tv   The Ingraham Angle  FOX News  September 10, 2024 1:00am-2:00am PDT

1:00 am
hi, i'm kendrick. with the replacement, we could trust that serviceingers: lace.♪ >> greg: out of time. lee zeldin. our steward io studio audience. i'm greg gutfeld, see you wednesday. [cheering] >> laura: good evening, i'm laura ingraham, this is "the ingraham angle" from washington. my angle in a moment. first, the big debate is tomorrow night. new polls show donald trump
1:01 am
regaining ground in a poll by nate silver. and vice president joy, as things stand today, she's losing. as far as debate prep goes, one could argue trump has been getting ready for what, nine years or so? since 2015 really. unlike harris, he has an actual record to run on, not run from. what is kamala's vibe today? >> yes, i am. yes. >> part of debate prep for you? >> being at the spice store is so far. james e >> laura: this your oura is. they don't want a repeat of the 2020 debate.
1:02 am
on friday politico admitted her advisers were scrambling after rules to mute the mics were finalized. she could get thrown off by the muted mics. they are preparing for that possibility. now we know why kamala fought hard to change the debate rules. she claimed they were worried trump couldn't control himself. it is because kamala harris needs her verbal crutch when her caboos of thought goes off the rails. >> mr. vice president, i'm speaking. >> i have to weigh in. >> mr. vice president, i'm speaking. >> laura: if she manages to pull that tomorrow, excuse me, i'm speaking. trump should looka at her and sy
1:03 am
congratulations. speaking is fine, lying is not. for a woman supposedly so confident and experienced, she needs debate prep bells and whistles. we'll tell you about them later in the show. none of this helps her in the end. premise of her campaign is illogical, unless you think the woman who drove your car into a ravine should give your kid driving lessons. >> what do you want to get across to them? >> there is a lot, it is time to turn the page on the div divisiveness. it's time to bring our country together, chart a new wayrd if. >> laura: that's deep. if the moderator asks trump, is there anything you and vice
1:04 am
president trump can agree on tonight. trump could answer following way. yes, as a matter of fact there is, we both agree we should turn the page on the biden-harris administration. she can't turn on herself, i'll do it. harris troubles to articulate actual policy, should debate for her will have one purpose and one purpose only, getting under trump's skin to provoke some type of reaction that her team believes will rescue her from her own inkocompetence and they stupidly to her, telegraph this for past two weeks. harris sourcc news less about substance and more showcases a woman who is not scared and is standing up to trump and holding him accountable. i will give kamala advice
1:05 am
tonight. if you're a strong, confident, unafraid woman, you do not need to rehearse the role of playing a strong and confident and unafraid woman. you just are one. as biassed as abc is and they are, i down tballot they will have the approach kamala has gotten used to. >> we all need a mom. i i am thinking we all need a t tremendous hug. in our country, we need you to be mamala of the country. >> laura: i liked her in "et." tomorrow night kamala will result to trafficking in usual smears that did not work for biden. she will lie that trump
1:06 am
encouraged violence on january 6, when he said go in peace. she will lie about charlottesville and what he said about veterans, despite fact checks. she will lie about how illegal cases against trump are fair. they never would have gone after him if he had retired from politics. she will lie and she has created job. a bounce-back job to covid or they went for -- bring down inflation. she will lie she's tough on crime when we know the migrant crime explosion is destroying our neighborhoods. she will lie the immigration bill engineered by schumer and lan langford would have fixed the border crisis and trump killed
1:07 am
it. she will lie she is candidate for change, when she is just another puppet of the failed establishment. all trump needs to do is keep his cool and talk about plans to reinforce the border and remind people that freedom is always one generation away from extinge. the end of the debate, if he plays his cards right, she will look petty and ineffective and small. he'll look determined, like a seasoned leader who puts america first. joining us now is byron york and mary catherine hamm, fox news contributors. byron, you are in philly to cover the debate, what is your prediction for tomorrow night given the soft-shell interview she did, the univision interview
1:08 am
where she is flipping pages and her spice girl talk of the last few days? >> we may have some clues about it from this fight they have had over the microphones. remember when the microphone fight first came into the public, people thought it was because of the prospect of donald trump interrupting kamala harris so much. but now, we have learned that ia plan for kamala harris to interrupt donald trump. if you look at her, some of her promotional videos, listen to her staff, the one thing they talk about with her all the time as she is a prosecutor, a tough prosecutor. they love video of when she was on the senate judiciary committee. giving brett kavanaugh a hard time, went after jeff sessions. i think she sees herself as playing the tough prosecutor and having some sort of courtroom drama moment in the debate. of course, it's trump's job to be able to handle that and do
