11:00 pm
about peppers as she does the economy. yeah. what's the one? what's the hottest pepper? it's from mexico or something like that. no one knows. ej from niagara falls. do you and joe concha coordinate your ties? awkward. this is a trinity college tie, so no, we did not coordinate it. he did not go to trinity college. anita from port charlotte, florida. my husband says your eyes are blue. i say brown, what say you there, hazel? they're more brown. but let's just go with hazel. i don't want to pick a side. we love men and women. not like that. not like that. i'm watters, and this is my world. hello, everyone. i'm dana perino, along with judge jeanine pirro, jessica tarlov, jesse watters, and greg gutfeld. it's 5:00 in new york
11:01 pm
city. this is the five. vice president kamala harris in the hot seat, finally forced to answer some tough questions. the presidential nominee getting a little riled up with bret baier in her first ever fox news interview. if you're turning the page, you've been in office for three and a half years and donald trump has been running for office, but you've been the person holding the office, madam vice president, you know what i'm talking about. you and i both know what i'm talking. i actually don't if you listen to donald trump, if you watched any of his rallies, he's the one who tends to demean and belittle and diminish the american people. he's the one who talks about an enemy within. within an enemy within. talking about the american people suggesting he would turn the american military on the american people. you said repeatedly that the border was secure when in your mind, did it start
11:02 pm
becoming a crisis? i think we've had a broken immigration system transcending, by the way, donald trump's administration, even before. let's let's all be honest about that. robert preston harris on the elephant in the room, or rather, the one who got pushed out of the room that would be president biden. so you're not joe biden, you're not donald trump. but but nothing comes to mind that you would do differently. let me be very clear. my presidency will not be a continuation of joe biden's presidency. and like every new president that comes in to office, i will bring my life experiences, my professional experiences, and fresh and new ideas. when did you first notice that president biden's mental faculties appeared diminished? joe biden i have watched in from the oval office to the situation room, and he has the judgment and the experiment and the experience to do exactly what he has done in making very important
11:03 pm
decisions on behalf of the american people. joe biden concerns raised that joe biden is not on the ballot. i understand, and donald trump, donald trump, you talked record number of people watched last night, jesse, over 7 million. and that was just on the television. you know what she's really good at what? not taking any responsibility. she's actually excellent at that. if you wanted to watch someone for 25 minutes, not take any responsibility. last night was amazing. she is a typical lawyer who enjoys arguing but doesn't have a point. she said nothing bad happened over the last four years, but nothing good happened either. she never mentioned one accomplishment over the last four years. not chips, not inflation reduction, nothing. and if you're biden, you're watching this interview, you're like, okay, thank you. this was really bad. she did not look presidential to me. i remember even in contentious interviews where, like o'reilly would interview barack obama
11:04 pm
and he was pointing in his face and obama had this charming way where he'd be like, bill, bill, bill, calm down. that's not how things work. and creates this sort of connection with the interviewer. and she doesn't have the ability to do that. she's ice cold. she's unlikable, and her arguments are incoherent. at one point she said, donald trump has to take responsibility for everything that happens in his administration. she goes, but i don't have to take any responsibility for what happens in the biden-harris administration. or she says, the border has always been broken, but it was secure when i was there, except during an election year when trump broke it. you cannot follow it. it's all illogical. she said she never noticed anything bad about joe biden. she's the nominee because biden was bad. if you look at the democrat reaction to this, they don't seem that happy. but i wanted to bring something for jessica,
11:05 pm
a gift for me. these trump has now taken the lead in every single battleground state and is now ahead in the betting markets bigger than he ever has been so far. i will leave you with that, jessica. thank you. well, since you invoked her name, i got to go to our next jessica. i mean, the goal for kamala harris yesterday. what was it? and did she reach it? so the goal was to not satisfy anyone sitting on this panel. partizans people who generally know how they're going to vote have their preferences. if there are any undecideds left. and i'm getting skeptical that there are many of them with 19 days to go, 18 days to go, or whatever. and maybe it's just between kamala and the couch or trump and the couch. i think she did accomplish that goal because those people, if they're voting on immigration, i could guess how they're voting. if they're voting on reproductive freedom, i know how they're voting. and what kamala harris needed to do was to show up, to look tough, to
11:06 pm
