>> dana: i said i was going to draw up some plays a la taylor swift for the kansas city chiefs. i came up with something you said won't work. i don't know if anyone can zoom in and see. i at least had 11 players on the field. >> bill: okay, all right. >> dana: the best part is that this coach is happy in this one is sad, because this team got a point. i said it was seven-point but it's actually only six. bill says it is illegal because the defender can't -- >> bill: my question was is this the ball or is this the ball? and he said that's the ball and i said that's illegal. >> dana: have you never seen a boggle like that? >> bill: emmett till kicks off tomorrow night. big weekend for fox, too. on sunday tom brady makes his debut into the fox family with a dallas cleveland game in the afternoon. >> dana: it's going to be signed indeed. everyone have a great day. harris faulkner is next.
8:01 am
[crowd clamoring] [protesters chanting] >> harris: and we begin this day with more breaking news on a very basic rite of passage for people just trying to reach their dreams, by going to college. albeit a very expensive college, and you would think that by paying that much you might not have to see this over and over. it's not just free speech on display, which is fine. it's the violence and the rioting. students are in fact back on campus, but the jewish hating protesters are back out in force, too. i'm harris faulkner. you are in "the faulkner focus." the anti-jewish protesters at columbia university are saying they are going to return for a second day. we can tell you that some students are also planning a sit in at the international affairs building. they are demanding that people walk out of hillary clinton's
8:02 am
class. per usual, complaints by college students over the entire new york area, the school leaders are not doing enough. >> the administration has made a commitment to ensuring the safety of jewish students on campus. it is all talk and no action. i don't feel safe on campus even now that i'm here. i just feel like there's a target on my back simply for being jewish. >> and you have anti-semitism working in the shadows and you deny it instead of addressing it, that sends a pretty clear message about everything else you're doing. >> harris: so we saw a lot of people out there, some misbehaving, some forgetting to cover their faces so we could see who they wear. police arrested two of them at the university of columbia as the large group marched and vandalized property. republican vice presidential candidate j.d. vance has this to say. >> nobody gets the right to harass their fellow students. nobody gets a right to set up tent encampments and turn their college campuses into garbage
8:03 am
dumps. and nobody gets the right to block their fellow students from attending class. whether it is anti-jewish bigotry or any other form of bigotry, just enforce the law. make the crazy people protest within the first amendment and within the legal frameworks that are appropriate. >> harris: perhaps they need some motivation. republican congresswoman elise stefanik says maybe money will motivate schools. here's a quote from her. the students returning to campus, it has never been more critical that no taxpayer dollars go to these colleges or universities, which have enabled anti-semitism to take root." senator joni ernst, republican of iowa, member of the armed services committee, and chairwoman of the republican policy committee, is in focus with me now. boy, i tell you, this is deja vu all over again, and again and again. what really does it take to make this look more like free speech rather than a free-for-all to hate jews and heard them? >> wright, harris.
8:04 am
this is absolutely un-american. many of us have worked on this issue now for the past year since the october seventh attacks, where we have these elite universities that are allowing these types of demonstrations or protests to get way out of hand on their campuses. so i would agree with congresswoman stefanik that no taxpayer dollars should go to these universities, and i've called on the irs to examine the 501(c)(3) organizations that are backing these protests to see if they have violated any of their tax exempt status is by backing these protests. we have worked on anti-semitism through the department of education. they have a legal obligation to ensure that our jewish students could go to classes and do it freely without the threat of violence or hatred coming from these protesters. so there is a lot of work to be done, but bottom line, harris, these campuses, these elite universities, they need to step
8:05 am
up and do the right thing and make sure that education is available for all. >> harris: and it's interesting what you say, how you tied it to money in this particular way for these very wealthy schools anyway. if you take away the taxpayer dollars, and some might scratch their heads to know why they're even getting any of that, that will put even more pressure on those donors. so if they've got to dig deeper to actually fund more of this, and it is not on our backs as taxpayers, whether we would have kids that would go there or not, that is a really interesting way to take a big stab at this. real quick last thought and we will move to the next. >> yes, absolutely. and those donors need to think very hard about what they are funding. and i think they would have a very different opinion about how their dollars are being used at these institutions. >> harris: israel is still fighting terrorism on all fronts. as we know, it is going after hamas after those savages attacked them on october 7th. that war continues. 332 days of that now in gaza, as
8:06 am
well as taking on some new actions to the north of israel along its border with lebanon against the hezbollah terrorists. the idf has hit a rocket launcher being used by the group in southern lebanon. meanwhile, president biden is putting pressure on, no, not the terrorists. he's putting pressure on israeli prime minister netanyahu to do more to secure the release of the hostages being held by hamas. that is after the israeli military found six hostages dead over the weekend, and one of them an american citizen, as we know. peter doocy got into it with the white house. watch this. >> in the president's public comments, why is he harder on benjamin netanyahu then he is on the terrorist leader of hamas? >> the president has been very, very clear about hamas leaders and what they have done. he was very clear about october 7th and multiple times thereafter on what hamas has done.
