production facilities to the united states and that is a win for everybody. >> john a judge good to be with you and we have been and that most of the hour we will bring n the econ panel, really looking forward to this and glad you guys were able to jump into the chair earlier. there is a lot the american voter could have learned by listening to that. with questioning his economic plans, perhaps you learned a little bit more there. steve coach i will go to you first because fox news poll wind you are outspoken as trump economic supporter and one who advises the president. we have been outspoken the tariffs can have. did he make his case to the american voter there? >> whenever trump is talking about the economy, he is talking his home turf. we want this election to be about pocketbook issues, the ashes that americans talk about at the kitchen table. every poll has shown that americans do trust trump on the

economy and kamala harris. >> sandra: and they support tariffs and equal numbers imposing tariffs on products hurts the economy and 39% says help set. 36% in 2% said won't make a difference at all. >> i'm not a big supporter of tariffs because taxes and tariffs has the same thing, tariff is a tax. i believe working with trump in his first term, he used tariffs very effectively as a negotiating tool to get countries to do and the same in a second term. i hope we would have even freer trade under trump and hopefully, trump will get there companies to stop cheating, stealing and engaging in predatory trade practices. by the way, i love this format where trump is relaxed and not -- because that is the trump that people find appealing.
11:02 am
>> sandra: good to have you here, robert. to that point, it seems there is support for them, make honest look at his plan and say this would not be good for the economy. many of them were quoted recently in "the wall street journal." will this be a bigger and thicker issue for them considering most trust trump on the economy question might speak of the street journal has definitely been hitting the farmer president trump and they hit him on trade and deficits and growth. they hit him a couple of weeks ago on john deere. my view is similar to steve's. i'm not eight tariff guy and i'm not a tariff even when president obama used tariffs. but i learned to be a tariff guy when a blunt interest meant. obama used it against tires, steel, solar panels and trump used it for steel and biden is using it against dv. is b has had as a block object

code to it make sense. they were is where president trump is going down the wrong path, he is using it across the board and a business does not support that. >> sandra: to steve's point, is that a negotiation tactic? they don't think negotiation thing because tariff is the best tool. it is not, it is a tax on the consumer and an awful tool and "the wall street journal" keeps highlighting it. >> be clear, biden has not removed china tariffs in place that came from the trump administration and the five. >> you and i are in agreement for that point instrument make sense. by the way, he is talking -- let's stop making excuses for him. his quote is "across-the-board." but here is the thing, there are a lot of ways we can bring jobs in factories and business back to the united states. tariffs may be one of them, but don't forget trump wants to reduce taxes on business which
11:04 am
makes the united states and more attractive place to invest in any talk about deregulating the economy. he will have 150 executive orders on the day he comes and to get the regulations off at the back of american businesses to make them more competitive. they whole agenda for trump's bring businesses and capital back in the united states and the tax cut, by the way. >> sandra: i will give you a final moment, robert, final growth, sheet, quoting directly, she's got no growth plan whatsoever. we are all about growth here until he has presented that to the american voter by promising to lower taxes and deregulate. final thought. >> final thought, steve, he had a chance. manufacture pre-covid went way down and fact preconstruction went way down and he couldn't pass the infrastructure bill when he talked about it weekly. he had his chance and we did not see the manufacturing industrial america rides. we sell the opposite. i'm glad he's being challenged

on this. >> that is not adequate, robert. my book, the trump economic miracle because it had them under trump and people remember how much better the economy was. stated this is important issue and that trump trade as somehow -- the trump trade, the question are used as if defined thing like tangible thing and it is really not. by the way, if the race was leaning in trump's favor the american market at an all-time high so interesting is imitation to the former president. i digressed such a thank you very much and thank you for jumping in the chair earlier. john, picked me up here just be when i hope steeple signed the book. let's bring in richard fowler fox news contributor, rnc deputy communications director. when we think about the fate don't make way forward, kamala harris was asked "the view" is there anything you

