georgia holding a rally there tonight. >> bill: tomorrow is a big day in this election and a big day here in the fox news channel. harris interviews the former president 11:00 a.m. eastern time with a women only town hall. bret interviews kamala harris at 6:00 only on fox. team fox coverage aishah hosni. we begin with griff jenkins. >> we are in the homestretch and vice president harris feeling a tightening in the polls is making a number of changes, starting with a clear shift from her risk averse media strategy sitting down, as you mentioned, with our own bret baier in philadelphia for a tough 30-minute or so interview that the campaign says would have happened regardless of the polls. >> better late than never? we have three weeks to this

election and looking forward to talking with bret. we've been on this network over and over again and your viewers deserve to hear from the vice president and our campaign about the vision she has to help bring down costs. >> now today harris is participating in an audio town hall in detroit with charlamagne tha god reaching out to a demographic she is struggling with, young black men coming after she unveiled the opportunity agenda including 1 million, $20,000 loans, mentorship programs and a push to legalize marijuana and not taking their vote for granted. >> black men are no different from anybody else. they expect you have to earn their vote. that's why i'm out here doing the work that i'm doing about talking with folks, listening with folks because i'm running for president of the united states. and it is incumbent on me to earn the support. >> but one thing that hasn't
6:04 am
changed in her media, she still hasn't held a news conference. >> dana: former president trump expected to go after vice president harris on the economy at the rally in georgia tonight where we find aishah hosni already there in atlanta, good morning. >> good morning. a big day here in georgia. early voting, in-person voting started today. the former president has been talking a lot about drilling and lowering energy prices as part of his plan to tackle inflation. last night in pennsylvania he was talking about the other part of the plan which is to try to get china to buy food from our farmers. listen to this. >> i had a great relationship with president xi. and he is a fierce man and he is a man that likes china and i understand that. but we had a deal and he was perfect on that deal, $50 billion he was going to buy. we were doing numbers like you

