joined on stage by elon musk. and as for vp kamala harris she was in charlotte north carolina on saturday getting an update on hurricane helene recovery effortses, however, she did not visit asheville, north carolina or any of the western part of the state that's been devastated by hurricane helene and during his rally today former president trump said he understands there's a lot of importance on the economy. but he believes the border is the most important thing for voters this election cycle. he says he won on the border back in 2016 and he expects it is going to happen again in 2024. reporting in juneau, wisconsin, bill melugin, fox news. anita: thank you bill melugin nobody knows more about the border than bill melugin. meanwhile vice president harris is hoping her upcoming run on the media circuit will give her some kind of campaign edge. trump said he's ready for whatever comes his way during his emotional return to butler, pennsylvania. listen. >> i will never quit. i will never bend or break i

talking about sex, dating and relationships, it is called call her daddy. molly: call your daddy -- anita: they also talked about abortion so we have a clip of that. let's take a listen. >> when he was president hand selected three members of the united states supreme court with the intention to undue protections of roe v. wade and they did as he intended and there are now 20 states with trump abortion bans. this is the same guy who said that women should be punished for having abortions. this is the same guy who uses the kind of language he does to describe women -- anita: so molly seems like no matter where she goes she does talk about abortion but what about other subjects she needs to address? molly: she's talking about that precisely major issues that was referenced earlier for most voters are the economy -- and the border. abortion is also a big issue for

kamala harris voters. to joe's point she already has those people. anyone who is voting on that topic already knows how they're voting. so it is curious thing it is her strongest issue but she has to answer questions. i think the reason she's not going ton a lot of different podcasts or -- shows or doing interviews, with anyone who might ask her a real question -- is that she's just not a very skilled politician for instance on the call your daddy podcast she spent the last two months saying don't look at her career don't look at her vice presidency don't look at her previous runs for president or senate and look at her legislation that she put her name on she's saying i'm not that person anymore but then goes on an easy podcast saying look at my career and she doesn't separate herself from the biden administration while running for president. anita: polls are tight how about a head-to-head matchup in state of wisconsin where the former president was today. there you go look at that.

loaders in the backhoes there, really with the finishing touches of cleaning up this rocket strike. that rocket came down right in the center of a traffic circle. you can see now all of the dirt that has been churned up remarkable how much they have cleaned up to this point. but let me give you an idea of the power of the blast from that rocket as we look over to this apartment building. you can see all of those puck marks on the wall and the blown out windows. that's from the force of this blast. back around this way and i want to show you careful cleaner coming by there. another apartment building all park mark all of the window are blown out remarkably laundry is still on the wire there. this -- this particular rocket came through at about 11:20 local time. the sirens wailed all over haifa warning incoming rocket and iron dome launching one after the another there was about five or six missiles. but these iron dome interceptors do a remarkable feat of shooting inbound missile out of the air

safety. individuals inspired by online messaging could act alone to commit an attack with little to no warnings. let's bring in lieutenant general keith kellogg former national security advisor to president trump and vice president pence. general, great to have you here, again, to get right to it, sir. it seems as if israel has remembered the instruments of national power as we've seen them in their asymmetric approach to dealing with iran, hezbollah and hamas wild america has not. how would you assess the current progression under israel latest attacks on hezbollah and concerns about american or any escalation in the area? >> yeah. david, thanks for having me it is good to be with you israelis are fighting exceptionally well and fighting multiple direction qhs you dongt know what they're doing and to start with the leadership and benjamin netanyahu for those who may not like him he's become almost how he's fought this fight i think

the israeli citizens understand that. he's basically torn apart hamas and gaza killer senior leadership as well when he was in tehran and pivoted to yemen against houthis taken out key targettings there and pivoted to lebanon and took out the leader there plus the number two and now pivoting towards iran. and what he's done is reestablish the region so he's taken on all four different targets. and done exceptionally well and i think now should look at what israel going to do in the near term. against iran, and i will tell you david, i really believe they've got a doctrine called dahia superescalation means to overescalate compared now not just to target hitting like president biden wants him to do. which is like quid pro quo but they're going to go hard against in all probability against iran that means senior leadership could be at risk as well as