not get rattled. i would disagree with my very generous colleague who brought me a gift today about her looking presidential. i think she handled herself really well, and she looked like the prosecutor who has won a lot of elections in the past statewide elections and had a very successful career. i think that she did particularly well in prosecuting the case against donald trump's character. when she discussed the enemy within comments that he made on maria bartiromo's show, and then struggled to clean up or actually just refused to clean up when he was talking to harris in the town hall. and clearly they have messaged, test tested, unstable, unfit, lacks the competency to do the job and the character and that's where she is leading by really sizable proportions. so 7 million people saw her last night. if even a fraction of them were looking to feel confident that she could do the job, i think they would walk away from that, saying that she can okay and judge, what did you make of it all? when i
11:07 pm
watched her right in the beginning, she started pointing at bret. she pointed at him throughout most of the interview, i found that very offensive. i thought that bret did an excellent job of trying to get her to answer the questions. i think she was contentious. i think she made it clear that she has a short fuze, and i think that she filibustered. she was nonresponsive. she was combative, and she was grandstanding. i think that even more important is the fact that her job yesterday in coming on fox was to try to convince people to want to vote for her. there was nothing that she said that would want, would make anyone want to vote for her, because every everything was about not what she's done, but how terrible donald trump is. and those people have already decided that, with all
11:08 pm
due respect, they're not the undecideds. okay? and she wasted an opportunity to convince people of that. and i have two specific points. when she was asked about the transgender, the law that required the government to pay for transgender surgeries, she was spineless. she was weak. we all know what she meant when she said, i'm going to follow the law. and she said, well, it was the law when trump was there. well, first of all, it's not a law. it's a regulation. second of all, none of those surgeries occurred during the trump administration. you know why, kamala? because he fought them and he fought the regulations. but people got hurt. transgender surgery was during kamala and joe biden's administration. now take responsibility, stand up for what you believe and stop being weak. second point to say that donald trump is not fit is laughable when this is a woman
11:09 pm
who told the american people that joe biden was competent. she was the last person in the room and that it was his ineptitude that led to her being the candidate for president of the united states. i mean, she has no credibility as far as i'm concerned. and i thought that she was very weak, and i thought that bret did everything he could to restrain himself from a woman who wasn't interested in conversing. one of the ways to ask that, and this just comes to me, and i'll turn it over to you, greg, for whatever you want to say with your great notes. but she was one of the ways to ask the question of when did you know he was mentally fit? would could have been. did you feel comfortable asking people for their hard earned money to donate to a campaign that when you knew he wasn't capable of serving the next four years and then see how she would answer it? i don't know how she would answer it. no. when bret said, when did you when did you first notice joe biden's mental decline? she said, joe biden
11:10 pm
isn't on the ballot. why is he not on the ballot? right? yeah, because of his mental decline. that's like answering when did you know epstein was a? oh, my fourth trip. let me be very clear. she was a disaster. it was so bad. doug emhoff smashed his nanny cam. she lost her cool because. because she didn't expect the thing that that that none of the reporters have already have done, which is ask follow up questions. she should have seen this coming. stevie wonder should have seen this coming, that brett baer was going to ask follow up questions. she ended up with the look and the tone of a dmv clerk who wants to take her break, but you're waiting for her. and so she's just like, i'm not going to help that person. the best part of this, though, we edited it out. i can't understand this. when she
11:11 pm
said, you know what i'm talking about? and he says, no, i don't. he spoke for america. he did. we have waited three and a half years for somebody to say, no, we don't know what you're talking about. finally it happened. i don't blame her for skipping tonight's al smith's dinner, because, frankly, the catholics might give her last rites. it was that bad. what else do i have? oh, she was unprepared. she has no excuse for that. she's lazy. there's a reason why she's in the witness protection program. because if this were a fight, most people would accuse her of throwing it seriously, how could you be that bad? how could you be? be that bad and then the criticism that baer interrupted her, he did what he could, what was given him. they created the scenario where he had limited time. she showed up late. they they rushed her out of there. she did everything she could to eat up the clock. under those restrictions, he knew that maybe he could get 3 or 4
11:12 pm
