properly vetted, they told us he was. how does this happen? >> lawrence: final hour of "fox and friends" starpts right now. >> ainsley: it is a huge day here on fox news. at 11:00 a.m., you'll see harris faulkner's exclusive town hall with former president trump focused solely on women, all- all-female audience and key issues. harris faulkner will join "fox and friends" with a preview. >> steve: 6:00 p.m. eastern time, bret baier will talk to vice president kamala harris for her first formal interview with fox. he'll dpif us a preview in two minute presidency. >> brian: election day 20 days away and former president trump heads to seal the deal with latino voters.

>> lawrence: this trip comes one day after trump's rally in atlanta. >> ainsley: alexandria ocasio-cortez alexandria is live with the latest. not changing messaging on the border and polls show that has paid off. we will make america affordable again. over the past four years, her inflation nightmare has cost the typical family $29,000 in inflation. reason you feel poorer is thanks to kamala. >> former president trump will take part in -- sat down in las vegas and focused on border security saying jobs and housing are be ing lost to those in thi country illegally. kamala harris was questioned by

tonight, you'll run the interview in its entirety. why do you think she agreed to come on fox be? to get our audience are undecided viewers, independents? why is she sitting down with you? >> i think a lot about a changing map. we have seen that develop and swing states are tight or trending to the former president. there is outreach for men, maybe nicole nikki haley voters. she's doing an event outside philadelphia with disaffected republicans coming to her side. i think she's trying to reach that audience. i've been talking to the campaign for a long time trying to do an interview, debate, town

hall, this is what they chose. >> lawrence: you do a lot of research and bring up past statements, you are firm, but not hostile. there is a lot to cover with the vice president, with this moment, do you handle this interview differently or is it the same bret baier? >> they have given us 25 to 30 minutes at 5:00. we will tape it live, no editing and we'll turn tape around at 6:00 and run it just as we did it. to get all topics in that time, it is process of throwing on different priorities away as you look at all the questions you
5:07 am
could ask. tough, but fair is what she'll see. >> ainsley: congratulations, first time democratic nominee has sat down for a formal interview on fox news. this election, have you ever seen anything like it? it is so close. for people watching, their vote could be the deciding factor. >> bret: it's been decades. some point in past three or four election cycles, one candidate has gone up five, nine, know even 10, this has not happened and swing states are even tighter. if polls are anywhere near accurate, this is tightest race we have ever seen. another shoe drops that affects some population of voters could
5:08 am
affect one of the swing states. >> brian: i know you were listening to charlamagne the god. he asked her directly about criticism she doesn't veer off talking points. >> what do you say to people who say you stay on talking points? >> i would say you're welcome. here is the thing. i love having conversation, which is why i'm happy to be with you this afternoon. reality is certain things must be repeated to ensure i have everywhere know what i stand for and issues i think are at stake in this election. it requires repetition. until someone has heard the same thing three times, it does not stay with you. >> brian: how will this affect your exchange? >> bret: if that is her take and it will be three times, there
5:09 am
will be redirect and try to get to an answer of the question. way i structure questions is be to point, take politicians off their talking point to il illuminate something they have not revealed before to give insight into their thinking. that is what i'm trying to do, it will be respectful, if you have to redirect, you have to. >> steve: when you ask a hard question, any interviewer and the person starts to filibuster and say wording hoping you will say let me go on to another topic. if it is something important, what is meter in your head? how many seconds will you let this person talk about nothing in particular. >> bret: that is a game-time decision you have to feel it

