6:30 pm
ukraine that they pay for any weapons that they buy and that would be contingent on the military weaponry that they need to get from us? would that be fair and your view? >> i think ultimately what you're pointing to is that the first there's nobody in america or american politics i think if that is rooting for vladimir putin. i think overwhelmingly people want ukraine to win and want russia to lose. the only thing as what can we afford to provide them that is with our national and transfer ukraine and has to be balanced out with all the other needs that we have, both foreign and domestic. the biggest threat in the 21st century is what's happening in the endo- pacific. the massive buildup of chinese military capability has to be her overwhelming priority. we have a threat from terrorism coming into our country from a wide-open border, and things like that that we have seen. we are now in an era, we have always been in a narrative prioritized but now more than ever we have to prioritize everything that we do. my biggest problem with the biden approach to ukraine is

they've never defined what his victory in strategy and the outcome that are trying to help them achieve. you don't have a strategy were defined outcome than what are you funding? what are you funding if you don't have a strategy, how do you know what your funding is that right amount or the right thing? i think that is what it's imperiled u.s. support to ukraine in terms of congress. that's the approach i think donald trump will take, which is i don't want russia to win but i want this war to end and we want to do what it takes so we can save innocent lives and we are going to help ukraine but it can't be unlimited amounts. it's not realistic. >> sean: mr. moreno what is your take on the gog -- doj alleging yesterday that they're using influencers in social media paces to spread propaganda? they're saying their disinformation topics are topics that we often find in this program and i have no relationship with russia at all. record if you talk about record inflation, on affordable prices

forward to your new book, congratulations. number 2 a lot of people weren't expecting what happened today but it didn't surprise me at all. >> i'm the same. i couldn't imagine that they were going to go through this lengthy and very detailed trial that inevitably no matter how much they tried to keep joe biden's name out of it, everything that hunter was earning money for was about joe biden. he was the business and he was the product. so inevitably was going to dragon joe biden and by extension kamala harris. in a narrow election, it would have damaged her. so i think there's a lot of pressure on hunter but he has nothing to lose because his father is going to pardon him anyway. everyone knows no matter what joe has said in the past. >> sean: i agree with that. want to get your take on that and whatever happened, we have the other hearing in d.c. today

and that judge in that january sixth case and the new filing by the special counsel. and what's amazing to me, i thought they had a policy of not doing 60 days before an election and here we are professor dershowitz. >> first of all we have to understand that the crimes has biden has pled guilty to our real crimes. real crimes. on like the made up trump fake crimes. not a single one of the crimes charged at donald trump would be charged to anybody other than a man running for president. they are made up crimes completely in the new york case, the washington case, totally made up. i predicted that he was going to plead and he has no option but to plead but the case against him is overwhelming. but it was mishandled from the very beginning. i suspect that the long decisions made in this case and

they were long from top to bottom, were made by hunter biden himself. perhaps in the white house. but nobody who is going to plead would wait so long, and usually plead early to get a good deal. you try to get the two points for acceptance of responsibility. when you ask for another plea and says i didn't do it i am innocent, you risk losing those two points so that everything is wrong. i don't think that adding the lawyer would be the engineer of all of these mistakes. i suspect that this is hunter biden who wanted to go to trial, understood he couldn't do it and then walking to spare his family and from a legal point of view this is a complete disaster. from a political point of view it's probably okay. here i respectfully disagree with both of you. i do not think there will be a pardon in this case. unless joe biden finally says i

am no longer president, my loyal comes first. but this would destroy his legacy. i suspect we are going to see a moderate prison term, no computation and no potter pardon. >> sean: i think we are likely to see a pardon. miranda what is your take? i thought 60 days before an election that we wouldn't see what we saw in washington, d.c., play out, where they might do an entire evidence dump without a trial, prior to an election while early voting is going along? miranda. >> it is so dishonest it is a political hatchet. it is so obvious when, you know, the federal government has a 90 day rule when it comes to hunter biden, around the midterms around two elections they just put down all of their tools and stopped work for three

months more on the hunter biden investigation which is again a roadblock and justice being served in a timely fashion before the statute of limitations ran out on the most serious crimes. so there is just such a difference in the way that the hunter biden fiasco was handled by the doj and the way that this special counsel jack smith is treating and that the judges are treating donald trump an unfortunate damage gets done. >> i agree with that and i agree for one second that this judge is not taking into consideration the political ramifications of this case.
