♪ ♪ >> hello, this is a "outnumbered." on kayleigh mcenany with my cohosts emily compagno and harris faulkner. also joining us, fox news contributor and former state department spokesperson under president obama, marie harf, and fox news contributor and former utah congressman, jason chaffetz. we begin with the presidential debate between former president trump and vice president harris. the debate, sparking intense backlash over how the moderators appeared to team up with harris to take on trumped appeared there was not a single fact-check for kamala harris, all as the abc moderators targeted trumped with tougher questions, more follow-ups, and nonstop corrections, challenging him in real time on his statements from abortion to crime.

or they could be partisan activists, and they chose the latter. i sat there watching this debate wondering "where is the question about the tie-breaking vote for kamala on inflation, the american rescue plan" gimmick i sat there thinking "what about taxpayer-funded gender transition surgeries for illegal immigrants" gimmick it didn't exist. a visual aid. where's her question about the running mate -- abortions being left to die before changing the reporting requirements. we will scroll this as well. where the questions about every single one of these policies, these radical policies. i believe one or two were mentioned casually. none of harris' policies were mentioned. >> not by the moderators. donald trump was bringing up things. he was the one, and then he was fact-checked for bringing up items about this, particularly with the subject of abortion. when you watch, was one of his strongest moments and he filled his entire time. he was prepared for that question, so on and so forth. she hits him with ivf. she does not get fact-check for

not knowing that he talks about that all the time. the moderators again are not even following up and saying "madam vice president, why didn't you know that? that's been out there." hits the former president incorrectly." they didn't do that. they did the fact-checking about trump. "you know that he just said this, kamala harris." at the end of the day, i don't know how much this moves the needle for people, because we didn't learn anything about her. one of my guests on "voters voices" said it best last hour. trump what i've done well for insult to move his closing argument to every segment of that debate. as much as he had the border which is intensely important with people across the country -- we know that from pulling and talking with him, as i do. it would've helped for him to say "why haven't you done this in three and half years" gimmick literally with every single

had opportunities to use that time however he wanted. the challenge was, he used that time to take every bait kamala harris put in front of him. he spewed a lie after after lie after lie, and i'm glad that the moderators did fact-check some of them. i think that the american people last night saw -- setting aside what abc did or didn't do -- i think they saw two very different candidates, and a donald trump who when put under pressure from kamala harris -- and not joe biden, this is in june 25th when we were on this couch that after talking about that one. he was put on the spot. he lied and lied. >> but wasn't truthful for her to bring up the charlottesville hoax, bloodbath hoax? >> i'm going to say, i don't think those are hoaxes. i have lived in charlottesville. i was not there than -- >> but that's not what he said. speak i watch that over and over. it's not just that, kayleigh: so many times he has winked and nodded to whites of premises throughout his career. it's not any back to him.

democratic party, was on full display last night. it did american no favors and did not do former president tom trump any type of neutral or respectful platform. -- i will say that it's unsurprising. the unfortunate aspect of it was the lost opportunities and missed opportunities on the president's part to step in that gap, to unfortunately lift the weight that we can't depend on the media and moderators to do. what i saw last night was a very polished package of lies on one hand, and then a more emphatic, earnest delivery of the truth on the other. at the end of the day, if you are voting on personalities, that might have moved the needle, but if you are voting on policies -- and i pray to god every american is -- that i hope you look beneath the veneer of someone who memorized scripts and someone who was coached perfectly, and someone who somehow absorb a lot of information we haven't ever seen coming out of their mouth for quite some time or ever -- and that can look beyond that to see

i would say one last thing. my home state of ohio, there is some politics going on, a father of an 11-year-old boy killed last year when a minivan by a haitian immigrant struck his school bus. he said yesterday john dominic donald trump and j.d. vance were morally corrupt politicians who were using his son as a political tool. i think this is a political issue in these families are caught in the middle. the facts matter here. last night we heard a plane from kamala harris to build on what they've already done and an argument for why donald trump had politically killed a tough immigration bill and he didn't have a good answer. >> what's ironic about that, and it's disingenuous from her. i don't want to accuse you of this because we're just quoting her. what you mean it's already working? it's not. we one more than 10 million people, most illegal and not vetted into this country. we've seen a spike in crime that involves illegal immigrants in this country. we have seen girls, particularly

young girls and women targeted in those violent crimes. we cover them far too often almost daily. what in the world are you talking about and why are you quoting her? she's had three and a half years to do what he just said with the stroke of a pen. what he did was reflexively put in perhaps a fraction of what trump had had. they will not touch as policies that work because they had their name on them. we can even see it coming. we don't know that they are coming. we don't know who they are. when you quote her for having done so much and building on that, that's really offensive. we are living at a point where she really wanted to fix it, they would have done it by now. >> quickly and i want to move on. what i think is offensive, if the biden administration with kamala harris agreed to an incredible tough border bill that would've put more agents on

the border. >> the second tough border bill. >> and donald trump killing it. >> and all the respect, we are doing it in a debate, you call this a red herring. you are saying look over there and look at the legislation. donald trump didn't need that. the president has authority to put forward an executive order to shut down the border. you say that this worked because three years into it, kamala harris and joe biden did this. they could have on day one not rollback has 100 executive actions. i think this discussion misses the most important part of the immigration debate last night, and here it was. when donald trump brought up migrant crime which he is correct about -- you have nypd sources saying 75% of people arrested in midtown manhattan are migrants, 60% in queens. that's the police department. the most important part of the debate was when david muir looked at kamala and asked how she responded to migrant crime. she showed have said -- what she could've said was "i care about these women. this mother five." she didn't. she brought up trump l'affaire,

trauma that occurs when you witness something terrible happening to a loved one. the trauma she suffered is real. i cannot imagine. her pain is so real, and the fact that her pain is now made worse by a failure to have answers. >> i want to come back to you on that one point, emily. some people are saying "why did she not speak up sooner?" somebody has to process this. i meet people in the grocery store, across the country who talk about it. "do we know why it had to happen that way?" they are angry and hurting. this hurts the whole country what happened to a former president. it does not matter political who that person is, but it hurts us. if he is killed in that moment, we had that happen in this country before. it breaks as. take all the time she needs to grieve and rejoice that he made it. >> absolutely. as we speak on september 11th.

living through this every day still. it's really scary. he is still talking to voters. another person was injured. i think that we all have questions. we have talked about the so many times on this couch. i will address the conspiracy theories. there are a lot of conspiracy theories on twitter and other social media platforms that are, i don't even want to repeat here because they are offensive. i'm not going to. some of them today are using her statement to say maybe there is something the government is hiding from us that's not just incompetence. >> but she cannot questions? >> i didn't say that. i'm answering the question. you said "what is the conspiracy theory?" i find the conspiracy theories horrible given what happened. >> i asked what that meant in that context, why the person you quoted -- >> because it wasn't necessarily necessary for the former president's wife to ask questions, and for america to ask questions.

is a tough issue for voters this november. during the last three and half years under the biden/harris administration, inflation has skyrocketed. during the debate, vice president harris was asked whether americans are better off now than they were four years ago. instead of taking that question head-on, harris dodged. former president trump would not let her off so easily. >> vice president harris, you and president trump were elected
