tariffs and it's going to stick. other people say i'm going to bring manufacturing back. maybe we do have high tariffs on your stuff, america. why don't we bring them down together. everyone is going to be reconfigured. >> steve: in particular, brian, to your point about tariffs, when a lot of top republicans in congress hear him talk about it, they railed against it for decades. they go, you know what? if he is elected what we will do and go ahead and do what is appropriate. in other words, we might -- republicans might not actually do what he is suggesting. bret baier, this may come up with him tonight, great -- rather, with her. with kamala harris. they are going to sit down about an hour before his program, they are going to talk for about a half an hour. i will say this. this is smart of her campaign to do it because she realizes that fox news channel has got the most viewers. the most independents, the most democrats, the most republicans. and perhaps the most undecideds. and that is what it all comes down to with less than three

she denies, says it's not true that she locked up thousands of black men in san francisco. the truth is she did lock up two -- almost 2,000 people as d.a. of san francisco for marijuana-related offenses. then she talked about reparations. i thought this was huge. she said when it documents reparations. she said i do have clear eyes about the disparity that exists and the context in which they exist. it has to be studied. there is no questions about that. does that mean she is for reparations? >> brian: study in new york and causal. as soon as they see the bill everyone stops studying. >> steve: that's the way you kick the can down the street. >> ainsley: how do we plan she is not planning to do it multi trillion dollars plan. >> brian: got to take her at her word. >> steve: one of the things that bret baier has already said is he going to ask about, he said yesterday that he is going to ask her questions about things that matter to people. obviously, the economy.

the number of illegal crossings and tightened up what needs to happen between ports of entry. >> brian: so much there. that bill that they brought up in 2021 was really about asylum. was a pathway to citizenship. and if you want to talk about what they didn't d. and didn't do, she said up to congress to act. your congress. your democratic senate and house. same people passed inflation plan, inflation reduction act. gun control, all those things you brag about, they didn't pass your immigration reform because no one was close to agreeing on it, and it was a pathway to citizenship where america wasn't there. and when you talked about what flown into individual cities. to play. and why did you reverse 94 executive orders. >> that trump put in place on the border? how could you not say you are

with charlamagne tha god yesterday was because of lagging support with the black community. according to the latest pew poll she at 72% with black americans, which is lower than joe biden and that's why we have heard in the last week or so that so many democrats are so upset with the fact that she is bleeding black support. but there's a new cbs poll that has just come out with u gov and it says that her support is 87% with black voters, with kamala harris, which is the same as joe biden had in 2020. so, once again, this is what we have talked about all along we are within a month away from the election. the polls are tight. they go back and forth every time. is that an outlier? don't know. >> lawrence: so here is a preview of that town hall with harris faulkner. let's watch. >> my son is a georgia bulldog. he was on campus the day laken riley was murdered. terrifying for all those kids, right? i wanted to know like how

quickly in a sanctuary city like they are calling athens georgia, how quickly can you remove those threats to our society so our children can go out on a run as they rightfully should be able to do in a park in the daytime by themselves? >> we can do things in terms of moving people out. we can move them out of the sanctuary cities. we're going to end all sanctuary cities in the united states and we're going to go back to normalcy. and we're going to have law and order. >> brian: so, harris faulkner is going to have this coming up -- she is going to be here at 8:30. her show is going to be all about this town hall coming up at 11:00 and i'm sure there is going to be additional portions she is going to air throughout the week. in terms of what people care about. they care about the economy. 23%. abortion 21%. inflation. character. inflation 5 and the state of democracy 5. last is healthcare which i was shocked at, taxes and crime. this is what i guess the president has got to focus on.

>> ainsley: the president was going to talking about sanctuary cities. clarifies has supported them. promised to decriminalize the illegals that come across our border. she wants to abolishize. she did away with building that wall and remain in mexico. wants to pay for housing and food for illegals. under biden and harris, 8.3 million went across our border. under trump 2.4. >> steve: brian, number 2 on the list that you just went through after the economy number 2 is and it's pretty close is abortion. and donald trump was asked yesterday about the u.s. supreme court and how his -- the justices that he nominated for the supreme court overturned roe v. wade and what he said, essentially was that ultimately -- and the question was why is the government involved in women's basic rights? and he said and we have heard this before, it is right for each and every one of the individual states to decide what happens in that state. >> brian: if you ask for choice for registered voters for women

voters, according to abc, harris gets 53%. trump gets 44%. but that's registered voters. likely voters might be different. but that's pretty close. >> lawrence: when you look at one of the demographics that both parties are going after right now. it's black men. you see the alarm bells going on with the harris campaign. they know it's a problem. that's why she sat down with charlamagne, you have the former president growing support. if you want to understand how black males are going to vote. go to the place they talk policy. we went to barbershop in detroit. here's a little bit of it. >> lawrence: who are you following in this election? >> i'm with trump. >> when trump was in office four years ago, it was a lot better than it is right now. now you have ms. kamala harris, okay. who brings a lot more civility. >> i hear what my brothers are saying and i'm still in between myself. >> yeah? >> she has not proven to me yet that she can uphold this country. i haven't seen enough. >> i think it's a coin flip at
