families as you heard are continuing to struggle to get basic necessities. that means that private citizens in the absence of federal government relief, they have to provide relief. and this is all despite assurances from the biden-harris administration that the government would have hurricane season completely covered. >> fema is tremendously prepared. this is what we do. this is what they do. and the key here, rebecca, is also to make sure that the communities who are potentially impacted are prepared as well. >> laura: can you believe anything that that man says about anything? like their lies about covid, inflation, afghanistan, the consequences have been devastating. >> we just feel like we are being forgotten. we haven't received any response from fema. >> we're not getting the amount of support that we need. >> we haven't seen fema. we haven't seen red cross.

we haven't seen hearts with hands. we have seen no agencies come in here. most people drive through with our animals out filming us like we're animals in a zoo. >> we the people. there is no we the people. it's them versus us. >> that's how it feels to many americans tonight kamala is on way to south carolina. this is a pattern we have seen play out crisis after crisis under the biden-harris administration. first, they falsely reassure us that they are prepared. then, when disaster strikes, we, the people discover the true story, the neglect, resources wasted on their left wing causes like dei or illegal immigrants. money that should have gone to

help american people in need, yeah. save it for a rainy day. then the cover-up comes. they politicize the tragedy by pretending they've done everything possible to alleviate the suffering while their media allies shift the blame onto the man who hasn't been in office for four years, donald trump. and then right on queue, here is politico, yeah, claiming trump is the man who made the disaster response himself political. but, in reality, trump is showing all of us what real leadership looks like during a natural disaster. today, he was in georgia again. this time alongside governor kemp. >> i want to thank president trump for coming back to our state again for the second time to view storm damage and keep a national focus on our state as we recover. >> i'm not thinking about voters right now. i'm thinking about lives. and, to be honest, it's much bigger than anything else. buff we are thinking about

lives. a lot of lives lost. a lot of people missing. and that's what i would be focused on right now. >> laura: a statesman, yeah. you saw it. and while biden and harris have been patting themselves on the back for how they have handled this disaster. trump is giving credit where it's actually due. >> i want to thank elon musk by the way for his quick action with star link. he supplied a lot of equipment to the governor, to georgia, and to north carolina in particular, and he acted very, very quickly. they needed communication, there was no communication, the polls are down, the wires are down. and he acted really really quickly. >> laura: of course kamala joe, they call up elon musk, the man that they have been setting pong for these past few years, thank him for the work is he doing? no. yeah. what they are doing though, is throwing up obstacles to his assistance. musk says he received a note from a spacex engineer that said

that the big issue is that fema is actively blocking shipments and seizing goods and services locally and then locking them away to state that well, they are their own. it's very real and scary. how much they have taken control to help stop people helping. we're blocked now in the shipment of new star links coming in until we can get an escort from the fire department but that may not be enough. now, the only way to stop this pattern that i just laid out, the pattern of neglect, lies, cover-ups, from having this repeat again and again, is to kick kamala out of the white house. otherwise, it's going to be another four years of needless and infuriating american suffering. joining me now is sarah marino resident of arden, north carolina. sara, i'm so sorry that everything that you and your friends and family have gone

through. describe for us, this is not about politics, this is about facts. how would you describe the government response in your area? >> yes, ma'am. thank you for having me on. >> i just want to shout my mom watches your show and watches you every night. she is very excited about this. you know, this is not about me. obviously, you know, i think from day one, the things that we were experiencing, you know, i think after two or three days, we were like no power, no water, like, what are we supposed to do? we're going to have to go out there and look for ourselves. you know, my neighborhood, wasn't hit, super hard. you know, i did have some damage to my home. but, i mean, even still, i think people should have access to an mre or case of water from, you know, hopefully fema or the guard. i think they should be out there

distributing those resources. and i'm not seeing that and i'm not hearing that that's happening. so, i just, you know, i understand the gravity, little by little i think we are understanding how devastating this has been. but, it's just like i said this three days ago like where are the resources? and it's now friday, it's been over a week. and i'm just not seeing that support in our communities. if anything, the community is carrying this. >> laura: well, as americans do, americans step in the breach, and they get it done. but, sarah, biden did speak out. he was asked the question of, you know, what else do these communities need? watch the exchange. >> what do the states in the storm zone need, mr. president? >> hey? >> what do the states in the storm zone need after what you saw today?

