they don't need our sympathy or kind words, they need leadership who puts security of this country first and they are not getting that from kamala harris. guys, the thing i found bizarre about kamala harris entire interview, 25 be minutes of a person who could not answer a direct question. how many illegal immigrants have come in? did not answer. what are we turning the page on? she talked about donald trump, who has not been in office for 3-1/2 years, kamala harris has been. she did not have the skill to navigate a tough interview and does not know how to explain her record because her record is not possible to explain away to american people. she dipped and dodged questions for 25 minutes, that is not leadership and not contrition and american people would like to see acknowledgement that she screwed up. it is why we have so many

problems. real leadership would be promising a new course and acknowledging why the old course did not work. >> lawrence: senator, stay on immigration, one thing i noticed in that interview, there is a misunderstanding between changing the laws when it comes to immigration reform and border security. it seems like they feel like it is one or the other. i guess my question is, how do you guys highlight that on the campaign trail? you saw in the interview with bret baier, she continued to say, we proposed a bill. that bill had no border security measures there. >> yeah, that's exactly right. go back to the original days of biden-harris administration and 94 executive orders when kamala harris became border czar and had purpose and effect of opening american southern border, ending donald trump's remaybe in mexico policy,

stopping construction of the border wall, that threw open the flood gates. they want to pull a bait and switch. yes, we opened the border for three years, if congress had bailed us out, that was going to make original three years of our open border better. i was there when that bill was negotiated. it wouldn't have secured the border. it would have allowed two million peep toll come into our country everyday and impechl welled catch and release policy put in place. if you have catch and release and have an illegal immigrant come in and float around our country, you will never have real border security. i would like her to acknowledge they came in saying they were going to open the border and undo donald trump's border policy. they did that and predictable consequences ensued. admit it, admit you screwed up

son, the grandson, because it's just too painful and they don't know how it will end. what are some of the stories you've heard that made you say i have to do this for my residents, my community? >> personally i have had a friend, had to check in on him and he had to tie things to trees so they wouldn't float away and in the process of cleaning up. luckily everyone was fine but unfortunately there were a lot of people lost and, you know, as musicians, i feel like this is how we give back. if we can play concerts and, you know, support everyone and raise money, there is nothing better we can do. >> ainsley: i know that we all love you but especially north carolina because parmelee, y'all started in parmelee, right? it's named after a town in north carolina. >> yeah. >> it is. >> ainsley: that's so cool. great. we're proud of you.
