live in a bubble. they have never been responsible for running companies or starting companies or making a payroll week after week. and the highlight of their year is like attends the white house correspondents dinner they really made it. they spend all their time reconfirming and reemphasizing the status quo. then they echo experts without ever stopping to examine whether the experts have actually been right more offer than they have been wrong. we saw this in spades during covid. remember when the experts tony fauci, all of them told us that we needed the shot. we needed the masks? we needed to stay at home. couldn't go to church but could go to the big box stores? it was all a lie. now, trump knows all the experts like alan greenspan, all those people who convinced clinton and bush to welcome china into the wto, he knows them. but trump and many of us warned that doing that with china all those years ago was a huge mistake. that communist china would

eventually overtake the u.s. economy and put our entire geopolitical position in peril as a result. and that is exactly what has happened. our expert class built china. clinton and bush believed china would become freer and more open. but they just became more powerful and more ruthless. and trump saw. this unlike kamala. he doesn't need to consult expert before he makes a statement about trade policy. is he an expert. before becoming president, he spent 40 to 50 years in business dealing with real investment bankers, real private equity firms and real lawyers. and from his lived business experience, he came to common sense conclusions. he understands that america has huge leverage and we must use our leverage to strike the best deals that we can that benefit the most american workers as possible and ultimately that helps protect our national

security as well. and this is why he has credibility. trump calls out the real collusion. the unwritten agreement among the elites that they can just ignore what the people want. because they believe the people are too dumb or too provincial. now, remember, for almost 20 years, polls have shown that voters wanted less immigration, not more. but the uniparty didn't care. but then came trump. and he actually connected with the common man. but that priggish journalist today doesn't get it probably never will. look at poor old bob woodward is he still trying to defend the biden record in his new book. but bob, since when do presidents get good grades for effort? and astounding lack of curiosity on his part, stunning that even mr. watergate hasn't really bothered trying to figure it out why is trump so popular? but the people know. the working class, they know.

more african-americans know. more hispanics are getting it. and increasingly, more young people know as well. they know that the america created by the so-called expert class is falling apart. as a result, their opportunities for a better life are vanishing. joining me now, brian brenberg, co-host of the big money show and ned ryun, founder and ceo of american majority. ned, i thought trump today was just fabulous on this economic forum. kamala wouldn't show up. wasn't charlamagne tha god. she wouldn't show up for this. but he did and that reporter, just the facial expression on his part was like i can't even believe i have to be here. >> the great part about trump is he a fearless. he will go into these hostile environments whether it's the national association of black journalists or today's economic club and bloomberg to have these conversations in front of an

audience that might be hostile with a hostile reporter. and the thing about trump, laura, that he did today is again for some reason everybody seems to think the trade policy sacrosanct gave benefit it building post war europe and japan. he said we are past this stage. this is about manufacturing jobs and american manufacturing. when he brought up tariffs, again, the foreign concept to this bloomberg reporter, what trump is talking about is targeted tariffs as a negotiating tool to level the trade field. so, if they are going to put 10n cars, we will do the same and we will get a point of greater equity with our trade deals. and that's the moral imperative of every national leader, laura, that we have lost sight of. it's the moral imperative of leader put interest of his nation first and last in all things. and that is donald trump's greatest, i think, selling point to the american people. i will add vacate for you are on

dictionary what is a snotty elite approach to journalism? and that's that guy. i don't know who he is, but he came across that way, okay? and trump just looks at him and says when have you ever been right? you have been wrong about everything. i love that. >> yeah. this is kind of the beginning of the end of the so-called expert class on the whole host of fronts. i think the thing that was really interesting to me today, laura, again, kind of a hostile crowd at the beginning. at the end of it was a standing and enthusiastic standing ovation for donald trump. think about it, three years ago people said trump is done. he is gone. is he never coming back. and today an enthusiastic, stand ovation by what we consider the economic elite of america. >> laura: well, kamala was with charlamagne tha god so, she withstood that difficult questioning. all right. now, he asked some tough questions, actually. i'm not trying to be too tough on him.