>> oh the storm zone? >> yes, sir. >> i didn't know which storm you are talking about. they are getting everything they need. and very happy across the board. >> laura: first of all, he said what storm are you talking about? then he said you know, they are very happy. how does that sit with the people of your area, you think? >> >> i have not seen that clip. you know, i saw the one where he said oh, i was on the phone for two hours. good for you, i guess. but, you know, it's just like, this is man who is running this country like, and he is saying like, oh, you know, what storm? while people are floating down the swannanoa river, like, i don't -- it's baffling to me. and insane to me. and what's even worse is i believe, you know, i have a background in journalism. i was a journalist for a few years. i don't take information that i

don't believe is credible. and i mean. >> laura: sarah, your family and friends are living oil-i know you have managed to get to a place are you can rest and you can stay. but the people of north carolina are dealing with what i understand to be now perhaps a hurricane that will ultimately be described as worse than katrina. and, get, it seems like the attitude toward these counties and these people, you know, it's serious, it got more serious when the complaints came in. but, i'm worried we're going to have forgotten people here. oh, oh absolutely that's going to happen. i mean, just the utter calllessness for the administration has been, you know, obscene to me. like, going on tv and saying oh,

agent. we're just learning about this now. the former agents cite the crushing amounts of overtime sometimes without pay, dilapidated draining facilities, and an agency unwilling to embrace new technology that could improve protection efforts. we have seen an exodus in the military, we have seen an exodus in law enforcement across the country, now we see an exodus in the secret service. why is this happening? >> you know, lawyer, this has been years in the making. this didn't just happen. for the last 20 years, the secret service has been routinely ranked in the bottom five amongst the 200 federal agencies. often they are ranked dead last. think about that, laura. the bureau of affairs. the last thing those guys did was capture geronimo ranked higher with leadership and manage wanted than the united states secret service. a systemic problem going on for decades. the current leadership in management continue to push that envelope to the point where it

broke and they are directly responsible for two assassination attempts in the last month and a half. >> laura: last night melania trump told sean hannity about her own secret service concerns. watch? >> the man with me and my husband are fantastic. i feel top leadership there are some holes and there are some problems. our team asked many times for more -- more security, more -- more help. and they were denied. >> laura: wow. that's from the former first lady's perspective, rich, how concerning is this? >> it's incredibly concerning, right in the detail that's around the president and mrs. trump, of course they are committed people. but they should never be in play. it's the people that are outside of these folks that should be doing their job and they are just not up to the task of doing their job. >> lawrence: richard, as always,

betting markets have begun to move back toward trump because of these factors. and the main reason that trump still leads kamala on the most important issue to voters, which is still the economy because of high prices. people are making less money in real terms than they were four years ago. most americans, working class americans, feel and are poorer now. i went to the grocery store today to get a few things for my daughter, who's coming home from college. i almost fell over when i was checking out like a box of cereal. like costs $8. what? like for most families, this just is not sustainable. now, even at this point, cnn cannot deny the right track, wrong track numbers

check this out. the numbers actually show that we lost 7000 manufacturing jobs in the united states, and much of the growth is coming from wait for it government jobs. 107,000 new ones since july 30th, 1000 from august to september. thanks, kamala. just what we need. more bureaucratic bloat. and we know

this as well, that most of the jobs are going to foreign born workers and illegal immigrants. over the last year, they've gained 1.2 million jobs. while native born workers dropped 825,000 jobs. well, of course, trump hit this today. else you have illegals coming in and they're taking the jobs. and when you look at the numbers from that standpoint, it's a shame we have to get the jobs. so great, great citizens of our country. now, none of this is great for american citizens, not good news at all. bigger government. more illegals taking opportunities. no wonder working class units tonight moving toward trump. unions that were historically endorsing democrats, are suddenly announcing that, well, we are staying on the sidelines this year. we are not going to endorse anyone. that means one thing. their manipulate wants trump. >> international association of firefighters voted not to endorse any candidate.

that's seen as a blow to harris just weeks after the teamster's union did the same of course, working class americans watch as the federal government coddles illegals but craters life for everyone else. and hispanic voters. they -- more of them are just fed up. a record number now supporting trump in swing states like arizona and nevada. key, key demographics. of course, kamala's response to all of this is no response at all. we will not be gaslighted. donald trump's track record is a disaster for working people. and is he trying to gaslight people all over our country. but we know the facts and we know the truth. >> laura: of course the media is never going to fact-check her claims. trump's policies brought strong wage growth to blue collar workers, undeniable, documented, you know, read the data, kamala at the end of 2019, inflation

was under 2% and gas was about $2.30 a gallon. well, i filled up my tank yesterday it was $4.63 a gallon. i took a photo. 82 bucks to fill my tank. this is just totally unnecessary. and it should make you furious every time you go to the pump, any time you pay for anything these days. so, again, to review, the economy, the border, hurricane management, unrest in the middle east, a stalemate at best in ukraine, and then a democrat ticket hiding from the press. all these factors should make this an easy trump win. and, the democrats are obviously concerned. and they didn't really think, i don't think, that wisconsin would be this close. but it is. even liberal tammy baldwin's senate seat is not a sure thing. in the final weeks of the campaign, expect a blitz of appearances by the obamas. and other celebrities. the usual suspects.

