los angeles and this is america's late news, fox news at night. >> the federal relief and assistance that we have been providing has included fima providing $750 for folks who need immediate needs being met such as food, baby formula and the like. >> trace: fima is apparently broke. at least a part of the agency that handled money to hurricane victims. >> we are expecting another hurricane hitting. we do not have the funds, fima does not have the funds to make it through the season. >> trace: they don't have money to cover another hurricane but has plenty of money to pay for illegal immigrants. maybe that's why the victims of hurricane helene say the government is nowhere to be seen >> i'm going to tell you every thing that's happening from the ground because what they are telling you is complete [bleep] on the news. they are allowing these people to [bleep] die in the mountains
8:02 pm
right now because we can't get helicopters. they've got money for everything else in the [bleep] world right now. >> trace: a florida state guard operator with a civilian flying a helicopter looking for signs of life and finding it. even saving an 11-day-old baby and an older woman with a one day supply of oxygen remaining. he and the man who joins the helicopter will join us in moments. meantime the dhs inspector general says federal agencies have been releasing noncitizens without identification into the united states and allowing them to board domestic flights p or it begs the question, who are these people? the senior national correspondent kevin corke's life with some answers. >> quite a story. while the homeland security secretary did insist today that they are out of money to help disaster victims for the rest of hurricane season, it should be noted that just last week congressional lawmakers made sure that they had more than $20 billion in its recently
8:03 pm
passed emergency spending bill. however, with... dhs was awarded $640 million by congress to help shelter and support illegal migrants. and that figure is up from 364 million in the previous year. while the pots of money that handled noncitizens and hurricane relief are not combing gold, questions are mounting tonight about why is there money to help communities deal with illegal immigrants but not money for natural disasters? >> they've given over a billion dollars to illegal migrants that came in and out they have no money for north carolina, for georgia, for south carolina and alabama, tennessee and florida. i think that's a disgrace. it's the worst run. >> former president trump there. hurricane season doesn't pass until the end of november.
8:04 pm
meantime lawmakers on capitol hill are expected to green light an extra aid package and a spending bill due around christmas and some democrat lawmakers want to increase aid for illegal migrants to around $3 billion. this is all happening as a brand-new report from the dhs inspector general finds that the border patrol, ice and tsa did not fully assess risks associated with releasing noncitizens without ids into the interior of this country and allowing them on domestic flights. among the key findings in their report, they say this. if border patrol and ice continue this practice, they may inadvertently increase national security risks. and quote. >> trace: kevin thank you. >> trace: the common sense department doesn't need a lesson in congressional funding to realize the federal government
8:05 pm
has screwed up again appeared they say there's not enough money in fima to fund the remainder of the hurricane season. yet fima is still actively funding ssb, the shelter and services program which provides funding to illegal immigrants, money for everything from housing to clothing to translation services. the program has spent more than a billion dollars in the past 20 months. when republicans complained about the lack of hurricane funding, democrats reminded them that ssp money is funded by congress and cannot be used for catastrophic events. common sense does not care about what money is in what bucket. common sense knows all of the money comes from u.s. taxpayers. so why does fima have enough money to fund a biden-harris policy disaster and not enough to fund an uncontrollable natural disaster? it appears there's plenty of money to help illegal immigrants in america but not enough to help american citizens in
8:06 pm
america. plenty of money for biden to open the border, not enough for mother nature to open the floodgates. common sense knows the people in the wake of hurricane helene are only asking for a lifeline. and can't even seem to get a timeline. let's bring in steve hilton and ... thank you both for coming on. and steve to you first. they can pay for the biden harassment man-made disasters but can't pay for natural disasters. what you make of this whole thing? >> i think americans are watching this tonight and absolute disbelief that this is what's going on with their government as you say, to hide behind some bureaucratic nonsense about which stream of money. no. this is our money and win our people are needed they should get the money. that's what it's for. i want to make about... it tells us a lot about kamala harris. i've worked right at the side of
8:07 pm
the leader of a country. i know that a big part of the job is when you have bureaucrats and aides bringing you plans that are no good you've got to push back against that. that insulting, inadequate proposal, $750 per she should have said i'm not saying that. you've got to bring me something decent. and said she went out and read it out. that tells you she is not the kind of leader we need appear she's not the kind of person that's going to push back against bureaucratic nonsense. >> trace: these are the objectives and i will let you go down these things. number 1 is about dei. number 2 is the whole community of climates. you've got climate change for number 2. number 3 is to make sure that fima is ready. you would think that number 3 would be number 1 because fima does not appear ready. >> in the equity argument is ridiculous because hurricanes don't discriminate on gender or ethnicity. the second point is earlier this year, they said they had enough
8:08 pm
funding for the hurricane season but again all of that went to not americans pay her we saw with ease palestine, ohio, and hawaii and win not... this is what an america last and ministry and looks like. >> trace: under current processes, cpb and ice cannot ensure that they are keeping noncitizens without identification from entering the country. tsa cannot ensure its vetting and screening procedures prevent high-risk noncitizens who may pose a threat to the flying public from boarding domestic flights. biden and harris is putting americans at risk is what this ig is saying. >> on top of the revelations last week that we discussed, 13,000... you try boarding a flight with no i.d. you try doing anything without an i.d. apart from voting which they love you to do without an i.d.
8:09 pm
and maybe that's connected to the story. >> trace: i want to put this up because this is for you. the dhs statement on the ig report. the inspector general's report contains an accurate statement -- and accurate statements and is misleading. the same people who are telling us the border has been secured for three and a half years says the ig has got it all wrong. your thoughts on this. >> they are completely lying to the american people and trying to cover up for their failed policies president donald trump gets a lot of flack for calling kamala harris stupid but win you look at policies that's basically giving keys to a stranger into your house and you don't know if they are murderers, i it's pretty stupid policies. >> trace: you are both correct. thank you both. >> we are in nashville and i saw two air force helicopters and they say we can't go we are waiting on orders. they can't get any authority. there's military helicopters all over here and they can't do

