steve all right. ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the 7:00 a.m. east coast hour of "fox & friends" for this friday, september 6th. 2024. we are live in new york on the couch and lawrence is standing in a diner in north carolina this morning. and we will be been in just a moment. meantime a fox news alert. 14-year-old suspect in the georgia high school shooting case expected to be in 90 minutes, meanwhile his father arrested on the most severe charges ever filed against a parent of an alleged school shooter. hear the exchange he had with a concerned sheriff's officer last year. >> brian: and ice is confirming that venezuelan gang members arrested in aurora, colorado are here illegally and we were released by the biden harris administration.

>> ainsley: second hour of "fox & friends" starts right now. >> brian: yep. there you go. now it's official. to a fox news alert. in an hour and a half the teen accused of murdering two teachers and two students at georgia high school is expected to make first appearance before a judge. >> ainsley: this comes after his father is arrested and charged in connection with with the shooting rampage. >> steve: danamarie mcnichol is live in winder, georgia outside of jail in the courthouse complex. and danamarie it sounds like the father is charged because he supplied the weapons that killed those people. >> that's right. details we learned last night. now the teenager being tried as an adult, as you mentioned will make his first court appearance here at the courthouse. he is facing four charges of

felony murder for killing those four individuals in an ar style weapon. that law enforcement said his father gave him as a christmas gift. >> these charges stem from mr. gray knowingly allowing his son colt, to possess a weapon. >> georgia law enforcement officials pulled 54-year-old collin gray responsible for the tragedy that struck apalachee high school with the most severe charges alleged shooter. second degree murder and cruelty to children. the 14-year-old was on the fbi's radar last year after tips came in about alleged plans for school shooting. local police visited the home and questioned the father and son, take a listen. >> are they accessible to him? >> they are. i mean, there is nothing loaded, but they are down.

he knows the seriousness of weapons and what they can do and how to use them and not use them. it's no joke. >> well, we wouldn't be here if it was. >> i know we talk about it quite a bit. all school shootings, things that happen. >> as police are also questioning the mother of colt gray who has a criminal history. she was charged with family violence and drug possession after being found with meth. we believe she is cooperating with this investigation. and, of course, this rural georgia community is mourning the loss of four people who were killed. two 14-year-old students and two teachers. another 8 students and one teacher were also injured, but are expected to make a full recovery. and the shooter will not be here marrow county courthouse untilly but join first court appearance virtually at 8:30 this morning. of course we will bring you details once we get them. back to you.

>> steve: danamarie, thank you very much. she just mentioned some of that sound and we played it where the dad is talking to the sheriff's officer back in 2023. apparently, one of the things that the father said, the dad said the kid can't really get the guns. the kid said i didn't make those threats on discord. the officer said listen, keep the guns under lock and key and keep the child out of school until this matter could be resolved. the problem was school was already out. the father also said he would be mad as hell if his son had made the online threats about a school shooting because then, all the guns will go away he said. according to the "new york times." got one of the transcripts. >> timeline was may of last year, 2023, when police did go to the dad's house and question him about these online threats that his son was allegedly making. and the dad said no, you heard the conversation. no, the guns, he has access to

them but the guns don't have bullets in them. we are a big hunting family. i have pictures of the first time he shot his first deer this year. it was a celebratory event. he had blood on his face. which is a tradition do you when you shoot your first deer and it's a bonding experience for dad and son especially down south. but then, a few months later, it's christmastime. christmas of 2023. last christmas. and the dad bought him a gun. and apparently police were saying that's the gun that was used here on this campus. >> brian: you talked to francey headaches earlier the former federal prosecutor how much trouble the dad is in. how he has second degree manslaughter charges. now, here in georgia we have had negligent homicide, especially as it relates to children and crimes against children for many years now and so i'm not surprised that he is charged with these two counts of cruelty to children facilitated second degree murder if you will. and for that he is facing anywhere from 10 to 30 years in