1:09 am
exactly what you just said which is just focus on the important issues. >> a new study finds that of the three big evening newscasts, abc's "world news tonight" run by the debate moderator david mir has been the most positive toward harris and the most hostile to trump. the study found that the coverage was 100% positive toward kamala harris and 93% negative toward trump. and it's a shock that the media have lost its credibility. >> kudos. it's hard to hit 100%. on the performance front, i think kamala harris in that clip you showed made me more nervous for her going into this. she is not comfortable in her own skin. she is not confident on that stage. i think trump sometimes has an opposite problem where he is too
1:10 am
confident, comfortable with himself on stage and let that get in his way. to the point about media, there is so much he can anticipate, that trump can anticipate as being biased, that he can anticipate them not holding her to account so that he has to hold her to account instead. she has had a vibes campaign and wants a vibes database. debates can be about moments. there can be a moment where you break through but that usually comes from some fluid to tea and quickness on your feet, most of which she does not have, but trump does. holding her to account on the facts m trump. i think "the new york times" paul mike this week shows that when it comes to making herself a change candidate, voters aren't buying that. trump can drill down on that. >> another thing that has not worked for harris, and the angle predicted it would not work, given the state of the economy, the border, is this idea that trump is the enemy of democracy,
1:11 am
but there is never going to be another election. people have literally said that on television, there will never be another election if he wins. that hasn't worked. people are not buying that. does she abandon it altogether tomorrow night? speak i think she probably does. delete great biden campaign for modern man who was running that campaign, -- january 6th, the future democracy, joe biden in his own way was mentioning that all the time. may see the end of american democracy. , harris pretty much dropped to that immediately in favor of the vibes campaign. will she bring it back? i don't know. it's much more likely that she will bring up trump's legal problems, prosecutions, guilty verdict he got in new york, and
1:12 am
see if she can get under his skin. you talk about her getting under his skin or trying to, i think that is her big strategy. >> i have a feeling trump is ready for this, but we will see. bernie sanders. mary catherine might have been a little bit too truthful on their flip-flopping on policy. >> she hasll now. she does not -- she has previously supported -- she does not. these are things you have campaigned on. abandoning her progressive ideals. >> i don't think she is abandoning her ideals.
1:13 am
>> i think she's doing what she thinks is right to would make the election. >> there is an election to win. i have to thank bernie for his frankness. i think it is something voters should keep in mind, something trump should hammer. none of the proposals have come from her own mouth. i'm not sure any of them have been named -- come from the campaign. even when they come from her, it should take it with a grain of salt because bernie is telling you to. >> we will be watching. thank you so much. coming up, kamala supported victims are scattered across the united states. they are speaking out an to duckduckgo on all your devie

1:18 am
so you don't have to compromise. powering smarter savings. powering possibilities. >> kamala's victims. >> laura: kamala's victims. vice president harris will try to argue tomorrow night she
1:19 am
deserves your vote because she's th e futures and donald trump is the end of democracy. all is calm in america with her in the seat and should be a beacon of safety. >> last year 554 deaths in riverside fentanyl related. inla 2016, we had two. this is tidal wave of death and destruction coming across the open southern border.en we have to get a handle on this fast, it is wrecking our communities. kamala's kabul does not care, nt they are bringing in certain amount of criminals, they wrote it off as collateral damage. elites are not affected, regular americans are, like in
1:20 am
sprin springfield, ohio. >> they are flipping cars in thm middle oidf the street. >> what do you expect of us as citizens? i understand they are here undea temporarrey protected status ani understand our city services arf overwhelmed, who is protecting me? >> laura: kamala's answer, sorry, you are on your own.s ma marching? orders from january 2021 were to import as many people into the country as possible by any means possible. >> we gave tps temporary protecteected status, 55,000 an extended temporaryy, protective status to 100,000 haitian gr migrantsan. they need support and
1:21 am
protection. >> laura: americans are out of luck , unless you want abortion or sex change operation, you nt will get no protection.ra if you are a migrant, and speaking of sex change, she did support gender affirming care. for migrants? yeah., call it equity aclu questionnaire shows kamala supported offering sex change charges to migrants held in custody. harris checked yes on offering government care for trans gender people and nonbinary people.no if anyone speaks out against this or anything else, kamala's camp will brand them intolerant or racist intolerant or just plain racist. >> folks stand up here and describe what is happening, they