wound believe for the farmer. the farmers are badly hurt. >> so in georgia trump needs solid voter turnout because the state went for biden in 2020 and also sent two democrats to the senate. he is getting a helping hand from popular governor brian kemp fundraising for him using his ground game machine to get out the vote and also just a couple of minutes ago i was told by former senator leffler's team she has registered over 40,000 new voters, new conservative voters since 2021 and her team is targeting the black, hispanic, asian and young voters and the biggest potential among the hispanic, black men and young voters. in person early voting start evidence today. a big deal here in georgia. monday the secretary of state said voters here can trust the process. they have procedures in place to make sure that people feel secure when they go to cast a ballot.
6:06 am
>> bill: show you the board now on power rankings. this is what has changed. here we go. our forecast right now is kamala harris at 226, trump 219. a week ago we had harris at 226. why is change and reduction of 15 electoral votes? because the state of michigan, we believe right now, is a toss-up. we had it lean democrat for quite a bit. however, this election right now is still as tight as you can get. all the polling suggests and all these toss-up states now in yellow, nevada, arizona, wisconsin, michigan, pennsylvania, north carolina and georgia too close to call. we just do not know. however, in these seven states right here, you will find plus the one electoral vote nebraska two in omaha there are 93 electoral votes on the board. 93 up for grabs as we come to you today. want to bring in debbie ding el.
6:07 am
democrat from michigan. good morning, congresswoman, thank you for your time and show you quinnipiac from three days ago. it shows margin of error is about 3.1 percentage points. so trump is right on the line there at 50/47. what is happening in michigan and why is it considered to be such a close race there? >> well, good morning, bill and dana. always good to be with you and if you can remember months ago i told you michigan was going to be purple right down to election day. several weeks ago, when asked i made it very clear neither candidate has won this state yet. the difference i told you that donald trump would win michigan in 2016. no one believed me. the difference is people understand both campaigns understand they are competitive but i would argue that vice president harris and governor walz are taking it seriously and
6:08 am
understand they have to better define themselves and now where their target audiences are. you see the vice president here today and in michigan saturday -- friday and saturday. governors will be here on a bus tour thursday and friday. she is likely to come back next week. governor will be in saginaw on sunday and president obama is coming on tuesday and so is liz cheney. they're working it. we have a lot of hard work to do. it will be who turns out the votes and we'll work to do what we have to do to win the state. >> dana: what's the best mechanism in your mind for them to do that? there is a lot of paid advertising and visits. is it ground game, paid advertising, is it turnout on actual election day, early voting? from your perspective if you were them what would you focus on and who? is there a constituency that could make the difference for either trump or harris in michigan? >> it can make a difference.
6:09 am
they have to be focused on and talked to between now and election day. the first constituency is -- [inaudible] you have to -- i don't think people know kamala harris yet. i do. i know how great she is. they need to feel her. we know who donald trump is. i won't use any words like some would like to. but he is who he is. passionate and says what he thinks and people know him. they want to know that they know her. i think she is trying to do that. she is doing more media interviews and different places. and they just need -- i wish they would just let her go into the union hall, quite frankly. you've seen a lot of discussion on identifying this a couple of months ago is young black men who -- it is not her problem. it's democrats' problems. i said it. it's the way we didn't talk about trade in 2/16 in the right way. they feel taken for granted and
6:10 am
want to be talked to directly. today's -- what she is doing in detroit today is taking that on directly and a lot of other people are trying to go in. democrats have to be there the day after election day, too. mideast is very complicated here. >> bill: the demographics in michigan are fascinating whether the union vote or arab americans. >> dana: jewish americans. >> bill: here is james carville. she is doing a lot of interviews and it hasn't been the case. she went into a cocoon after the convention in chicago. he said i'm not a fan of doing interviews with different people. the problem with the interview is you have to answer questions that the interviewer asks you. that's the point of the exercise, is it not? james is welcome to come on here and explain that. what's up with that, huh? >> what's up with it? i think she is doing what she
6:11 am
should do. she should answer those questions and i'm glad to see her do it and i'm glad she is doing fox tomorrow. i think she has to go everywhere. i've done you all for years. i think it's important. i watch you because i want to know what people are thinking and i want to talk and get the perspective. so i think you should have to answer the question anybody wants to ask you. >> dana: i have a question. one of the questions she did not answer well by all accounts when she was asked a couple of times last week what would separate you, what is different that you would do that biden did? how would you define yourself differently? and people want change and she kind of was protective of biden, maybe didn't want to hurt his feelings or didn't know how to answer that. how would you answer that? >> i think she is in a very difficult position because she was his vice president. and you know i'm still -- i think loyalty does matter but we have to address the economy.
6:12 am
she has to take that on. she has to talk about what she is going to do. i think she has to talk about how she is going to protect jobs and bring manufacturing back and lower the cost of food in the grocery store and she has to be very clear on having what she is going to do. hopefully she will be doing that in the next few days as well. >> bill: the problem is the comeback always is why haven't you done it already? that's for the interviewers. >> there is a republican congress that blocks things, my friends. >> bill: that could be an answer she hasn't used yet. thank you for come back and let's talk in a week or so and see where we are. thank you. we mentioned this a moment ago. big day tomorrow at 11:00 a.m. eastern time. harris sits down with president trump recorded later today in georgia and play it for you at 6:00 bret is with kamala harris. you can catch it here on the fox news channel. >> dana: big day.

two survivors of the assassination attempt in butler, pennsylvania are blaming the secret service for the shooting. both men say the agency was negligent before shots rang out. >> i was more mad about it than anything. i mean, i was in the service, went through a war and didn't get a scratch and then you go to a rally and you get shot in the crowd. >> did the secret service fail former president trump and fail you that day? >> yes, big time. >> it was a rush job, you know? there was put together too quickly and they skipped steps. >> dana: meantime the wife of corey comperatore who was shot and killed by the alleged trump shooter also says she is angry at law enforcement claiming the multiple security failures led to his death. secret service says they take full responsibility for the shooting. i don't know what happens from there. >> bill: interesting to hear those guys talk about how they knew they were shot, a and b to come back and talk about being in a rush job.

unfortunately in hindsight they were right. okay, that's that. this from north carolina now, check it out. >> i lost two cousins over here. i lost my mother and my father. my aunt and uncle, my great aunt and uncle. and just right here on this stretch. >> bill: can't get that back. reeling in grief. hurricane helene leaving mountain communities in north carolina for a long road to recovery in so many ways. >> dana: we'll be with them indeed. taking targets off the table. a new leak reportedly revealing that israeli prime minister benjamin netanyahu told president biden. >> bill: a report on sex trafficking along migrant gangs flourishing under this administration. we'll talk to a reporter who wrote all about this investigative piece. >> this just can't be open border. it is not possible.

