the vice president struggling to answer some of as much as you did. it's a long standing problem and solutions are at hand. and from day one, literally, we have been offering solutions. what i was asking was, was it a mistake to kind of allow that flood to happen in the first place? i think the policies that we have been proposing are about fixing a problem, not promoting a

problem. okay. but the numbers did quadruple after that disaster. kamala sprinting to the gals on the view for a pep talk. but even they couldn't stop harris from turning into a walking gop ad. we have more with vice president when we come back. we're honored and proud to have you at this table. if anything, would you have done something differently than president biden during the past four years? there is not a thing that comes to mind in terms of, and i've been a part of, of, of most of the decisions that have had impact. i think people are exhausted and they're exhausted with the lies. they're exhausted with the selfishness and the cheerleading tour didn't end there. >> had intended there is she

9:04 pm
the right and left saying how could it possibly be anybody whatever vote for that person? if you're thinking that i want your candidate to win. sit down because you're not being helpful now. the vote will be very close so their people want to vote for her and people want to vote for him and that's going to matter and that is a big prophetic statement is in it. it creates new advertising content for your opponents happening in 2020 and got her in the penalty box at the white house as she said she would do an interview and i'm listening to bill who did a nice job i think. had he work in a white house for so long and absorb so little. she couldn't answer basic questions and i would put this on pour with the interviews sarah palin beckoned the 2000. republicans didn't want to admit it at the time but it was bad.
9:05 pm
this was not good for her. if you're tuning for the first time and you know nothing about harris you left the interview still knowing nothing about her. if you know a little bit and wanted to know a little bit more you are left even more sorely disappointed. may be a don't like president trump but you know who he is and what he's done. he has a record and she doesn't doesn't even act like she's been in the white house the last three and a half years the truth is he did a good job pressing or three different times and getting her to answer a question whether it was a mistake changing the trump era policies with a quadruply numbers of illegal immigrants coming to the country. so it's a serious interviewer with a serious interview and she still doesn't answer the question. >> he did his job he didn't to a great job he asked her the questions she should have been asked for months this isn't hard stuff. white prices go up why didn't you do anything about it.
9:06 pm
why do you do nothing on the border she struggled to answer why she is running for president judge she struggling to ask why she's even the nominee. she has all these plans to fix the problem's that she hasn't fixed in four years, okay, find she's not the vice president does president she's the vice president then she goes on the view and says they've agreeing with the everything the presidents done. judge a week ago at the debate she said i'm not joe biden now she says i am joe biden? she flip-flopped him whether she's joe biden now she comes out and says this and that. singh i haven't changed my position i'm just seeking common ground. she's not seeking common ground she's seeking common sense. all that she is or common sense conservative positions on guns and taxes and immigration. she's just come along late to the game rather vote for the gala common sense from the
9:07 pm
beginning than the woman he found common sense right before the election. it was smart that trump didn't do 60 minutes if he did everybody would adjust contrasted his interview with hers and his would've been explosive and confrontational now everybody is just talking about her failure on cbs news and that is a position she doesn't want to be in she was pressed on all over changing positions whether it's fracking and immigration, medicare and she said people know me and know who i am. tim walz said people know me and they know who i am. does anybody know who either them or? >> it up to get back with you on that but the "60 minutes" interview. i wish trump had done the interview it would've served him i think well the standpoint of people understanding what he wants to do the next four years and allow for the contrast you mention. i think the reason candidates
9:08 pm
she does have to do debate -- three debates going to economic security and inflation and when to talking but their attitudes towards regulation and the court someone because gives voters a sense with the mandate might be them what they want to do and how they go about working with congress and explaining things to the public. unfortunately we haven't been afforded that. nobody can take my country with me because they'll ask somebody don't like and people are that shell we work for the next election. you try to make things better. finally what i don't understand is the vice president in these interviews you need to use these opportunities to demonstrate not only that you understand her people are in their lives and how you meet them and take them to higher ground you talk about your ideas. when to be great if you talked about in some people don't like when i say this but they say terrace make things more expensive in philadelphia and

