. he has to come back to the issues to your point, kayleigh, truly matter to the american people and point out that you can never tax and regulate and redistribute your way to prosperity. it's never worked. it brings poverty to the people in which you try this with. and, again, i wish that donald trump should call kamala out and say, listen, if you disagree with joe biden's policies, his economy is so bad, what do you disagreewith. what would you change? and if you could change it, change it right now. call joe biden out if you disagree with him. she won't because joe biden's policies are kamala's policies which means you will get more of the same. and to doug's point the border truly matters in southern states, even in nevada. around it's important to go, listen, i will secure the border. i will bring safety and security back to your communities. kamala won't. fixate on the issues that you win on and that's what trump has to do and to doug's point, if he

included pennsylvania. so how do you win the great state of pennsylvania? >> well, listen, i think we're blessed in pennsylvania by the fact that people on the ground are looking for strong leadership and common sense solutions. and right now, we have kamala harris running on a radical liberal agenda. in her own words, she wants to ban fracking, she wants to legalize illegal immigration, give amnesty. she wants to make sure they have federal benefits and, most recently, she wants to spend $2 trillion more money and have venezuela like price controls. these are wildly out of step with the people of pennsylvania. and so this week liberal leadership is not going to fly. and i think if we can reveal to the voters of pennsylvania that's what they get with kamala harris and bob casey, that kind of weakness, that kind of radical liberal agenda, the answer will be clear on election day. and i think president trump will win and i think i will win. >>

[laughter] >> you are considered the most liberal united states senator. >> there is no question i'm in favor of banning fracking. >> would you ban offshore drilling? >> yes. >> kayleigh: s that was your opponent bob casey at the top. did you know kamala was coming because she is the nominee and you put this out they called it the model for how to attack kamala harris. >> well, we -- it looked like he was going to endorse her. and it was clear right away that this is a san francisco liberal agenda that's just out of touch with pennsylvanians. we don't need to tell people that. we just need to let her say it. in her own words. and bob casey has been around for 18 years. he has not had the strength to resist the radicalization of the democratic party. and so bob casey is a sure vote for whatever kamala harris and

>> there is nothing more american than faith in football and over the weekend ohio state university had both. what an amazing night, that event was put on by the players featured four tubs filled with water where an estimated 60 students were baptized, how beautiful up your joining me now are three people who were there cameron babcock former ohio state weiss -- wide receiver... they organized the entire event and also joining me is junior tight end for the buckeyes, even performed some baptism spirit master this is incredible and i want to know what inspired this

idea, was of the holy spirit's? what brought this about? >> of course,, the holy spirit is our guide, christ is our saviour and our lord and we wanted to present this great gift that we've been given to everybody else. i know you know that in this world we have a serious issue and it's a disease. unlike other diseases that spread and maybe not everybody gets the disease, this disease every single person has and it's sin. sin brings about death and there is but one cure and that cure is jesus christ so we desired to share that cure with everybody and give them that hope that they can have everybody's looking for peace and joy and meaning and purpose period everybody wants to be held and loved and saved but they are looking in the wrong places. jesus is that answer and we desire to share that.