nothing. they're allowing these people to [bleep] die in the mountains right now because we can't get helicopters. they've got money for everything else in the [bleep] world right now. >> trace: the liberal media and the biden-harris administration are painting a picture of an urgent and competent federal government response to the devastation from hurricane helene but what's really happening on the ground and in the air and in those affected areas, let's bring in search and rescue expert and retired navy captain ... john howard from the florida state guard, special missions unit. and a north carolina helicopter owner participating in the search and rescue operations. john to you first because that was your post on social media they are. what you're saying is that you and your buddies rescued that 11-day-old baby and the federal government and the state government had nothing to do with it correct? >> correct. they had nothing to do with it. if it wasn't for people like him that donated his helicopter to us that baby would be dead. if it wasn't for strong leadership that we had that
8:11 pm

now under the weak leadership of joe biden and kamala harris. our enemies are going to continue to feel emboldened to do things like you just talked about where middle eastern airlines are jacking up the prices on americans trying to get home safely which we want to make sure those individuals get home safely. i don't know if we can trust abide in a administration with things like that. we have our own -- we see hostages being held in gaza. we have our own needs here and we are our own citizens trying to get a banquet if in the hurricane disaster down there. they created this mess. they might as well have paid for the missiles that were launched into israel when they eased of the sanctions on iran and love them to profit off their oil. they allow them -- they gave them billions of dollars back so they could fund their terrorist organizations overseas. all the meanwhile, all that was being done when around was on the brink of bankruptcy.

8:34 pm
and kamala harris in office because our enemies are emboldened. what i would see happening is that israel is not good to have a very large scale attack. it's going to be somewhere of a middle engagement or a midrange target that they attack it to show around that they are not willing to do this anymore and they are not going to allow them to continue to fire missiles into israel. >> trace: great to have you on the show is always. thank you sir. a star witness in trump's first impeachment now says the republican nominee has won back his support. former ambassador to the european union will join us live next. later a song inspired by trump and played at his rallies is now topping the charts. john cole and will join us live onset with more about his hit. here's a sample as we go to break.