she joins me now. you're going to tell people about it in the moment. i want to show the statistics really quickly. this is the number of children who have been issued letters of eligibility to children who have escaped from their handlers. as you see the numbers in 2017 it was 506 euros bounces around a little from there. from 2021 and 2022 and 2023, you have over 2,000 of these. these are just the people who escaped. tell us about what you went to find and what was your conclusion? >> absolutely. thank you so much for having me. i travel down to dallas and shout out a private investigator for the shepherd's watch foundation. they worked to bring down sex trafficking rings all across the country. totally inundated. shepherd's watch comes in and private investigators who work
6:25 am
there to help local law enforcement bring down some of these rings using what struck me the most is just how easy it is to order a migrant girl or woman off a platform. we are not talking the dark red. we are talking regular websites that are specifically men for solicitation. i spoke to a private investigator who told me in three months of biden opening the border in 2021, the ads for migrant women and girls shot up to 90%. 90% of the ads she was seeing across texas where for migrant women and girls. this is clearly a problem that has shot up as you showed in your graph. the federal government to get those numbers -- which again showed that since biden has been in office, the number of child eligibility letters given not
6:26 am
have tripled. >> how many do you think are being held? you said it is not just women and girls. that's the majority. there are men and boys who are included. >> that is correct. it is impossible to say how many of these children, young women and boys are still being held by their traffickers. it's a big problem we are seeing all throughout the country. especially with venezuelan gang known for human trafficking. this is also an issue with males. it's something i didn't know. i think most people know there is a shelter down in texas. the only shelter for males in the u.s. who have been traffic. take care -- they have some migrant residents who have been traffic. they are finding that the difference between the males in the females who are being traffic is that males are >> there have been reports where
6:27 am
fingernails have been pulled out and things poured on open wounds to keep them in line. my job was on the floor so this is not something that just happens to women and girls. >> dana: madeleine, this is a lot to take in. in the piece i just want to give you one last chance to talk about this one specific story. the proverb at investigate force takes you to a hotel and you make high contact with one of the girls. >> we worked with one of sheep herds watch intelligence contractors who contacted a woman. hard to say how old they are. the gangs and traffickers use counter intelligence techniques. placing emojis over their face to conceal their age. he was speaking with one of the girls at a motel six in plano
6:28 am
and we drove there and saw the girl, opened the door and directly after the girl opened the door at the motel, and saw that nobody was there, a man, perhaps her pimp or trafficker most likely according to the private investigator, opened the window and looked around the parking lot. right after that happened we went to a motel 62 miles away and did something similar. when people say that this is happening in your backyard, it truly is. it is not something i realized until i saw what i saw in dallas. >> dana: one quick question. this is not just happening in texas. this is across the country. >> that's correct. it is also another very important point. something that these traffickers do is they travel with these girls and women all throughout the country. for example, the first girl that we saw who opened the door, her profile on the website said that
6:29 am
she lived in philadelphia and she was in texas for a good time. so these traffickers move the girls and women throughout the country and this is not something that is just happening in texas, it's happening all throughout the u.s. >> dana: you are a brave girl and happy to know you and stay in touch. a really important topic. we have to get better at making these people safe and making it -- prosecuting the people who are doing it. thank you so much. >> absolutely. >> bill: so many polls show the economy is the top issue. what does that mean for election day? trump is up nine on that issue. rnc chair michael whatley moments away. v.p. kamala harris was california's top cop a decade ago. now a measure on that state's ballot could erase her criminal justice reforms. >> you were a prosecutor. >> i have put a lot of people in jail.