8:07 am
he was asked a question and he answered it directly, but hamas is responsible. they have more american blood on their hands. >> harris: well, critics are tearing into the biden-harris administration response to all of this. michael goodwin titled his column, "cyclists biden and kamala have thrown israel to the wolves with their ignorance and betrayal." a former middle east official also ripped harris' handling of israel. >> before she was the nominee, vice president harris made a series of statements, very critical of israel, on how it has operated since october 7th, including saying that israel cannot go into rafah. the idea that harris had been dictating that israel can't go into rafah is very disconcerting. >> harris: senator, last week -- and we have a picture of you meeting with the prime minister of israel, netanyahu. he met with him and committed to always standing with israel and continuing to work to rescue
8:08 am
those hostages. look, i am flabbergasted by the fact, and a little bit more about that emotionally. so much more, it is only in our show. that there's not more outrage about the fact that an american was executed by terrorists after being held by them for so many days. the white house tacitly does nothing. they come out with a few words, but come on, where is the action now? we can go in and rescue our own people. your former military, would you advocate that we go get our own people now? >> harris, i have been advocating for the release of american hostages since october 7th, since we lost over 40 american individuals in the attack. we had eight that were taken into gaza, held hostage. and since the lost of hersh goldberg-polin, now we have four presumed to still be alive. god rest his soul.
8:09 am
we need the united states to stand up for our american citizens. so i am advocating that our military do whatever possible to get our american hostages back. it is very complicated in that region, but long-term, we need to make sure we get our american hostages back. that's number one. but in the long term, what we have to do is stand by israel and make sure that they had a long term israel, a long-term israel. not something that will go by the wayside over the course of the next few decades. we can't continually give away israel. the jewish people have to have their home, and that is israel. so the united states needs to stand up. where the heck has she been? where has joe biden been over the course of the last 300 plus days of this conflict? it we never hear them talk about the hostages. we never hear them talk about americans that were killed.
8:10 am
if this had happened anywhere else around the globe, we would have had retribution, and we do not see that coming from this administration. why? because, if we go back to the previous segment, the college protesters, harris, that is kamala harris' base. they do not want a long-term solution for israel nor the jewish people. let's remember that. when everybody goes to vote this november, we need a long-term commitment to israel, and let me tell you what, kamala harris is not going to stand up and do that. >> harris: look, we know who they are, though. this administers and doesn't go get americans and trouble to lot afghanistan. there were so many people behind the lines of the taliban and the terrorists they are after 13 american servicemen and women were killed at the airport, on our way out of that country after two decades of war. we tried to deal with the taliban, that didn't work. this administration wanted to deal a few weeks ago with hamas. they've got the whole thing
8:11 am
upside down, and none of it includes sending in specialists like you were in the military to go get our people. let's get to this. it keeps getting worse for the u.s. secret service, if it could. in the wake of the attempted assassination on former president donald trump, new information is creating some even bigger questions around the quality of training and staffing decisions with the secret service agents. republican senator josh hawley says whistle-blowers told him personnel are "woefully unprepared" to properly protect the presidential candidates. let's watch. >> what i've heard tonight is that most of the agents who were there at that rally in butler were not secret service agents. they were in fact homeland security agents. get this, most of those homeland security agents, the only training they received was an online webinar. a two hour online webinar.
