guard yen. good morning. this suspect was questioned by the fbi last year because of threats he made to commit a school shooting. there was no probably cause for his arrest. warning assigns were there and this was not prevented, what do you think about that? >> only so much you can do when you get warnings. they come in, figure out who they were and went to jackson county, northeast of where the school shooting was. the father and son were interviewed. the father said the son did not have unfettered access to the weapons. they did what they could and left. no probable cause to take other action. that happens a lot of times and they don't result in school

shootings later on. this one actually did and they'll have to go back to make sure everything was done properly. sometimes you just don't have -- it was a lead and i don't know if the warning followed from county to county. >> todd: going forward, should we have a new standard in our country, one strike and you're out. if you make a threat to shoot up a school, you are out of school and expelled and under sur surveillance for the remainder of your days. that is not free speech. you cannot threaten to shoot up a school. >> they have to look at the evidence, if they had strict evidence he did the threats and absolutely you have to have something like you talked about, if there was no actual evidence to connect the two and something

when you compare back-to-back administrations, donald trump defeated isis. donald trump didn't have the invasions in the wars that were started under the biden-harris administration. and if you look at how weak the white house is, you look at kamala's positions how she waffles on israel worst than joe biden ever could, i believe, is going to make the united states and the world less safe. and he is right about russia invading ukraine and israel. u.s. military assets overseas as well. we very a taliban that aren't designated as stairs organization. a lot going on around the world, if donald trump gets reelected i believe our country and allies will be much, much safer. >> that last point that you mentioned the taliban not being designated a terrorist organization by the biden administration. you have to ask why? what are you waiting for? and you're basically asking that with your new bill it. would force joe biden to declare the taliban a terrorist organization. beyond just that nomenclature

what would happen with that designation per your bill, congresswoman? >> by not designating them as a terrorist organization it, effects other nations might do business with the taliban and entities related to them. but who wants to do business with terrorists, anyone that does. aren't friends of the united states, number one it. would effect the way aid may be received by the taliban. we know that they received tens of millions, maybe north of 50 to $100 million over the last couple of years through the u.n., through ngos, oftentimes funded and paid for by u.s. taxpayer dollars. i want all of those things to end. let's call a terrorist what they're. let's designated them. it matters that the way we designate them matters the way other countries are treated. take the houthis, for example, they also are not. they don't have the most stringent terrorist designation. effects the way saudi arabia interacts with them and pays some of their bills, for example. we want to make sure that we don't negotiate with terrorists, they don't receive foreign aid

from the united states. we don't want neighboring allies, either to do business with them. look at what they are doing to women in afghanistan. >> carley: that's good point and amazing after we fought a 20 year war against them they are not already on that list. what sort of support are you seeing on the -- frommer the other side of the aisle on this? >> it should be a bipartisan issue. but, like most things as congress, things are often partisan. we're going to be -- i will be working very hard to try to get as much as i can across the finish line before the session ends. we only have a few more weeks left. i will be working hard on this and many other pieces of legislation to get both sides of the aisle on board. >> todd: seems like both sides should be on the rule of law that says foreign citizens cannot vote in our election. you need to show proof of id that you are an american to vote. >> 100 percent. >> todd: congresswoman nancy mace, we appreciate your time. and, with that "fox & friends" begins right now. ♪ ♪
