of jesse watters primetime i'm kayleigh mcenany. now to a fox news alert. trump holding a rally in the battle ground state of michigan we'll take you there very soon. and on to this fox news alert. yet another as president trump continues to make gains in key battle ground states. this is kamala harris and democrats are in a state of total panic. they are literally knifing each other in the press as her campaign, which is in disarray hobbles to the finish line. all this as politico, politico admits trump won the day because harris ditched dinner. the dinner to witch politico refers is the al smith dinner. it is the one night of every election cycle where candidates can put politics aside and come together for light hearted fun. the night is about raising money for catholic charities but it's also an opportunity for presidential candidates to show that they are the candidate that you want to have a beer with.

a one point lead in national voter registration. that's a massive reversal from the last two elections, when democrats had the lead. and trump is even making gains in blue districts like connecticut's fifth district. i could not believe this when i saw it. look at this. a new emerson poll. kamala is leading trump by one point. biden won this district by 11 points in 2020. they have voted for democrats for the last quarter century. let that sink in. just a one point difference. democrats are already bracing for the worst. reuters reports the harris campaign is shifting strategy as anxiety rises over trump gains and three sources tell nbc the white house and campaign have been in frequent contact how she plans to distance herself from biden while maintaining her overall loyalty to him. she's losing time. we have 18 days.

angry and republicans are unified, confident, even joyful. if you're a democrat, you cannot help but feel anxious. let's bring in senator ted cruz. senator cruz, having worked in press and communications, you can tell a lot by what the headlines say, and the headlines out there tug the harris campaign is ferociously leaking, people on the ground are leaking, talking outright to reporters about their fears. when i talk to them, they say this is a party of bedwetting. this seems like more. your thoughts? >> look, i think the democrats are panicking. i think there's a battle within the white house. i think joe biden and his loyalists recent joe biden being thrown overboard. immediately following the democrat convention there was a burst of support for kamala harris, it was a sugar high. a lot of us said at the time this sugar high is temporary. but i think the issue set strongly favors donald trump and strongly favors

election and both trump and harris have sights set on the battlegrounds. both are in michigan today as you saw, and have been laser focused on pennsylvania for good reason. trump is picking up major steam in the state. in north hampton county, a key region won by joe biden in 2020, lawmakers are saying there's a wait list for trump signs. >> there's a great demand for the top of the ticket candidate, donald trump, that there's even locally here what are called trump stores. we have distributed everything we get. there's a waiting list for people to get trump signs. >> kayleigh: things are looking more bleak for kamala. politico reports top democrats in pennsylvania are worried vice president kamala harris' operation is being poorly run in the nation's biggest battleground states. democrat leaders are pointing fingers at kamala's pennsylvania campaign manager who they say has been awal.

worry some for the left, pennsylvania democrats that argue harris' team hasn't done enough to turn out voters of color. lattino leaders are grumbling, too. they're telling the harris campaign they aren't doing enough to engage latino voters and feel men still aren't on board with harris. in one town, residents are struggling as factories close, and haitian migrants continue to come into their community in huge numbers. >> the corning glass closure, losing 300 quality jobs, that's a big strain on not only the people in town but the families and the economy. >> they're busing so many people around, just dropping them off. i mean, our town is being overrun. >> you look at their vans, every one of them got a fender bender.

tammy baldwin in wisconsin is touting trump's policies. i thought he was such a dictator, yet they have him in ads. what i need to know, what is the internal polling showing for democrats not going to kamala's rally but put out a trump ad? >> well, listen, what's happening here, democrats are recognizing at least in pennsylvania joe biden would have been a better candidate than kamala harris. you know, he was scranton joe, he had relationships with the unions and key democrats. kamala harris is a san francisco liberal that's completely out of touch with pennsylvania. ban fracking, defund the police, mandatory buy backs of guns, the list goes on and on in her own words, and president trump is gaining real momentum in our polling. he is in the lead and gaining, and our polling, i am tied and gaining. that's because people are recognizing that this is a race between strength and weakness and common sense policies and this radical

liberal agenda that career politician bob kacie supported every step of the way. that's why we are going to win in pennsylvania because that choice is becoming more and more clear. >> you're tied and gaining in polling. if he were here, he would say i am a kamala harris supporter, i agree with trump on one policy. putting that aside, i went on pa.gov, pulled out the excel spread sheet of ballot tracking. they say democrats rurnld ballots, 63% returned. and republicans share is 26.8%. we know democrats tend to vote early, republicans vote on election day. what do you make of the numbers, should they be higher for republicans? >> two things are happening. first of all, voter registration in pennsylvania moved to republicans in huge ways. we have 700,000, closed the gap by 700,000 between democrats and republicans. it was a million more registered democrats when trump won in 2016.