prison on each count remember ainsley while he said last year to investigators there are no bullets in the gun hesitate son is not allowed to legally purchase bullets. ammunition in this country father had to not only supply the gun. did it as soon as he was captured. know the dad and what he was told. have it on audio. now we know he is in jail. mom drug problem huge issue in jail. all t problems she has had. utter definition of dysfunctional house. it's a shame no one could have stepped in and saw more urgency a year ago when they found out he posted what he posted at discord. they do these cyber investigations that brought him to his house. and just because he says he deleted his discord account and denied it, why is he allowed to

get away with it? >> steve: apparently part of it was the fact that his name was in some spots in russian. and he said he told the cops, my account was hacked. and apparently they believed it. what's interesting is there has since the shooting been a search of his house. found out he was interested in mass shootings. especially the 2018 shooting down in florida of marjory stoneman douglas high school, where 17 people were murdered. > >> ainsley: they found documents that he wrote referencing past school shootings. some of the neighbors were complaining about how the children were treated. knocking on the door over and over, mom, mom, mom, let me in and crying. and she wouldn't let the children. in another aunt said that he was begging for help from everybody around him and the adults around him failed him. >> steve: teenager story. is he going to be in court about 90 minutes. we will show you what we can coming up. in the meantime, switching gears, ice now providing information about four people

from a violent venezuelan street gang who were arrested for a shooting aurora, colorado. officials confirm they were released by the biden harris administration after illegally crossing our southern border. >> ainsley: griff jenkins is live at the white house. >> good morning, guys. it appears the white house has a growing venezuelan problem. ice confirming in a statement to fox that all four venezuelan men arrested in connection with a shooting incidents at an apartment complex july 28th in aurora, colorado, illegally crossed the border in the del rio, texas sector in the past two years and were released into the country. now, all four have known or suspected ties to tren de aragua or tda for short. including the suspected leader, nicknamed cookie monster. this comes as a denver law firm hired to look into alleged gang takeover aurora building.

found began taking it over late last year and has a quote stranglehold now. they have been engaging in violent assault, human trafficking and preying on venezuela migrant population. the reports state this a consultant for the property management was, quote: so severely beaten and stomped by gang members he had to go to the hospital. gang members resident for refusing to pay rent to the gang. and, emails reportedly revealed colorado officials were warned about the venezuelan street gang's alleged apartment takeover but dismissed the claims. now, all of this comes as dallas police department confirming to fox yesterday, the violent venezuelan gang has set up shop in north dallas and has been engaging in criminal activity. and finally, border officials told me yesterday, that this is not only a growing threat, this violent venezuelan gang, but they are now making it a priority to target them because of the growing threat that they pose, guys?

now. because they are busing them here. >> steve: absolutely. when you look at it according to brand new fox news poll, the economy is the most important issue to 41%, meanwhile, the only other two items in double digits are abortion and immigration both at 14. now, one of the things that you have got to figure that donald trump is going to bring up on the debate stage come tuesday night in philadelphia, is he going to talk about the many times suddenly we have discovered that kamala harris, has done some flip-flopping on important i. remember, she and joe biden both have been talking about how important it is to pass the bipartisan border bill from the senate that did not happen. but, instead, what she is doing is she is actually embracing border security, which she hasn't done in the past. her latest campaign ad shows and i think we got a graphic of it. there it is right there.

fraudsters who ripped off consumers. cheaters, who broke the rules for their own gain. so hear me when i say i know donald trump's type. >> ainsley: oh, really. she wanted to give drug dealers three arrests before she charged them when she was d.a. in san francisco. and this is what her police chief in san francisco said at the time. this proposal asks us not to arrest but instead detain and release, observe narcotic sales suspects. when the same suspect is arrested the third time for narcotic sales, your office would then charge all three counts. additionally, narcotics dealers who sell drugs near a school would be released after only a brief detention. undoubtedly, this would send the wrong message to observant children who, unfortunately, witnessed drug dealing activity on a regular basis.

