10:25 am
so he's going to need to do much better if she wants to compete. i think the issue is partly that she is focusing on personality as opposed to issues. and on issues, people can compare these candidate side by side. what was life like during the republican trump presidency and what has it been like under the biden-harris presidency? she will probably have to address that if she wants to enact. >> gillian: jonathan, real quick, to wrap us up, the more problematic sticking point for the former president might be this "wall street journal" poll out a few days ago that showed kamala harris has 83% of support among black voters nationwide, men and women. with only a couple months to go, that's a pretty wide gap to close. >> i think that will grow even more as she continues to introduce yourself and talk to the country. you are seeing she is talking to her sorority, howard university was just profiled about how prominent a role they will play if she wins. as she starts laying out policies, going to talk to these communities, you are seeing

about? a former international space station commander, also a retired nasa astronaut. having some problem speaking today. thanks for taking time to speak with us. perfect guest to have on this. are these astronauts out of the woods now with regards to this strange sound? >> absolutely. i don't think they were ever in the woods, to be honest. when i was on the space shuttle a little over a decade ago, there was this really weird ghostly sound. i've never heard it in my life. when somebody would call up, there would be this eerie ethereal sound, and when i was on the space station we didn't hear that. it was very clear, but who knows? there's all kinds of electrons flying around in space out th there. they have a really complicated munication system, and audio engineers are pulling their hair out every day trying to get every thing perfect. it sounds like they might have

do. bonus time and space. they probably have to get a lot of supplies shipped up, like clothes and shoes and food and all that kind of stuff. i think they'll be coming up in the next cargo ship, but the biggest impact, as it always is in the space industry, the biggest impact is on the families. >> gillian: this might be obvious to some folks but not to me, so i'm going to ask, why is there no prospect for them, for nasa to send some other kind of tried and tested spacecraft to go relieve them of their duty and come back? or is it not about that? is it about something else? >> what they're going to do, the spacex capital has been flying for a few years. i think this is the ninth official premission coming up. so the spacex capsule does have some history. knock on wood, it's been a very safe capsule. of course no capsule is 100% safe. when you're going to the vacuum of outer space, you going from 0