>> bill: the vp kamala harris now keeping quiet as california voters voice concerns about crime. she has not weighed in yet on a tough on crime ballot measure that's opposed by the democratic governor newsom. that proposition has overwhelming voter support and she is staying out of the race for l.a. d.a. she backed george gascon in 2020. he has been a progressive in office. william la jeunesse runs it down for us in l.a. today. good morning. >> good morning. this is relevant because harris portrays herself as the tough on crime crusader prosecutor ought out to protect the public. polls show voters stand where she has not. crime is on the ballot in california. where the vice president will choose between the new kamala harris. >> i have put a lot of people in jail. >> and the old. >> we have to bifurcate our
6:36 am
approach to crime and distinguish between the low-level offender and the serious or violent offender. >> harris oversaw measures reducing felonies to misdemeanor and help some releasing thousands of inmates on early parole. >> we can't have a one size fits all for crime. >> we've seen the largest erosion of victims rights and public safety in this state. >> bill: many voters want to roll back the reforms harris supported. prop 36 increases penalties, returns many misdemeanor to felonies and mandates prison for many drug offenders. >> we have to give judges the tools they need to mandate that people get treatment. >> bill: also on the ballot lada george gascon who harris endorsed in 2020 calling him quote a proven leader who gives people convicted of non-violent offenses greater opportunities.
6:37 am
gascon is down 30 to a former assistant u.s. attorney nathan hawkman. >> he has lost the trust of law enforcement, his own prosecutors, victims and public. i will restore that trust. >> as a california resident, la voter harris got her ballot in the mail last week when we asked her campaign for her position on 36 and da gascon. no response. >> bill: i'm sure there will be a follow-up from you. nice to see you in los angeles. >> the ambitions, aspirations, the incredible work ethic that exists in our community. my plan is to build what i call an opportunity economy, which means giving people an opportunity to actually achieve those ambitions. >> dana: vice president kamala harris courting black men with a new economic plan. it comes as her campaign is trying to win back voters in this key demographic.
6:38 am
recent polls show harris losing ground with president trump closing the gap. joining us now is rnc chair michael whatley. biden was losing a significant chunk of black men as well. this is not necessarily because she is a woman. this is about policy and to that end this is one of the things she has tried to do, putting out this opportunity agenda for black men talking about a million loans that are fully for forgiveable up to $20,000. a regulatory framework on crypto and a national health equity initiative and finally legalizing recreational marijuana and creating opportunities for black americans to succeed in this new industry. do you think it will be helpful to her? is it too little too late and is some of that legal? >> well look, what i would say is kamala harris's campaign is in complete freefall. she has for the last four years
6:39 am
as vice president cast the tiebreaking votes on $2.5 trillion worth of inflationary spending. president obama's own economic advisors said you will send prices through the roof. gasoline prices 50% higher, grocery prices 25% higher, housing prices 25% higher. this is why we're seeing black voters, hispanic voters, asian american voters leaving the democratic party in droves because this economy is not working for them. kamala harris has said she will double down on every single bit of what she has done over the last four years. she would change nothing from joe biden's tenure. she also introduced higher taxes that she is going to bring into play and let the trump tax cuts expire and she is also going to put unrealized gains tax in place. so what she is going to do is hurt those people she is trying to campaign to and they see through this right now. >> bill: i think part of the premise from dana's question is
6:40 am
that every election cycle when we see polling go out there and come back, what we find is that the demographics that might be trailing come home. and i don't know if you've seen that just yet and maybe that happens. just put up number three. "wall street journal" economy, trump leads by ten points in the survey 50 to 40%. another thing we found here. harris leads among those who plan to vote before election day by 17 points. he leads on those who vote -- plan to vote on election day by 21 points. we were talking during the commercial break. i know you feel optimistic right now. instead of asking you that question, maybe we need to find out what worries you. when you travel and you see things yourself, what concerns you about not getting to your number? >> well look, i think that when you look at the seven battleground states that we're talking about all year long, right? virginia, north carolina, we're talking about georgia, arizona,
6:41 am
nevada, pennsylvania, wisconsin, michigan. we're now showing durable leads in every one of those battleground states. so we feel like we're playing offense right now. kamala harris is absolutely playing defense. all of those leads are very narrow. we know that these are narrow leads. we know it will be a very tight election cycle. but donald trump is extremely disciplined. he is actually hitting his marks at every single one of thieves events. he is doing two, three, four events a day. kamala harris now is still trying to get her footing. they are still trying to decide are we going to double down on the failed economic policies or are we going to walk away from them and get accused of flip-flopping? it is a tough place for them to be. right now their media plan is not working and losing in the issue polls. it feels like this is starting to get into line where we would like to be three weeks out. >> dana: michael whatley. generous with your time.

the shorthand version of what each party is doing in these states and why. >> well, so much of the last few election cycles, particularly the presidential election cycles, have been mired in legal controversies that i think they're trying to gear up ahead of time. the problem, bill, is that the timeline between election day and when you have to certify electoral votes is so tight that the common thing that gets alleged after an election, which is fraud, is as a practical matter there is really no way to do a competent broad investigation in that tight time frame. so the real legal work in an election and the lead-up to an election has to be done in the years before and they are trying to get geared up to do like, you know, real battlefield election litigation in this tight time frame after ward. we'll have to see how it works

-- when they started this business about how i think it was october 14th if i'm remembering right that the "new york post" broke the hunter laptop story. by that point the bureau had had the laptop for ten months. it was very easily verified that it was actually hunter biden's laptop. they knew and the intelligence community knew that this was not a russian disinformation operation. this was hunter biden's authentic laptop data. and yet what they did was strong arm the social media platforms to suppress information about the laptop story and then the intelligence -- the national security agents, the 51 former agents, which included the top officials from the obama/biden intelligence community, used that story line to write their letter claiming that the laptop story was a russian influence
