>> steve: we have a quick fox weather allottery for you. today all power is expected to be restored to more than 180,000 houses and businesses still in the dark in the state of florida. damage from hurricane milton leading to the indefinite closure of the state's national seaside. look at that right there. meanwhile, 12,000 north carolinians are still without power, more than two weeks after hurricane helene made landfall. right now, let's check here in studio m. with senior meteorologist janice dean for fox weather "foxcast." and your power outage tracker. >> janice: yeah, absolutely. we are still concerned with the fofolks in north carolina. because the temperatures are going to be at record levels. record cold. so, daytime highs in the 50's, that's actually, you know, very cold for this time of year. for places like north carolina and tennessee if you are dealing with no power. with temperatures dipping below the freezing mark and even snow in the higher elevations. so, that's my biggest concern.

arrested a total of 50 times. you know. and we have a mixed match of crimes embedded in those. we have anywhere from new hampshires to what i call wolf pack robberies where anywhere between five and 15 individuals surround tourists take their property. we have gunpoint robberies, knife point robberies, and these individuals are out. and it's concerning. >> ainsley: you know where they are and you know where they are staying and you put them and process them and they are out. do they get a court date? >> they do get court dates but they are afforded the opportunity to participate in programs. things like that. and, like i said, it empowers them. what does that do? it certainly creates an atmosphere of empowerment. >> brian: you are chief of detectives. so when your men and women come back, the frustration. if i'm frustrated and people at home are frustrated. how do they feel he? they're putting their lives on the line with these clowns and get back out. what do you say to them? >> it's tough. we are labeled the greatest detectives in the world for good reason. they come back with that

frustration. what do we do? we regroup and build even better cases. we he have taken down that work successfully. these juveniles are tremendous, tremendous challenge and we will take them down again. >> brian: i don't want to get you into politics but city council pushes for these no cash bail and all this criminal reform, and now we have to live with it. what is that like for you? >> i mean, it is frustrating. you know, it's certainly frustrating. but, once again from, our standpoint, the best we can do is just build the best possible cases we can and take them down. >> brian: people say no big deal belligerent teens with nothing to do what do you say to them. >> i say it is big deal. we have perfect storm where we have individuals in and around times square. this is our gem. this is the best the world has to offer. you know, and they are brazen. they are ruthless, and that's concerning. >> used to be a mess when i was growing up. told not to go there worked so hard to clean it up.

as it turns out, it's an extension cord that talks to your car. >> exactly, it's like plugsing into another computer. that's the problem with this. good morning, steve, we are talking about data coming through earlier this year a hacking conference happened and some hackers that were pretty clever, e enjoyed showing off hw they got into ev chargers posing a threat to personal data. they pointed out some major security flaws in these chargers that can allow hackers to steal sensitive data from users that pull up to use them creating risk for personal financial information. showed how they can go a step further and disrupt power grids in worst case scenario where compromised ev chargers could be exploited to overload power grids creating widespread outage which is mind boggling if you think about it. answer to this is why are we not watching this and really