1:22 am
are often painted with a broad brush of racism. that has nothing to do with it. color has nothing to do with what we are facing. its culture. >> kamala doesn't care. >> she's right. to use her phrase: let's be clear. this is the biden/harris policy. they know these migrants are going to cause problems. in some cases, they will commit heinous crimes. by the way, kamala harris knows that a disproportionate share of the victims of this heinous open border will be women. she does not care. if you think it's bad out there when it's two months before an election, imagine our country, what our homeland will look like with four more years of this. the establishment, they fought trump for nine years, try to put
1:23 am
him, his supporters in jail. to spend hundreds of millions of dollars to destroy him. the one thing that the establishment will never do is compromise on this issue of the border. over the last two decades, the astonishment has been -- some phony bipartisan deal, which supposedly address americans concerns. anytime we, and i underline "we" have met these bills, they are full of holes and give such broad discretion to the white house and their officials that it would always lead back to a policy of open borders. what happens to these bills? they end up collapsing, as they should. democrats have their political cover, and the republicans and stupid enough to cosponsor these bills have given democrats the political cover. tonight, i'm telling you that cover is wearing thin, as the list of victims, mostly young
1:24 am
women, continues to grow. that's "the angle." for more, let's go live to our west coast newsroom where fox's bill melugin is standing by. i know there was one particular case you highlighted close by in the manassas, virginia, which has seen a huge influx in illegals over the past couple years. >> laura, that was an attempted abduction at the hands of an illegal immigrant. the bottom line is we all remember back when kate steinle was killed by an illegal immigrant almost a decade ago it was so high-profile because it was so rare at the time back. now we are getting these headlines about egregious migrants crime seemingly every day at this point, many of whom were just allowed into the country by the biden administration. just last week, arrested a haitian migrant charged with sexually assaulting a 10-year-old boy. he first flew into the country last year as part of the biden
1:25 am
administration's mass parole program for haitians. over the weekend, you were just talking about this. police in manassas, virginia, arrested this peruvian alien accused of impersonating a police officer, then abducting a teenage girl as she was walking to a bus stop. price confirms to fox news that the biden administration caught and released this guy at the arizona border last december. then, last week, police in aurora, colorado, announced that four venezuelan men they arrested in connection with the shooting, known or suspected gang members. bice later confirmed to us all four of these guys are previously caught and released at the border in texas by the biden administration. also last week, a submarine man was charged in a heinous case of child abuse in virginia were two little boys ages 7-9 were found chaine had been previously deported and reentered the country as -- and then isis announced that they arrested this guatemalan illegal alien who entered the u.s., now charged with raping a
1:26 am
massachusetts resident. ice announced at their baltimore office alone has arrested a record 153 illegal alien sex offenders just this fiscal year. their latest arrest, this guy here, he two time previously deported under a national who was convicted of raping a maryland resident and come back into the u.s. every story i just mentioned right here, every headline, it's just from the last week alone. >> well bill, i remember that story in albany, new york. i think it was june 26th when it was first reported that an undocumented immigrant had raped a 15-year-old girl. he was arrested for having sex with a girl in a car during the early morning hours of may 14th. he threatened her with a metal bar. the victims, the list of victims keeps piling up. americans, they can actually
1:27 am
find this information out without reporting. our show, your reporting, a few other outlets. most americans, if they don't know a victim, they might not know this is happening. i think it's beginning to grow, but news about this and these stories are beginning to be heard by more people. do you agree? >> 100%. i have been covering the board of the last few years. even i'm getting to the point where i am shocked that these headlines are happening every day at this point. the guy you just mentioned with the albany, new york, rape, a turkish illegal immigrant caught and released at the border in san diego sector, an area where we have been a million live shots. seen men from the middle east, china, africa, south america, all over the world walking across the border waving to our cameras, flushing us a thumbs up knowing they will be released into the country. we had years of that. mass catch and release of adult men from all around the globe, our southern border with little to no ability to vet them.