answers out of her. he's like, you know what he is? he's like, you know, when you're on the phone with your lawyer and he's he's charging you every 15 minutes, like every 15 minutes. it goes to another higher charge. so he starts asking you about your kids. he starts talking about your plans for the weekend. and you know that part. yeah. they billed everything. everything. so he's like, i need to get to the answer because she is running the clock out. joe must have been home laughing his off high fiving the visiting angels. he probably poured out a bottle of insure for his homie who just got murdered. we got a lot more to come up next. former president trump taking his maga message to hispanic voters. we'll be right back. listed above ten again, down 55. that's my little rock n roll right there. crank it til the speakers blow, i swear. say it. don't be a girl, boy. let's take another shot. dear doctor

get 35% off your first set when you use discount code. fox new. just like a fly is attracted to jam. donald trump taking his maga message to hispanic voters at a univision town hall, promising to tackle high prices and inflation and making clear who's to blame for the border crisis four years ago. you had no inflation. now you have record setting inflation. when they came in, they spent and they also blew my energy policies up. we're going to bring your energy costs down. and with your energy costs everything is going to come down. we're going to also make jobs available. so you can afford literally much easier. we had the greatest economy in the history of our country. the problem we have is we had people coming in under my administration and they were coming in legally. they were
11:18 pm
coming in through a system that we had, which was great. we want workers and we want them to come in, but they have to come in legally. they have to love our country. they have to love you, love our people. the problem with this administration is they've totally lost control. you know, judge, if you hypothetically, if you played the audio of trump, like so, you didn't know where he was speaking four different like town halls, you wouldn't know what audience he is talking to because he's so oblivious to identity politics that he actually he spoke to the hispanic group the same way he spoke to the women's group, the way he would speak to. he didn't sugarcoat anything. i wish the democrats would see that as a plus and not a minus. that is such a brilliant question. thank you. you're so brilliant. yes. you're wonderful. okay, that's enough. now, let me tell you what i think, okay? i think that the reason that we're seeing this transfer of hispanics from the democrat party to the republican party, it reflects a
11:19 pm
bunch of things. i think hispanics are primarily here, most of them because they want jobs. they are demographically a huge christian demographic. okay? they are not into children being introduced to, you know, sexual and gender identity politics through books in school that they say, we want to ban, but we just don't think that they're appropriate and they're not into men beating women in women's sports. okay. so they are conservative. they are religious by nature and the people coming to america, the hispanics are coming to escape some of the gangs and some of the violence. and all of a sudden we're starting to see ms. 13, trend de aragua and other gangs. and in new york city, 95% of the crime or 75% is being committed by illegals. so the legal hispanics are invested in this country, like most ordinary people, and they have assimilated in a way where
11:20 pm
they just want to be successful and they're turning from the dems and they're the working class. now, what's interesting is that the paycheck to paycheck, 39% of hispanics are paycheck to paycheck, 35% of blacks, 33% of whites. that's all the working class. they're impacted by the economy and that's why trump is talking to them about the economy. you know, jessica, i do think that the move of hispanics, from my perspective, is mainly men. but what about the hispanics? what about the female? well, they looked pretty annoyed, actually. did you see that? gray? is that a normal face for most women? yes, actually, that should go in an ad. ladies, i'm talking to you. i'm not running. you're resting. baby face is what i'm after. no annoying face. there was a. we all know what you meant. so there's this great shot of these three latinas sitting in the back row as trump is
11:21 pm
talking, and they're like, this is the worst thing i have ever heard. and the reason that they felt that. so you're a mind reader? yeah. took the words out of my mouth. no, i'm guessing please, if you're watching this, reach out to me and tell me exactly what you were thinking. but i know it wasn't good. so i want to push back on something that trump that trump never speaks to an audience like he knows who's their identity wise, because we know that when he speaks to jewish people, he knows exactly who he's talking to. i would also say that this was one of his better fact free bonanzas. and we showed part of this clip. you like that, danza? wait. can i go back? i don't believe what do you what? when you were saying that he knows what he's talking to, the jewish people when he says if you don't vote for me, this is going to be your fault. that's specifically that specifically says, i know what, but that's specifically about jewish support. but it's a lousy example. jessica. no, it's not. it's a great i just i'm trying
11:22 pm