their nuclear sites three big ones you have -- and they can get to all three of them. they proved that they flew 2,000 miles those were close and weapon the weaponry that's needed they've got -- target that they can take it out with weaponry they need and they have a gbu72 that means position weapons that's a bomb that we developed the united states, gave to them, which is 5,000 pounds and it can penetrate of 0 feet of concrete and hit a target after target after target. so i think what they've done is exceptional on deterrence they've actually set up deterrence in the sense with a capability and credibility and national will and they've proven that and i think the region is now taken that into consideration. that's the reason you see the iranians kind of backing off real hard. >> general kellogg, mollie hemingway here i'm wondering if you how you assess the change between the trump administration

and the piece that was -- breaking out throughout the middle east. the -- the situation with the abraham accords and versus the chaos that we're seeing now. how much of this is related to actual biden-harris administration policy? >> well, molly it is huge. look, i'll make really simple. president trump goes to saudi arabia meets the crown prince suleman and gets a sword dance president biden goes to saudi arabia he gets a fist-bump. and kamala harris hasn't been there and hasn't talked to nbs at all only person she's talked to in mideast is muhammad nbz out of the emirates that relationship is broken and relationships are so important in the middle east. you know that and i know that. and if you don't have those established relationships things break down very fast. and the saudis are going to be absolutely critical for some type of reestablishment of something happening good in the middle east. and this administration is ignored it. you know when president biden

called saudi arabia a estate that put us on a downhill path and they can key because they hold the money bags and they're key to the middle east and i think when we establish the abraham accords we're bringing saudis in we can in the next term with a president trump. and i think what you're going to see is some type of stabilization in the middle east a positive stabilization not what you see today. anita: anita vogel here jumping off that point and molly's question how dfnght will u.s. policy be toward israel under a trump administration versus a harris administration? >> well i can tell you you know, look at tonight there's a program on "60 minutes" when she when i'm sorry when vice president harris was asked about benjamin netanyahu and she basically blew him off. she said he's really not a leader of consequence. yes he is. he's a wartime leader and people of israel know that. if you travel in israel, they realize what he's done what he's had to do. he's fighting multiple foes multiple times and doing a

pretty good job with it and israeli people know that. so he's going to be a leader in the middle east that's after he dealt with and worked with. and this administration won't do it. there's a real fracture when it comes to leadership and presidential politics power of personality is so very, very important and i saw that in four years. president trump had that in spades you see this administration doesn't have it at all. they don't have that personal relationship. they'll be able to pull the people together and at least try to come up to some type of a combination. >> general joe concha you mentioned that 60 interview that kamala harris and refused to call benjamin netanyahu an ally she said during a debate with donald trump on abc we have no active military members in war zones. i think the folks that were in the red sea that are droned on a daily basis the fact that we've had los of life of u.s. service members in the red sea and we have thousands of troops still in syria and iraq she qualified general in your opinion to be the commander in chief of the united states?

molly: welcome back to the big weekend show thousands are without power and many are still accounted for as hurricane helene recovery efforts continue across the southeast. fox news national correspondent madison scarpino has the latest from storm torn, north carolina, madison. reporter: molly majority of people helping out on the ground here in western north carolina are volunteers. and there's a massive volunteer effort going on here in banner elk. attack a look around hundreds of thousands of pounds of supplies has been shipped out from right here in this warehouse to the hard hit areas that are really difficult to get to. volunteers here are from all over the country and they're

dropping off everything from food, water, back supplies, but what's really important right now is medicine. when we talk to a volunteer doctor who says that some people in those hard hit areas he's really worried about them and their health. and he says that some people are even refusing to leave. listen. >> unfortunately, when we see so many good people come out and help, but unfortunately there are bad actors, there's a lot of they felts being happening right now. so generators are being stolen so a lot of people are really worried, it's a catch 22 do i leave my house and take care of the health. or, you know, am i going to be robbed? >> that doctor says he's not just worried about these people's physical health but mental health and working on sending in psychologists and psychiatrists for what some of these people are dealing with. molly. molly: thanks madison. meanwhile the white house is shutting down or attempting to shut down claiming that fema was left unprepared for helene