would do differently than biden the last three and a half years? nothing immediately comes to mind. here are the voters view of the biden administration versus the trump administration which policies helped or heard of question biden 2020% help, 45% per per biden here till not much difference for biden and not much difference for trump. minus 20 on the net help for biden and 13 to the positive for trump. with kamala harris wouldn't do it think differently, that means she is tied to that record, richard and people are looking for something different in the top of the issues is the economy. >> there is no question the economy is the top because they are looking at the kitchen table trying to figure out how to make ends meet. the final two years in 2023, we saw a relatively high inflation, which is on the way down. what robert was talking about in the previous segment is what we have also seen in the past three years ago to a boom in manufacturing since joe biden put his hand on the bible
11:07 am
175,000 manufacturing jobs created. what donald trump is proposing and what we saw him proposed the past hour is an idea as tariff loan policy based tariff 100% tariff on all goods. from researchers, donald president put 50% tariff on washing machine's sync only on the tariff and the price of washing machines jumped 12% so the idea donald trump will put 100% tariff on all goods and the cost of inflation now will pale in comparison to inflation under the trump administration based on his own saying periods they went but the game has put high enough tariff they move manufacturing to the united states, which keeps the price low and creates jobs. >> sandra: here is the bottom line more voters are concerned about the economy in this election since 2008 when the great recession. i have a friend back home donald trump hates him personally and no interest in voting for him but she told me,
11:08 am
kathy, if all he does is talk about grocery prices and electricity bills from now until kingdom, even i will have to vote for him. that is the reality people are feeling. richard had an argument but that is the issue but this administration and kamala harris is not shored up the basis that people count on to win the election because the reality americans are feeling on the ground is my life is better for years ago and it is right now. contact, the embodiment what is not working in the country right now. >> john: significant erosion and some of her race groups and then not necessarily a base group. trump has improved his rating by 11 points. we put up a graphic care among black voters, kamala harris is down 20 points compared to where they were in 2020. hispanic voters, she is down ten points from where they were in 2020. and young voters, she is down three points. richard, head is not great she

11:23 am
toss-up so kamala harris at the moment looks like she would have pretty much guaranteed 226 electoral college votes and from 219. a difference of only seven and toss-up of 93. the fact that michigan has moved down to the top subcategory, that is a significant move. >> it is a significant moves in line with trans piercing across the board with blue wall states formally consider blue all states where we seem donald trump over performed before and we have seen some of the struggles of democrats in recent years. the other thing we have there, obviously, we have the data from different senate race is, which i know we will get into which is you look at competitive senate races and we have more to go on in terms of how those candidates are behaving and what they are struggling with. for instance, we have seen them distancing from electrical vehicle mandates in michigan. that type of thing is an indication of how they think
11:24 am
things are going and it is not positive for democrats at the moment. i think kamala harris is struggling to find her way when it comes to an economic message, one that will appeal to the swing voters in the states and the side of the elections in previous years. i think she is struggling with the fact her opposition to fracking in the past and position on energy policies particularly in pennsylvania is a choice to navigate. not every voter believes her when she says, well coach i've changed my position in the convening years. >> john: i would like to see kamala harris in the same form being questioned by the editor in chief or bloomberg, john. very directly and pointedly on a lot of controversial issues. but she won't. because she doesn't do that kind of thing much, john periods be when i spoke to the panelists id kamala harris indelibly hitched her wagon to the biden record because remember what she said "the view."

11:26 am
looked, joe biden has been around washington a heck of a lot longer than i am and i am nw to washington in comparison. if i had to anything that would be different, i think joe is loyal to the people he spent with a long time and i am somebody who demands results. when i look at something like homeland security or secretary mayorkas and you may not have to name by name that i demand results and i will demand results from cabinet under my leadership. it would be a girl boss moment to create distinction and also would not have been a policy break. it would have been a personality break. >> john: by her own admission, nothing came to mind. you talk about the senate, latest fox news power rankings show 51-49 in favor of republicans, a sleeper issue and you mentioned a couple of issues that have come up electric vehicles for example in michigan. some of the states including montana as well tammy baldwin race and sherrod brown race in