8:12 am
it is absolutely outrageous. now, why aren't these guys out there, secret service and fbi, doing regular briefings and answering questions, giving us answers? they are not doing any of that. they are hoarding the information and keeping it from the public. >> harris: wow. a two hour online webinar. the secret service responded to his claims just this morning and here's the quote. "respect the role of oversight. we know the united states service does. to date we have provided over 1500 pages of documentation to congress and have made employees available for transcribed interviews. these efforts will continue as our desire to learn from this failure and ensure that it never happens again is unwavering." no mention of the alleged concerns of the staffing at the butler rally, the bipartisan has task force in vista getting the shooting has requested interviews with local police and more information from them. this seems like a hot mess sandwich, and we are all choking on it.
8:13 am
>> [laughs] harris, you're absolutely right. there is no way this is acceptable. this is a former president of the united states, donald j. trump. he is also our candidate as republicans to be the next president of the united states. and to handle it in this sloppy fashion is absolutely unacceptable, and senator hawley is correct. it is outrageous. never, ever could i imagine training for such an important mission and using teams. i cannot imagine, as a young company commander, saying to my soldiers, okay, folks. we are going to sit down and look at a computer, and that's going to train you for your next mission. that is not acceptable. it is not acceptable. harris, we have got to stay on this. we do have our role as the united states congress in oversight and we will get to the

i have been a tech found her myself. this is what we call an a/b test, harris. it's very clear. one result to the democratic candidate, complete different from the republican candidate. the interesting thing about this, which is in a long line of examples of big tech bias, every single time it happens they say it was a mistake, it's an error, and we always say, funny how the errors always seem to go in one direction, which is pro-democrat, anti-trump, anti-republican. and the reason for that, people think of tech companies as computers and algorithms and everything is coded up. but it's human beings who do the coding, and human beings who write the algorithms. and actually the vast majority, upwards of 90% of the people, especially on the tech side, who work in these companies, they are democrats. far left democrats, generally. not even in the mainstream. so we are always going to have this problem, as long as this

8:35 am
she even backed legislation to study the issue. overall, americans appear to be opposed to the idea. a pew research poll from 2021 21 found 68% of respondents were against it. it is sharply divided, though, when you break it down by race. mark meredith is live from the white house with more. >> harris, good morning to you. the debate over reparations, whether black americans should receive money because previous generations endured slavery, is still a hot-button issue, but now we've got pro reparations advocates who say vice president harris needs to get a better idea of where she stands on this issue. "the washington post" has a headline today saying advocates hope she will boost momentum to reach these black americans, especially after she made these comments back in 2019. >> i think there has to be some form of reparations and we can discuss what that is. >> this is not a major issue in the race right now, but the idea of reparations came up in chicago last month just as the

dnc was underway. when congressman barbara lee said the idea of reparations is long overdue. >> we have to support respirations. i have a truth commission i'm trying to set up, calling for truth, racial healing, and transformation. so it is just the time to speak truth to power. >> in 2021, the white house said it supported a commission to further examine reparations, but the legislation never made it too far in congress. as for republicans and former president trump, if this were to be an issue, he was asked about in 2019 and he said "i don't see it happening." harris? >> harris: mark meredith, thank you very much. let's go to leo terrell, attorney and fox news contributor, now. as a former civil rights attorney, and you still do that, but now your hat is bigger than that, tell me about how this really works. if people want to demand reparations, they could do it for a whole host of things like badly handling the economy and leading us into a depression
8:37 am
decades ago. >> the whole idea of reparation is for one purpose, to keep demoblack americans in the democratic party and to pander. i want to be clear as possible with 35 years of practicing law. federal reparations is impossible and unconstitutional. why? there's no causation. you can't give out taxpayer federal government money based on skin color. no american today is responsible for the sins of slavery. no american today can show harm, direct harm, from the sins of slavery. you will see kamala harris talk about reparations to black audiences. she is in new hampshire today, harris. she won't talk about reparations. she won't talk about reparations and battleground states because it divides the country, and it is unconstitutional and racist. >> harris: i want to get back to a quick point here, because it actually means making amends for a wrong. reparations, when you look it up, it doesn't have anything to do with skin color.