1:28 am
the chickens have come home to roost. now we are seeing the results of what can happen as a result of the consequence of that. these men all over the country committing crimes in different cities across the country. of venezuelan prison gang setting up footholds in different parts of the country. everyday we are seeing some poor woman who has been raped, child who has been sexually assaulted. every time we reach out to ice for information on the suspects, a large majority of the time, it is someone who is caught and released at the border onto the biden administration. is happening over and over and over. >> i would imagine kamala harris tomorrow night will say something like "our numbers are down," and i think you have pointed out that if the numbers are down, coming through the ports of entry. they are not really counting the in between areas, and they are also bringing in people under legal cover as well from four countries, correct? >> yes. what they did was after they had back-to-back years of the highest illegal crossings ever
1:29 am
recorded, it became a big political headache for them. they created these two programs. one is the migrant flights parole program, controversial one where they allow 30,000 migrants a month to fly to the u.s. from four different countries, cuba, haiti, nicaragua, venezuela. some of the guys that are flown in via that program have been arrested, one for child sexual assault and another for an aggravated child raped, both haitian, and they are doing this cell phone -- they would allow people to schedule these appointments at ports of entry so they show up and get released into the country. we are talking like 70,000 -80000 people per month between these programs that come into the u.s. "lawfully," and never get counted in the border patrol members. those numbers have fallen off a cliff but the entry numbers are skyrocketing. they are bringing tens of thousands of people in every single month via these lawful programs and it has been effective at pushing those illegal crossings down. >> i imagine president trump
1:30 am
will raise that point. tomorrow night, excuse me. thank you so much for all of this information, your reporting over the years. something that "the angle" predicted about kamala harris is actually happening. what is it

1:36 am
polling guru nate silver says if kamala is up in the poll, that means she loses the electorally college. ined me now, this politl analyst and the florida congressman -- matt, according to these cross tabs, they are most interesting i think, in "the new york times" stand up poll first. 47% of voters say that kamala is too liberal or progressive. 32% said trump was too conservative. her effort to try to rebrand herself as some type of common sense moderate, is that working? >> no. what's interesting is the battleground polls i do are showing the same thing you are seeing in this "new york times" poll. that is the numbers but trump had one bite and was in the race are beginning to come back to trump at about the same levels as before harris became the
1:37 am
nominee, the designated nominee. your senior returns were trump was before. whatever was there is disappearing. i don't know what nonsense we will hear tomorrow night out of the media. trump -- going to pretend like she one night for us, going to bounce out of that. right now, donald trump has come on the upswing, she's on the downswing. nate silver is right. he would carry those battleground states right now, and as a correlated back to where they were in the biden 2020 race against trump. >> congressman, the cross tabs of this harvard/paris poll that just came out. i also think they are panicking at the harris campaign tonight. 63% of voters have a negative view on the u.s. economy. they say the economy is on the wrong track. 62% characterize it as weak, 42% name inflation is the most
1:38 am
important issue. 48%, congressman, said their personal financial situation is getting worse. i'm just beginning the ba bad ns for kamala harris in this poll. it just came out a few hours ago. i know matt is very familiar with it. congressman, how does she counter it tomorrow night? >> a couple things. the fundamentals of what's happening in the united states has not changed, even though the mainstream media tried to treat kamala harris as if she was a hollywood starlet. no amount of movie reviews and live commercials about how wonderful she is is going to change the reality on the ground. the reality remains that kamala harris and joe biden wrecked the economy, and their foreign policy is a mess. people are looking at that. what you're going to seek tomorrow night is a calm and cool donald trump explaining clearly to the american people the contrast between his
1:39 am
administration and the harris/biden administration. she has to bat 1.000 tomorrow night. there is no margin of error for her which will put pressure on her purple to be honest: she has not been good at these debates in the past. we've seen a. i expect donald trump to win tomorrow night. like i said a couple weeks ago, this is the beginning of the end for the harris campaign. >> josh shapiro must be breathing a sigh of relief. as we just mentioned, trump is tied in that pew poll, that pew survey. wicket where he was. trump was down by 10 joe biden in the same poll. in september 2016 he was down by seven. is that a bad poll or is trump way outperforming in 2016 when he won and in 2020 when he didn't won.