they are going to be trying to whip up enthusiasm for four more years of a figure-head president. if you are out there and think biden was so bad. why on earth would you think kamala would be antter. she is just as inarticulate but less experienced and more irritating. for all these reasons, at least right now, it seems like maga rising. as america is ready to turn the page on a sad four years. and that's the state of the race. joining us now is kevin mccarthy. former speaker of the house. mr. speaker, i know you have been traveling around, helping candidates. i am concerned tonight and this is written about by politico. almost seemed like wishful thinking by them, that 40,000 ballots were mailed out in counties in north carolina alone affected by the hurricane, only 1,000 have thus far been

returned. and politico is saying this could change the race. they are overwhelmingly red counties. do you think the biden-harris administration is going to be working hard to ensure that those votes are cast and counted? >> well, i doubt that because they are not even hard at work making sure those people are still alive get resources to them. they don't even have electricity. they don't have the ability -- if it wasn't for elon musk, they wouldn't be able to know what is going on right now. i talked to many of them along the way. that was an excellent presentation that you just gave with a lot of great facts, if i could add one more. gallup poll just came back last week. it's an interesting one. it doesn't ask who you are going to vote for. it asks who do you identify with? republican or democrat? and for the first time republicans won by more than 3 points, 48%, 45%. a direct correlation to where you see the disparity between those two when democrats win the presidency. they asked another question: who is best to solve the

problems in the future? republicans, again. i will tell you president trump is rising. he is rising for a number of reasons. if you watch harris, think of this point. joe biden has given more press conferences since kamala harris has been the nominee for president than kamala harris. how embarrassing is that as you go forward. they have a chance right now to show what type of leadership they have, and they have been missing in action for an entire week while americans have died. americans in a time of need. if there is anything she should have done, she should have been there for these people and make sure fema and the others are there to help. >> laura: we have been documenting that since monday night. i got a lot of blow back saying you are politicizing it. no, i was hearing from people who went to school with me who were there. so that's what i was hearing. these these are not political people. i don't think they like trump by the way. going back to the voting issue. this is very important. obviously the loss of life,

could be the worst hurricane we have ever had in this country. but those votes, those 40,000 votes, there has to be court action to ensure that those people who are mostly republican voters get their votes counted. mr. speaker. >> why this is so important, 20,000 votes determined who won wisconsin. and if president trump doesn't win north carolina, he can't win the presidency. >> laura: right. >> why aren't we ensuring. are the ballots still there. make sure they are still able to mail them in? this really comes down to three major states, pennsylvania, georgia and north carolina. and you look at the tragedy that happened in north carolina and georgia, we need to make sure that they have the ability to vote and that the votes are counted and those votes are protected. >> laura: yeah. the democrats would be doing that if these were democrat districts, they would be making sure. >> oh, yeah. >> laura: by the way, clarifies was speaking today at one moment -- this happens to the best of us. she lost her teleprompter.

throwing, a pitcher versus and i played softball and fast pitch softball i mean, it's just a power deferential, period, end of story. i want to remind folks what happens when young women go up against this mania. last year a high schooler named pate mcnabb was smashed in the face volleyball hit by a trans athlete. mcnabb said she suffered a serious head and neck injury. that actually ended her season, may. so, you are a lawyer. what can be done to protect these girls? i mean, you are filing this lawsuit but someone is going to get really badly hurt. >> well, yes. this lawsuit is very important. led by icon women. a group of nonpartisan people who care about fairness in women's sports. where is kamala harris in the biden-harris administration issued a title ix regulation that will send the full weight of the federal government to take your funding away if you misgender somebody, quote

unquote misgender someone. here we have women being injured. we have women receiving death threats. we have women having to shower with men and if kamala harris has anything to say about it? no, she doesn't. this is a federal government issue. this is also a charlie baker issue. he is the president of the ncaa. he has received more than 7,000 individualized letters that independent women's forum has facilitated, silence. nothing. >> laura: yeah, of course, they are not going to say anything: your claim that they told your team not to speak about any of this. and their response was the agencies is not accurate. school hepps, promptly method with the entire team and their coaches to inform them they had every right to speak about experiences. their team has never told them they can't speak freely. however the team has been encouraged to respect the privacy of their fellow teammates. brooke, what about your privacy? did you share a room with their trans player by the way not knowing what was going on? >> i did, yes. yes.