it is hard to listen to is somebody who listened to them. there is a lot to unpack here i just coined that phrase. we saw the word salad on israel all over the place. they removed it from the show. it's kind of an obvious breach of ethics i would assume. did they think nobody would notice this. it's pointless to delete an email after you sent it but what has she been doing the past four years. it could be argued she's declined more than joe she didn't learn on the job she unlearned on the job but i'm getting a sense were being played that this media onslaught is like giving a toy to a group of children so the adults get down to business. it will keep us entertained but that can't be by accident i don't think the democrat apparatuses thing i'm worried
9:11 pm
about what the five will say about 60 minutes. effect were talking about that instead of other things is a win for them right i'm wondering. do they not care about how she bad she is they don't care because they're not worried. i think the machine is at work getting everything in place for a repeat of 2020 and placating us in keeping us busy i go back to the "time" magazine article the secret cabal of media business and government interests aligning to change voter laws and raise millions to recruit democratic poll workers and sensor information. i don't want to miss that again i get the feeling i want to see in february 2025 apiece that says how we did it again. how we managed to rig all the systems for a win while these losers were focused on how stupid and brain-dead our candidate was. jokes on them.
9:12 pm

a rare glimpse as first lady and much more. it's all in their brand-new self-titled memoir called "melania" which you can get a copy of. melania trump joins us now to talk about it. i read this entire thing cover to cover last night. you tell the people about writing in the limousine with michelle obama on inauguration day. you talk about some of your battles with the press. love is something you put in this book that you have been wanting to get off your chest for all of these years? >> everything. i think it is a lot of misinformation out there about me. that is why i think it is that time that people hear from me. and my story, my perspective, and the truth. >> we are about the truth on this show. judge jeanine, you have been very excited about this interview today. >> i have so many questions, but
9:18 pm
i will start with one that is clearly serious. the former president has survived two assassination attempts. kamala's camp has issued yesterday that they are going to go more negative the "60 minutes" continues with the negative rhetoric with whether it is "hitler" or tearing down democracy. are you worried about your husband's safety in the next 29 days? >> of course, i do. when they call him a threat to democracy, less ask ourselves, who is really a threat to democracy? they ongoing with law fair against the former president. as well as trying to get him off the voting ballot. and trying to silence him. yes, of course.
9:19 pm
i was always afraid of what could happen. continuing with that kind of language, it is toxic, a toxic atmosphere. >> harold ford jr., do you have a question for the first lady? >> great to see you. we are so glad that you are here. when you think about some of the positive things that you experienced in the white house when you and president trump where they are, what were some of the things that made you joyful about policy and the things that he did? >> he did not. he he took care of the military. i really loved visiting them. actually all around the world even when i went to iraq for christmas. when i went to walter reed and visiting the soldiers, wounded soldiers, and also when i visited the aircraft in the middle of the ocean. so very exciting and all the people that i met over 4 years,
9:20 pm
really, really special. they stay with you. sometimes you still remember them. it is always something that i am looking forward to it. >> she went to iraq and had a black eye. i'm glad that didn't happen to you. >> i am the only one that got hurt, but i recovered. in the book, you do talk about the power of the office of the first lady to do good. i think from afar, what i witnessed was that you seemed very joyful when you are certainly around the military but also when you are around children. i remember early on, you went and read to children. it was a special moment. i'm wondering if former president's speech in wins again, i know that foster care is an issue that you care about and it is a system that is broken. there's a lot of organizations that help. a push from the white house
9:21 pm
could really help. is there an issue like that or anything else that you kind of wish that you had another chance to work on? >> i will bring my experiences back. what i learned in the 4 years. as well, i would continue my best initiative for children for women, and also, i will continue with fostering the future initiatives that i established after i left the white house in 2021. i have 2 platforms. that support scholarships for fostering children and fostering community. i have many students now. i will continue with that. we need to give back to those children and support them. once they have education, they have a great job. after that, they could give back to communities.
9:22 pm
>> greg gutfeld. >> i love the cover. like you, i was a model. [laughter] is some magazines you probably never heard of. they are out of business now. do you ever stop and think about your life and wonder, how did you get here? you came to the united states united states in '96 and arrived at jfk. and you end up in the white house. obviously, you didn't expect it. does it ever kind of -- have these moments where how did i get here ship
9:25 pm
it was fun. can i ask another question? there are a lot of women who are on the fence. not a lot, a few. but what you say to them regarding why donald trump should be president? >> we could see in the 4 years he was there, that country was in great shape. the country was safe. the country was prosperous. he will bring that back. >> when you are hopefully first lady again, will you continue with that be best initiative? i know that was near and dear to your heart in those 4 years. >> i will do that. we need to see what will happen in a few months and what next year will bring new issues will come. you need to tackle those issues. >> one of them is what we have seen -- there is an increase in crime against women. that has been happening. all the stories that we talk
9:26 pm
about when you have illegal migrant crime, and is not just women, but there is a particular attack against women that is happening. that just came to me. i didn't plan on asking you about that. you don't know what the issues are going to be. north carolina has to be rebuilt. tennessee has to be rebuilt. there are so many things. >> florida, a big hurricane in florida. i'm glad that many people moved in leaving and moved away. so they will be safe. >> how is maren doing? >> he is doing great. he loves his classes and professors. he is driving and enjoying to be in new york city again. >> is there something you would want people to know about your husband that they probably don't know that they should know? that's pretty good. >> i have some stories. you read it in the book.