1:40 am
>> where he was in 2020 -- and every other state other than georgia which will be an iffy state i think that's coming around for him. i don't think the pupil was bad. these averages are bearing out the fact that we talk a long time ago about the facts that if trump were to win he would need a surge, a massive win. if you can win the debate tomorrow night, somehow escape the media trying to crown her as winner of the debate if he does a good job, he can get that surge, that wave election we talked about. in that case, you are not going to be worrying about that boat. >> the more she does like, the less significant she seems,
1:41 am
given the enormity in this poll. people are hurting in this country. to hear about charlottesville in january 6th, you are a convicted felon. >> that's right. not many places kamala harris can go, because she is the vice president. lying to the america people about joe biden's ability to do the job as president. if he does not have the capacity, she could not convince him to secure the border? could not convince him to fix our foreign policy? could not convince them about our economy? the american people have seen the travesty of the harris/biden
1:42 am
administration. they want donald trump back. there is a major pressure on her. to be honest with you, i do not believe she is going to be able to get the job done tomorrow night. >> though news on the foreign policy front is also bad for harris in these polls. this is why old. we will be watching it. thanks both of you for coming on. forget about commander in chief. kamala wants you to know that she can command a kitchen. next

>> i would like to see that, >> i'd like to see that. let's not skip this. >> i would make so many greens, i would need to wash them in the bathtub. >> laura: in desperate to elect her, media gobbles this up from associated press. kamala turns to food to connect with voters. this bombshell, her soda of choice, i like root beer, doug likes diet coke.
1:48 am
joining me is founder of american gravy concept. andrew, this is the question voters want an answer to tonight. tonight: does kamala harris have a future on the food network? >> potentially on the food network because she is so cool, and it's clear and obvious. this is something i would expect out of a middle school student council race, like your superlatives. "what is your favorite potato chip"? i cannot believe that the media is going with this. i'm overcooked, if you want to call it that. as somebody who has been invested in the food policy, food systems in america, this is what you are talking about when it comes to food? the media is not asking serious questions about perhaps her thoughts on banning gas stoves, which just recently, the harris/biden administration filed an amicus brief to overturn the berkeley ban that was overturned. to have to go out of their way to try and ban gas stoves. we were told for months they are
1:49 am
not trying to do that, it's just a myth and its one issue, and here we are talking about her favorite doritos or washing greens in a bathtub. that's disgusting. >> i don't know. it seems a little odd for someone who is this feminist trailblazer to then feel like she needs the kitchen thing, to sell herself as a serious pers person. bay it's great she seems like she is fun and would be fun to get drinks with the girls and have fun with being -- making desserts. she's probably talented at it, but we have serious problems. i know that the restaurant industry in california is hurting because of high costs. >> well, let's touch on that. as i said in the beginning of this, it's a popularity contest. this is a farce. i doubt she gets in the kitchen in a way in which she says she does. a little bit here, a little bit
1:50 am
there, but once again, use food as the great unifier to bring people together. you are right. california. we want to talk about food policy, crime valuation and taxes. what is tearing the restaurant community apart is crime. regulations are destroying this, and the reason why it food -- on the shelves is because of taxes. >> we have to talk about how doug likes pretzels to relate to women. that is how we think of women's intelligence. that's the only thing they care about our spices and doug's pretzels next. manager, thank you. great to see you. be presidential endorsements, rolling in, unexpected one from a party far, far away. se

>> time for seen and unseen, where we reveal the stories behind the headline. raymond, the polls, tighten, and celebrities, who back biden, are they kind of, some of them,
1:56 am
maybe readjusting their approach to this election? >> as i've said replated by, laura, these celebrity endorsements mean very little, but it's curious, from elton john to the rock, there's a new spirit of civility towards donald trump. >> how did it feel when he took the lyrics to rocket man, and used it as a nickname for kim jong-un. >> i thought good on you donald, i'm the rocket man. donald has been a finance of fa, and has been to my concerts many times, i thank him for his support. >> you still believe in my core, that's not who we are as a country. so in that moment, you wanted to see that. >> look, laura, performers enately read the audience --
1:57 am
enately read the audience, they anticipate what that audience wants or where they're headed. this seems to me to be a recalibration for some of these huge celebrities preparing for what might be another trump presidency. pop culture precedes politics. >> although saying the assassination attempt was bad, that's not exactly great outreach, it's kind of obvious, any crumb will do from hollywood, right. >> at a time when people are still saying they missed, they should have hit the mark, this is advancement in the culture. gretchen wilson has come out in support of president trump, listen. >> back in the day, my family were all kennedy democrats, but that's when the democrats were on the side of the people. once i started paying attention to what was really going on, i realized the democratic party left us. >> red neck woman.
