>> are some of the prosecutors on this case some of the same prosecutors that have been hand, inc. that or worked on the maxwell case? >> so i'm not going to get into the staffing. i will say that this team, this group of ausas, incredible group has been working on this case around the clock and have had their hands full. next question. >> nbc news. >> combs' attorney said his client has been cooperative with investigators. i wonder if you would have a reaction to that. >> let me say this. i think that generally with increasing frequency the word cooperative or cooperating has taken on tremendous elasticity and it no longer bears any relation to what the word means when we use it in a very specific context. so responding to lawful process
8:50 am
and the like does not qualify as cooperation when we use that term here. >> a.p. >> to that end, was there any discussion of mr. combs' surr surrendering. he was taken into custody in a hotel last night and maybe that wasn't the plan. can you elaborate why was that? >> i won't be able to get in operational details how he was taken into custody and when. he is in custody right now and appearing in court later today. >> any discussion of him surrendering they claim he is cooperating? >> i won't be able to get into law enforcement tactics or operations. >> [inaudible question] >> i can't get into the charging decision. it is very meaningful to us that weapons were possessed as we allege in the indictment. part of the reason why this
8:51 am
conduct was so pervasive and harmful is because victims and others didn't necessarily feel comfortable denying him his wishes as we allege because of the presence of firearms. i should leave it there. >> last question. >> given that he is the sole defendant in this case and that you allege he is part of a conspiracy that involves members of his companies do you anticipate a superseding indictment to bring allegations against other members of his companies or others as well? >> i can't take anything off the table. anything is possible. our investigation is active and ongoing. i think a lot of you who cover this office know when we say such things that developments are certainly foreseeable but i cannot predict them sitting here today. thank you, everyone. >> thank you.
8:52 am
>> harris: all right. there was a lot to get through there and had we known how graphic the detail was going to be from the u.s. attorney of the southern district new york, damian williams, i certainly would have given you some sort of warning of that. i know that there are people watching right now who might be at home with young children in the room. but we had no way of knowing and because this was a sealed indictment until now, we had no way of knowing just what the topics in total were going to be. we knew sex trafficking. you heard me say that. but when this u.s. attorney drilled down, we heard some things that were brought into focus in different ways. from 2008 to the present, they have been looking at claims against sean diddy combs that
8:53 am
encompass those things. sex trafficking, racketeering, violence and more. some of what we didn't learn and now i've given you an idea of where we're going to go next. so if this is graphic for anybody in the room, i will just give a moment. in fact, let me invite my guest to join me while you take care of your business at home. nichole parker, fox news contributor and former f.b.i. agent. look, nichole, this is a lot. the use of coercion, force, exploiting and abusing women to perform multiple acts of sex with male sex workers called freakoffs. the details were unmissable in all of this. your first reaction, and legally what does this expose combs to? >> first of all, these investigations in my opinion are
8:54 am
the most serious and the darkest that you will conduct as a law enforcement officer. that is exactly what you heard. this is a 14-page indictment with three counts. the abuse, the harm, the danger that these victims were placed in for years. this is an ongoing pattern of diddy's behavior. it didn't start yesterday. it has been going on since 2008. his attorney has come out and said this is an unjust prosecution. i've seen an unjust prosecution. we all have in this country. this is anything but an unjust prosecution. i would say that this is a rock solid indictment and it is time that this individual, diddy, takes it seriously. he has been in a position of power for so many years and runs this huge empire. a lot of people believe that when they have that much power, they are untouchable. they do not have to answer to the laws and you know what? the gig is up. this is a solid indictment out of the southern district of new

york. they're the best and after what happened with epstein, nothing is going to go unnoticed. >> harris: that's part of where i was thinking this was perhaps a little bit like. but this just gets so much more violent with the accusations against combs himself, violently assaulting people and the idea he would tape record all of this and use the recordings against the people to basically buy their complicity in his crimes. we don't have a lot of time with all the breaking news. your last quick thought. >> that's exactly what he did. videotaped them so he could use it against them in the future and they control their victims and they use it against them and say if you do this i'll harm you or hurt you or embarrass you. he physically and mentally abused them and emotionally abused them and must be held accountable. >> harris: nichole parker, thank you for your expertise. "outnumbered" after the break.
