weekend. >> carley: sometimes weather works out. thank you, janice. talk about this, keep this story alive. 254 people confirmed dead from hurricane helene. in north carolina, 92 people still missing across the state. several schools are still closed weeks after the storm made landfall, leading parents and children to plead for return to nor normalcy. marissa, a parent, joins us now. this storm made landfall three weeks ago to the day. what is your lifelike right now and other people in your community so deeply impacted by this storm? >> yeah, our family bounced around, we have family in north carolina and texas and we've gone from place to place since we didn't have water or power for a while. a lot of people in our community are just getting power and water

back. a lot of people in my town andirria were heavily affected, don't have streets to houses anymore or don't have houses anymore. a lot of recovery to do. >> carley: one thing coming up right now, schools were so impacted by this and the school district in your county did not give a time table for when kids can get back to the classroom. how do you think that will impact them? >> at this point, i know they'd like to get back, especially my youngest. it is not insurmountable and i hope they will be able to get back in a couple weeks. the school is dealing with an unprecedented situation. hopefully it won't be more than a month, that is our big hope. >> carley: yeah, more than a month to not have school. your youngest wants to go back, credit to that child. it is about return to normalcy,

like we said. some children were more impacted than yours and losing their homes and belongings, the mental impact must be remarkable. >> yes, definitely. it means a lot for kids their age. it makes them feel like everything is going to be okay, even though something horrible happened. >> carley: i was reading some bus routes need to be redrawn, some buildings in this area are gone and the streets the buildings were on are no longer there there is a major effort to rebuild. what is the mood like in your community right now? >> i think it is pretty amazing. we're relatively new to the area, we moved here last year. the way people came together is special. in asheville and fairview, i can't believe how many people have helped other people with

anything that comes up and it is frustrating to not know when you will get water back or your house will get rebuilt. i'm impressed how people have handled it and proud to be part of this community? >> carley: what does it look like now? this storm made landfall three weeks ago, has clean-up efforts begun to start? >> we left saturday after the storm, we had a hard time getting out. a lot of larger streets look normal at this point. harder hit areas in our town, you can't get there, they are blocking off roads that are not traversable by car. you see mud and debris everywhere. it is slowly getting better. for a certain part of the population, it will take a long time to get back to anything that feels like normal.

how do you think undecided voters feel about that line of questioning and her response? >> i think it is absolutely weak. she is the direct result of our open border and of those deaths and it is devastating to those families, who i have spoken to personally. to lose their daughter, mother and sisters. again, it is a direct result of her open-border policy. other apology is to families of 13 servicemembers who died from her botched afghan withdrawal. she bragged she was the last person in the room. this interview highlighted her failures and fact she doesn't have answers and she is incapable of leading. she does not deserve the promotion she iseck zooing and that was clear last night. >> todd: she has a problem with the chronology to carley's point. individuals came over well before bipartisan bill was

democrats' historical advantage? >> i think he absolutely did and as you pointed out shgs president trump is performing well with hispanic americans who support his plan to lower inflation, who support his plans on the economy and who very impor importantly support his plans for a secure border and mas deportation, those are key issues the president is running on and matter to hispanic voters. u univision vetted every audience member and said they were undecided voters. he changed hearts and minds with individuals who came up to him and said, i will be voting for you. once they heard his response. he will continue to cut into what is traditionally a democratic strong hold and because of his record of success under president trump, my community had historic low

you. her goal coming on fox news was to speak to our viewers who include republicans, democrats and independents. and make the pitch for them to vote for her in the election come november. so do you think that she was successful in doing that? >> i do not. she has done so few interviews in her career, especially during her time as vice president, the american people are curious. they want to see if she can answer questions, articulately. if she is a real person. if she is intelligent. and i don't think she came away from that interview with any poise. at a time when the momentum is clearly on donald trump's side. i have been saying this for a week and a half i didn't know how the election was going to turn out. all the monumen momentum. donald trump is peaking at the right time and kamala harris is tanking at the worst possible