to make it better. you're not you're actually trying to eat up my time. and i'm going to keep going. i showed up on time. unlike your candidate, we all right? we showed a little bit of his response to a man named jorge velazquez, who has picked strawberries and cut broccoli for his career, and he asked trump, what are you going to do when you deport all these people who do the hard jobs? because we know that these are jobs that americans don't want. and also what will happen to prices. and trump again, had a fact free answer where he just said, i'm going to get prices down. he had no compassion. he had no sympathy. he had no empathy for these people. and the clip that at least in liberal world went viral from all of this was from this 56 year old latino construction worker, ramiro gonzalez. he says, i was a registered republican. now he's not registered anymore that he was disturbed by the events of january 6th and how donald trump didn't care about it all the so what of it? and asked him to if he would apologize for it? and also, why aren't
11:23 pm
the people who worked for you supporting you and donald trump, who can never give a gracious answer in any way, immediately jumps down his throat saying, i don't agree with mike pence. he should have certified the election. he claims 97% of the people who worked for him still still like him. so maybe that number is accurate, but everyone in a top job doesn't. he calls january 6th now a day of love we have moved from. we should move on from january 6th to. this was a day of love and what i found perhaps the most interesting was that he kept saying we to encompass him and the insurrectionists. so now he's on that team. they're not insurrectionists. the tourists, the tourists with zip ties, he says. we and he's now called them hostages, which is a very strange playing the jan six card. okay, i will, but this came from someone who had supported him. this isn't about jessica. tarlov hates donald trump. this is about ramiro . all right. i guess 12
11:24 pm
years of democrat out of 16 of the last 16 years. it's all on trump. jesse. it's been 12 years of a democrat president out of 16, but it's trump. we have to have him come here and pick our crops. right, jessica? they got to pick our crops. is he going to pick crops? they got to pick our crops. they got to break into the country and pick crops for us. jessica. that's your argument, by the way. they're guest workers. they have work permits. most of them, they're seasonal workers. you could do it legally. all right. also great rebranding by trump. they have love. yeah i just think you got to give him credit for that. you guys are just for the attempt. you're going with day of love. yeah. like your summer of love in 2020 when they burned down a city. i just want to know what kamala harris is promising hispanics. because so far, she's promised blacks welfare and weed. she's promised college kids loan bailouts. she's promised women abortion. she's promised white dudes. well, i guess we just get to be called real men. patronizing discount on nannies. sure, she she's promising illegals, free
11:25 pm
sex changes, hotel rooms and the state. she hasn't promised anything to hispanic americans. now, why is that? because they're hard workers and they keep their nose clean. that's right. usually what kamala harris does is she punishes bad behavior. excuse me? yeah, she punishes good behavior and rewards bad behavior. she's like a bad habit. the sooner you get rid of kamala harris, the better your life is going to be. trump is promising the american dream and is not going to redistribute your money to other people based on skin color and victimhood. he's just going to give everybody a fair shake. yeah. you know, dana, go back to what i said before. they've had 12 years of the white house out of 16 and out of the 16, there was a certain kind of break for four years. that was better. yeah. how can they continue? i mean, he has actual solutions for the border. they don't. yeah. they're running out of running out of runway for this argument because biden is starting.
11:26 pm
that's like when brett baer goes, no, actually i don't know what you're talking about. yeah. by the way, they did say that they did run that clip. they did. we have to apologize to the producers right now. thank you. and brett baer did say that. and we ran it. we just missed it. yeah. we're not really paying attention. anyway, the one of the biggest moments of the night was when a woman got up and said her grocery prices are up double, literally double than it was three years ago and they're still going up. so she is embodying what most people say they care about, which is the top issue for latino voters is the economy as it is across the board. i just wanted to add one other thing. we saw these numbers today about voter registration in north carolina. hispanic voter registration has increased by 79,000. in north carolina since 2020, black voter registrations down 2,700%. sorry by 2700. democrats decreased. republicans increased. there are a bunch of unaffiliated as well, but 93 out of the 100 counties have more registered republicans than four years ago. in a state that has many more hispanics than in 2020. well, you guys definitely need
11:27 pm
to win north carolina. so great anecdote. yes, you're welcome. all right. put that in your pipe and smoke it liz warren up next, the democrats favorite talking point on crime just got exposed as a load of bull pucky sweet as she may appear, a cat love is not in jail. it took a long time to realize that i was one of the many guys i speak in the name of the one true god. i miss my mother. she's with you. she's with you now and always. you believe you were sent by god? yes. i feel like
11:28 pm
