country. what about trade policy? >> tariffs are not unique to president trump. president biden has some in place. he is looking to implement more. is there a good tariff, a bad tariff? >> you don't throw the idea of tariffs across the board. that's part of the problem with president trump. i say this in all sincerity, he is just not very serious about how he thinks about some of the issues. and one must be serious and have a plan and a real plan that is not just about some talking point ending in an ecclamation. trump is not serious about

trade, he is deadly serious. he passed a new nafta deal. and has a new deal with south korea and japan. he used tariffs to bring countries to the negotiating table. we had a great economy with no inflation. but the biden harris administration kept the tariffs on china and increased them. kamala was asked how she is going to help americans buy home they can't afford because inflation drove mortgage rates so high. >> some of the work is going to be through what we do in terms of giving benefits and assistance to state and local governments around transit dollars. and looking holistically at the connection between that and housing. and looking holistically about the incentives we can create in the federal government to engage in planning in a holistic manner that includes prioritizing affordable housing. >> jesse: i have no idea what she just said.

i have no idea. but it sounds like she will print more money and give it away. and then kamala was asked, how is she going to pay for the hand outs. >> giving the extra money for a first home, if you can't raise corporate taxes or if gop takes control of the senate, where do you get the money to do that, do you go forward with the plans and borrow? >> but we are going to have to raise corporate taxes, and we are going to have to raise -- we are going to have to make sure that the biggest corporations and billionaires pay their fair share. that's it. just paying their fair share. >> how do you find the line to make sure that corporations are paying their fair share, but not leaving the country? >> well, listen, i work with a lot of ceos, i have spent time with ceos, and i will tell you that the business leaders who are actually part of the engine of america's economy agree that people should pay their fair share. >> jesse: again, she didn't answer the question.

his massive outdoor rally. but dr. jill was. for an indoor event with just a few hundred people. same day. when it came to crooks, the secret service had a half hour's notice after being alerted about a suspicious individual with a range finder. but they never stopped trump from taking the stage. and they had a two minute warning that crooks was on the roof. but again, never pulled him off the stage. at one point, secret service saw locals running towards the agr building with their guns drawn. and they still never took him off the stage. counter snipers and this is weird, said they heard bullets flying by their heads, but wasn't crooks shooting at trump? i don't get that. despite trump only getting counter snipers because of the iran threat, none of the secret service agents were told about the iran threat. no one was told there was a new threat against the former

president that day. isn't that messed up. why wasn't merideth told about the iranians. one lead agent said they found out about the threats after watching it on tv afterwards. how are there this many failures when it comes to keeping the future and former president safe. senator ron johnson joins me now. what sticks out to you from this -- there is so much failure in one report. >> hello, jesse. first of all, people need to understand, most of what we know about what happened on july 13th comes from local law enforcement, not the secret service or the fbi. they are being opaque. you mentioned the one thing, we had one sniper we interviewed. they had an obstructed view. they couldn't see crooks. there was a tree in front of them. both the snipers believe that a bullet went between them. you can here the whiz crack from the bullet.

>> jesse: hm. >> that opens up questions. crooks couldn't see them, and they couldn't see crooks, but a bullet flew between them. and local law enforcement took the first shot at crooks. that local law enforcement officer was confident he hit crooks. now again we can't verify that because the body was creamated. we have not seen the autopsy report. apparently we have to subpoena it like the house did. we have not seen the toxicology report. we have not seen one of the fbi's transcripts from their over a thousand interviews. we have been given 12 people to interview, and quite honestly, the only reason is my staff talked to secret service agents on the ground, otherwise we would be floundering and the secret service wouldn't provide us any information whatsoever. from my standpoint, this continues to be a slow walking of information to us.