what was said initially by jean-pierre and just the other day in the briefing room but this is what they've done also they're not coordinating effectively with local organizations. at every level rather working with whether providers but there's good news. truckers around this country that i talk to every day have been updating me throughout this. teams have been moving up i-85 in georgia towards carolina early this morning. others are coming in roads are becoming more open. i-40 and others maybe fema should be talking to the people who drive around this country every day to tell them how to get there. molly: absolutely it's been shocking to see what's going on also really inspirational to see how many americans are willing to drop everything to help these people out. david: we help each other but we have a situation with kamala harris we saw her doing a little pouches, putting toothpaste in bags she's very much trying to present herself as the current president also somehow being separated from the biden-harris

administration policies. what do you think she's how do you think she's doing anita in terms of showing she cares about the people of north carolina. do you think doing podcasts like call daddy is at odds with the showing all handle on deck type of situation with this hurricane relief? anita: i think she was in california at a fundraiser when all of this stuff started unfolding i covered hurricane katrina i was on the ground when that hurricane came in in new orleans and you know the aftermath with the levees breaking and flooding. i remember thinking to myself, you know, thinking to myself this is a -- a humanitarian disaster. and i can't believe this is the united states of america. and i'm having those same thoughtings again with this hurricane with what we've seen because it is just unbelievable. and so for her to say, we're going give everyone $750 -- we have all seen what the migrants got they got debit cards, hotel rooms food of their culture and fair to ask those questions. why can't american citizens get that same treatment?

molly: not to mention how she announced a massive aid package to those of lebanon. >> 57 million. >> what the media coverage was leak you might remember that everybody sent cameras down. everyone was waste deep in the water to show the seriousness of the situation. they were interviewing victims. why have we not seen the media have as much interest in the hurricane as they did in katrina which was, you know, this is the second worst hurricane damage in the country after katrina. >> because molly they want kamala harris and tim walz to win it is that simple negative towards them therefore we don't see the coverage that we should be seeing. you're exactly right. this is the worst natural disaster since katrina. it may be worst by the time we get the final death toll because there's still many people missing. not just in places like asheville. but helene, canton, clyde, marshall i had a fan of the show say mention these towns because they're struggling as much as anybody else. here's the bottom line fear is

honest men and this had this crime been committed in trial today, i believe that outcome would have been dramatically different. now, it's interesting to me that this sounds more emotional than legal when it comes sort of plea can they be intelligent and honest they've been in jail for 35 years. recognize the crime, but is that enough? >> right we should remember what happened here. these brothers murdered their parents brutally. they lied about it. they went on shopping sprees and then the police figured it out and they charged them with a crime. during their first trial, which actually was a hung jury. they brought forth a lot of evidence about the sexual abuse they both had received prior to the killing now they were both adults at the time of the killing and they were, you know, they weren't dealing with that quite as much as they had been when they were younger and it led to a hung jury. the second trial they didn't actually allow them to admit a lot of this that resulted in a

long sentence you can say they are brutal murders they murdered their parents understanding that maybe the sentencing too much given this other issue. which sometimes the courts do allow you know if you're abused if you're abused wife and kill your husband you're treated differently than if you do it completely in cold blood. >> anita your thoughts. anita: look, like you said they did commit a heinous crime. but i do think there's some validity to what kim kardashian saying if this were tried it mean a different outcome i think it is a different time and people look at these issues with -- you know, abuse differently and it may have had a different outcome it took two trials to convict them to begin with. david: it took two trials but media played a big role in this. this story any one of us can remember if you were even a teenager -- >> yeah. this was back had the 90s when the trial happened and this was right after the oj trial right so therefore, trial for big deals. right court tv ratings through