8:38 am
so even if we don't have a u.s. constitution, it wouldn't make sense, and you just said why constitutional it can't be. but with something like the great depression, if you lost everything, that is different. that is more neutral. did the government have anything to do with how the finances were governed? nobody went after reparations, did they? >> absolutely not. as a lawyer, you have to have a legal claim. who is the bogeyman? who is directly responsible? show me the receipts of evidence that you can establish that, because of slavery, because of the depression, you were directly harmed. >> harris: today. >> we have black billionaires, black movie stars, black actors. it makes no sense, harris. >> harris: black-indian vice president you want to be president in the white house. the federal election interference case against former president trump resumes tomorrow, and the judge will have to figure out which parts of the indictment still stand, and which part should be tossed
8:39 am
out after that u.s. supreme court immunity ruling. special counsel jack smith revised that indictment after that high court decision, and here is constitutional attorney jonathan turley. >> it is the shrinkflation indictment. it's the same packaging, just less product inside. the biggest problem for smith is, if trump wins the election, he's going to end up looking like captain ahab without a ship or crew. because it's very likely the special counsel investigation is going to be scuttled or terminated with a trump victory. but even if he -- even if trump is not elected, i think that smith has a pretty heavy load to haul. >> harris: the former president has a busy court calendar this month. i mentioned this earlier. the two big dates, that hearing tomorrow with immunity at the heart of it, and his new york fraud sentencing on september 18th. we will get to the second.
8:40 am
let's start with this idea now that jonathan turley was just talking about, how tough this is for jack smith's special counsel to go forward against trump. >> i'll tell you right now, that case that will be heard tomorrow has no legs. it is empty. jack smith filed the same four charges to save face. why? because besides the immunity case, the supreme court ruled, and i will submit to you as a lawyer, those obstruction charges are history. they are toast. when that charge is challenged by the trump team, they're going to find out the case will fall apart. the good news for trump is that case will not see daylight before the election. it is just a status conference. dates will be referenced but nothing will happen for the case. >> harris: perhaps more expediently politically for the kamala harris side of the room, it would not happen before the debate that is scheduled for next tuesday. >> absolutely. i'll tell you right now, every
8:41 am
time the democrats or jack smith try to go after trump in court, it backfires. the american people understand that the legal system against trump is stacked solely against him because he is running for president. it has no effect on him whatsoever on his campaign. >> harris: september 18th, the sentencing in the fraud trial against trump. where do you put that? >> i'm glad you asked that question. let me be very clear. it's not to september 18th, it is september 16th, as well. september 16th, the judge will decide whether or not to entertain the motion to throw out the verdict. if he doesn't, harris faulkner, september 17th is going to be critical, because that is when the trump team will have to file an appeal to avoid the sentencing on the 18th. the 16th, 17th, 18th are three critical dates, harris. >> harris: a homework assignment for leo terrell for us to follow those dates. that was compelling because i haven't heard anybody else say it, so we are all over it. thank you, leo.

everything for her. he's not in office, she is. she's got the bully pulpit. interesting. tight, tight, tight. well, they are both gearing up for their first debate next week. trump is ramping up his schedule. his campaign says rallies and speeches are a big part of his preparation. harris is headed to what they call debate camp in pittsburgh tomorrow. she will take breaks to see pennsylvania voters, and she is getting help on the campaign trail from her boss, president biden, but the white house won't say if he has offered any debate advice. okay, where is the laugh track they are? here is press secretary karine jean-pierre. >> he certainly is very proud of the vice president, and has seen her as a critical partner over the last 3.5 years. they talk regularly. they talk very much regularly. you saw them yesterday, and they certainly stay in touch.