9:33 pm
disparities. she used a hurricane to promote equity not equality. >> do you think governor desantis doesn't have more important things to do than to talk about politics at this moment? >> her words were political in his were honest. you could tell they were absolutely honest. he said that without thinking. he went, are you crazy? it's a contrast between a highly competent person and an ambivalent democrat who only does what is required and only shows up when she has to. you are going to listen to the no-nonsense competent responsible direct serious person. none of those attributes are present with kamala. her answers are the opposite of direct. she can only maintain a serious straight face for maybe 5 minutes before breaking down into a crazed cackle. also, there is absolutely no sign of jargon or platitudes in his language. he doesn't have time for that. that is all she is is jargon and
9:34 pm
platitudes. that replaces the substance that she is too lazy to actually build on. she is skilled at saying nothing. he is skilled at doing stuff. >> i never think this way. biden does a press conference in the middle of her appearance on "the view." i am good. the governor and i talk. everything is great. she is saying something different. >> last week, he big footed her about taking credit for the strike. he has laid low for quite some time. he is off every other day. now he is everywhere right when she happens to be in the news. the pressure is getting to her. she is snubbing world leaders and bombing interviews. the first hurricane, she was caught at a fund-raiser for the second hurricane, she is playing politics. her stature is shrinking as we get closer and closer. nbc news comes out with this fake story about her calling desantis and having him let it
9:35 pm
go to voice mail. she played along with it. she didn't call desantis, because desantis said i never heard from her. maybe she has the wrong number. biden said i'm in touch with desantis. he is good. he hasn't complained. she looked totally out of the picture. this is not the way you want to run through the tape. that is a sports metaphor. >> thank you so much. i thought it was about bureaucracy. >> i disagree with you guys on this one. i think governor desantis -- who i think is a serious guy and is handled these storms will over the last several times. and obviously, this storm we are praying for him and people across the state to follow and heat all the direction and guidance that have been given. i think when foreign leaders come to the country during a political season, they will see the president of the united states and the person running for president. i don't think it is strange for
9:36 pm
the vice president and the democratic nominee to want to have a conversation with governor desantis. both of them politicize that. that was unnecessary. we really do a disservice to the people we have to serve and they have to serve. i wonder if president trump was able to get a conversation. i hope he was able to. >> desantis said he did. >> why wouldn't he have had a conversation -- >> this is a political season. mr. netanyahu came to the united states, he spoke before the congress. he saw the president and went to see former president trump -- which i think was the appropriate thing to do. where i won't bend is when people's lives are state, adults are a deck elected -- >> she could have said, i'm sure he's very busy and doing a really good job.