suddenly she ounce no, sir that she is running for president. i mean, is if she has changed her position on all of these issues, from the border to the straws, to crime, why isn't there a senate record she is the leader of the senate that reflects that why isn't there a push when came to these tiebreaking votes when she pushed back and says i have changed on. and so, it really goes back to the staff. the staff is putting all this out on background. she has changed on it. or they are putting statements out saying she has changed on it. she hasn't really gone on record and said she has changed and why she has changed. >> steve: it's absolutely right, lawrence. why she has changed is for political preservation. if she stood for all that stuff she said in 2019. she could not be elected president. mike allen on axios this morning sent out this note, just about how given the fact that suddenly she is changing the positions via surrogates who are

whispering into the ears of reporters, they write: harris is copying president biden's self-protection media strategy. ducked tough interviews and limit improvisational moments. with her debate with former president trump coming up tuesday, 9:00 p.m. eastern time. can you see it here on fox, harris has big questions to answer. for instance, why did president biden's top advisers routinely leak word that they found her performance as vice president disappointing or episodically problematic. also, how did her views change in five years from liberal to centrist on healthcare, immigration and energy. and finally, why should voters believe her new views are the ones she would stick with inside the white house? >> ainsley: exactly. >> brian: brian mike allen who wrote the story he has questions. he has been on this show before. why people are more curious to get answers explanations. i don't care how vote for. i just think if you do this for a living, this is not okay.

invitation. all right. those are some headlines. brian, over to you. >> brian: thanks so much. now this, israeli prime minister benjamin netanyahu telling "fox & friends" yesterday a cease-fire deal with hamas not close and denies he is at fault for the delay. >> there is a story, a narrative out there there is a deal out there. in fact, while we agreed in july and may and july and august. to a deal and to an american proposal hamas is consistently said no to every one of them. they don't agree to anything. obstacle to the release of war is hamas. release of hostages is hamas. >> brian: joining us now to expand on this general jack keane. general, your reaction to what the prime minister is saying? >> >> i thought the prime minister was very direct and also you know, very clear and the facts support what he is saying. the reason why we don't have a

cease-fire is because of hamas, time and time again. i mean, the last time we had a cease-fire and release of the hostages was back in november. and then since december of last year, it has always been hamas walking away from the deal. and now most of their force has been destroyed but not all of it, a lot of their leaders are still alive. the prime minister has a three objectives that is destroy hamas as effective fire. and make sure they cannot attack again. he is about finishing off the destruction of hamas and making sure they can't attack again and also trying to get the hostages out. where is sinwar? the only thing that sinwar wants is one thing. he wants the israelis out of gaza and a permanent cease-fire. and that is what is holding out for. and overwhelming majority of israeli people don't support that certainly the prime minister cannot support that under the current conditions. because he knows full well they

will regroup and reattack. that's what's on his mind. and that's why the philadelphi corridor, the so-called 10 miles between the gaza and egyptian border is so important to him. even those words weren't in the last deal. it was stay out of densely populated areas which the israelis agreed to do. hamas still rejected the deal. why? for the reasons i said. only one thing they are interested. in israelis out of gaza, permanent cease-fire. >> brian: let me just say since that interview. it's come to light that sinwar's plan was to get through one of those tunnels with hostages and get into iran. and that's exactly what the prime minister brought up these hostages got out through those tunnels, we would never see him again. general, i would like to talk to you about ukraine. we know zelenskyy is going to coming with a plan to show joe biden how he plans on winning. he wants to release the restrictions from the weapons we gave them. what progress needs to be made for them to be successful? >> well, certainly, when

zelenskyy has already demonstrated to us when that is he clearly intends to put more pressure on russia, and certainly taking 500 square miles of territory in the kursk oblast better known as province seriousness of that intent. also, he wants to be able to fire weapons into the military bases that are attacking him from raush into the air bases delivering these horrific attacks we have seen in the last two weeks. it's absolutely appalling that we are restricting him from doing something like that. normally in warfare, the evading country attacks you, certainly have the right to go back and attack that evading country. i think that's what give members of the u.n. -- general strategic picture in terms of what he is about. he is not giving up this fight. he has proven that he can take the fight to the russians as well. and also desperately defend his own territory. so the russians don't take any more of it.