out. when you ask again and redirect and get three times, the viewer knows the answering is not coming. >> lawrence: three weeks from the election, you have done town h halls and after today talked to both candidates. what is most presing issue? y woo say economy. what is the issue that decides this election >> bret: fascinating question, i have seen things that moved the needle about immigration, some places, states think that is a big issue, almost as big as economy. every election comes down to how people feel safety and security and economically when they do budget on kitchen table. those are bread and butter issue. and we have iven vited former
5:11 am
president trump to do 30 minutes, hope he will take us up on it. >> ainsley: fox chart 246 for harris and 219 for trump and 93s to to-ups, michigan and pennsylvania employs >> bret: i agree with that, they keep ongoing back in pennsylvania. i think michigan has changed, i think outliar is wisconsin, former president has moved up in. that is tied in latest polls. there are toss-ups and michigan moved back from lean dem tos to-up. i think those rust belt states are ones to watch. >> brian: you said lawrence had a good question. i will challenge this be ing bet question. this is toughest thing, i think.
5:12 am
i listened yesterday, she keeps brin bringing the president calling for a blood bath, charlottesville situation and putting kids in cages, all these are inaccurate characterization of what president was saying. as an interviewer, you are not a moderator, when she says something inaccurate, will you feel compelled to correct? >> steve: fact check? >> it is a different thing. you are nod a moderator, you let candidates do their own fact checking. in an interview, it is one-on-one, if you go down the road, it ises not about defending donald trump, it is about defending accuracy of statements. we'll see how it goes, i would probably step in. >> brian: did you like that better than lawrence's question?
5:13 am
did you wauven to talk off air? >> steve: your interview tonight one of two highlights this week. interview with bret baier 6:00 eastern time, sit down for half an hour with current vice president and people will tune in for that. other thing this week is picture of the week and will go down in history of this campaign will be when donald trump goes to mcdonald's because he says he will work the french fryer in a couple days. >> bret: i think he's a mcdonald's connoisseur, he knows his way around. >> steve: he will be great. >> brian: he does not think harris actually worked there. >> bret: we'll see if it is on my list or not. >> ainsley: we'll be watching, so excited for you. >> brian: another promo.
5:14 am
>> lawrence: are you okay with my face. >> ainsley: lawrence is going to another barber shop. >> steve: he's leaving in five minutes. >> ainsley: i know, it is so cute to see you with all these men, i love it. that is where you find out it's00 >> lawrence: i learned to do this show by being in the barber shop growing up. you debate back and forth and one debate is who is going to be president and first time in a long time in modern day history, donald trump has more support with black men than any other republican in history. i went to detroit. >> where are you falling? >> i'm with trump, four years ago, it was a lot better than right now. >> now you have kamala harris
5:15 am
who brings more civility. >> i'm here with my brothers and i'm still in between myself. >> lawrence: yeah? >> she has not proven to me yet that she can uphold this country, i have not seen enough. >> i think it is a coin flip at this time. >> lawrence: we started our series in chicago and went to detroit and today i'm going to atlanta and final barber shop will be in bronx. >> brian: it is different from the diners. >> steve: just guys. >> lawrence: to get pulsz of people, go to the diner, you will get a different demographic in the barber shop. >> brian: could you turn the buzzer off? we want it real. >> lawrence: i couldn't have the guys like, then people would say it is fake.
5:16 am

5:27 am
>> jonathan: yeah, the judge issued two rulings, one on certification of election, they are to certify even if they have concerns about fraud and second they will the not do this hand count. no special training has to be done to count ballots, digital electronic record is sent in and doesn't delay anything. we want belt and suspender approach to thiseck la. that is likely the end of it. >> steve: move up a couple states to commonwealth of virginia. suing virginia because they were trying to reduce voter roles take noncitizen off voter rollinses and they said, no, you can't do this. governor youngkin said they are

they are doing life right, paying their taxes and doing everything they need to do and struggle is mighty and president and i went back and forth about real pricing and reduction of pricing has to look like. it was a conversation. the women and former president did most of the talking, i wanted the country to see their questions. i believe we have another question here that people can get taste of. do we have time? >> ainsley: we can do it. we have time. let's watch it. >> my son is georgia bulldog, on campus day laken riley was murdered. how quickly in sanctuary city like athens georgia, can you remove those threats? >> we can move people out of sanctuary cities. we'll end all sanctuary cities in the united states and go back to normal and have law and

5:43 am
if you commit a crime and been here, go faster. if you are breaking law coming in illegally and commit further crime, you are first on the list. he thinks once you do that, you can break trend of sanctuary city expecting more than efsh else gets because of their status to be stopping point. he said there can be no stopping point for illegals. it was interesting. >> ainsley: yeah, i love women, we all love women. our voices matter and we're voters, too so excited to watch this. >> harris: we are biggest group, most registered and active voters in america. go, girl. >> ainsley: you go, girl. i'm proud of you. white house backtracking turns out afghan national charged with election-day terror plot was not properly vetted. if you might pray with me real quick.

in joining us for off the grid weekend co-host pete hegseth and will cain. pete, you fed this formula, correct? you left jersey for another city. >> yes, but not when i was a young person. when i was 20 years ago i went to new york for a new job and yes, the apartment was expensive but it was worth it. you were in the big city, the action was there and, you know, the excitement. it is different now. remember rent is too high party. now you are paying all of that for a city or place that smells like weed and walking over homeless people and you don't feel safe. especially a young woman. with all the mobility you have why not trade out for a safer place where the rent isn't too high and you can afford things and live in a community that wasn't anonymous. people thought you had to move into a big city because it's how you make it. you don't have to do that in

order to thrive and young people are doing that. encouraging to see. >> brian: does it make sense to you, will? >> i might have a different take and push back on pete here for a moment. i did grow up in a town that would have qualified for one of these young people to have moved for. 30,000 people, sherman, texas. you get a great sense of community. but the reason that everyone moved to a big town throughout i guess through the 1970s, 80s and 90s, one for work, networking to be around other to climb a career with more opportunities. two for social. you need to go out, you had a good time but met a bigger pool of potential spouses. here is my argument, pete. i think this thing changed everything. i think the phone is one of the reasons that people feel comfortable living in a small town. remote work has hung on after the man dem i can but how do they meet their spouse? do you realize 70% of couples meet their husband or wife through this?