8:50 am
>> harris: gianno caldwell, fox news pedicle and osprey david carlucci, former new york state senator. great to see you both. and i don't know what biden could teach kamala harris about debating. he had a hard time against her debating. of course he failed against trump, which is why he's not on that ticket anymore. david carlucci, headed into this next stretch, what are you looking for? >> well, it is an exciting time. i saw you at the dnc, and there wasn't room to stand. it was so crowded and people were so excited. >> harris: oh, my goodness. >> she's got the momentum. she has got the polls showing that. and now we see that donald trump has hit a ceiling. we know who he is, we know his bag of tricks. he's talking about bringing america back. he's trying to -- >> harris: but she is in office. >> but he's trying to have his cake and eat it too on abortion. i'm trying to understand, is donald trump pro-choice now? does he want us to believe that?
8:51 am
>> harris: he is where he's always been. he's always advocated for exceptions. he's always done that. he's always thought they should make up their minds on what they do and that the voters be part of that. i would let you start to argue more, but this is gianno's moment to shine. >> let's give him a shot. >> harris: gianno, can you believe where he just started when the obvious thing is that she is in office already? >> that's right. joe biden has regularly said that they make decisions together. they are partners. >> harris: no daylight. >> no daylight between the two of them. if i am donald trump, at this debate i would be asking. you agree with joe biden. your decision is joe biden's. 80% of the country if not more believes the country is on the wrong track. not to mention, in the keystone state, where the debate will be held next week, we've got the keystone pipeline canceled on day one by the biden-harris at administration. we are talking about 59,000 jobs, almost $10 billion in
8:52 am
economic opportunity erased on day one by them. she's going to have to stand by her record, and this is something she has not been doing because she has had only one interview compared to j.d. vance and donald trump, in which they had over 35 interviews. this is the time to call her record to the carpet, and she has to face the music. this is what democrats are most afraid of. >> harris: if you want to know her policy, just ask amazon's alexa. she can't, because she does know that part of the story. vice president harris is getting some attention for her labor day rallies in detroit and pittsburgh, for a very interesting reason. not what she said, but the way she said it. let's watch. >> you better think a union member for sick leave, you better thank a union member for paid leave. you better thank a union member for vacation time. thank union's for sick leave. thank union's for paid family leave. thank unions for your vacation time.
8:53 am
>> harris: if only it were a one-off. nope, she does that thing. >> you all helped us win in 2020, and we gon' do it again in 2024. >> harris: i'm from atlanta. no comment. white house press secretary karine jean-pierre dismissed the question about harris' accents. >> since when does the vice president have what sounds like a southern accent? >> i have no idea what you're talking about. do you hear the questions? do you think americans seriously think this is an important question? the question is just insane. >> is that how she talks in meetings here? >> i'm just -- we are moving on. we are so moving on. >> harris: code for "i don't know why she does that, peter." david, why does she do that? >> well, i think anyone that is giving speeches, they can change their inflection, they can change their town, and they get
8:54 am
into the moment. but i think the press secretary is absolutely right. who cares, right? this is why kamala is on a roll. she's got momentum. you will see republicans trying to throw everything, including the kitchen sink, at her, and it doesn't seem to be working. they want to take anything. the way that she inflects her tone, or accent? i mean, come on. this shows me that republicans or desperate, that donald trump has hit a ceiling, and it is kamala's race to lose now. she is in the driver's seat and i think she is cruising towards an election in november because momentum is on her side. the more people find out about her, the more that they like. >> harris: gianno? >> vp harris is just as authentic as a $6 bill. and for those who are watching, $6 bills don't exist. i'll tell you, this is something she is looking to do to t relate to these audiences she is in front of, because she has not been able to connect with them her entire term.
8:55 am
we have not seen her. we have seen her at ribbon-cuttings, but not doing some of the hard work for the american people. and people recognize that they are personally suffering. we got over a trillion dollars in credit card debt, with a 10 percent default rate. it isn't working, unlike what david is saying. but we shall see, as we see the debate, if she gets exposed. >> harris: david, i don't know if there is an equivalency to what she's doing, but the reason people talk about it is they notice it has a zip code and a demographic and a culture and potentially a race attached to it. at least she thinks it does, because when you look at who she's talking to and where she is, that's where she is. so it's just a question to her. maybe she can deflect and answer it quite simply. but that is why people talk about it. >> i think kamala harris' story is when they need to be told. >> harris: she should tell it! >> caller: . okay, speak 26 is next thank you, gentlemen. it might be the perfect size to do this.
