>> sean: according to a new report, kamala is the preferred candidate of the chinese communist party because trump's tariff threats could stump their economic growth and of course we're very well aware of their unfair trade practices their intellectual property theft saber rattling and everything in between. meanwhile concerns over soaring prices continue to plague every american across the country everything you buy every store you go to costs more and the cost of elder care outpacing inflation leaving millions of americans struggling and as inflation continues to rise, according to the data, the places hit hardest in september were blue cities, boston and chicago. never mind the account fa every time you gas up you pay a buck, buck 50 a gallon more than you were paying four years ago. here to join us o'leary ventureist shark tank friend of the show our good friend kevin o'leary is back with us.

i was so glad to hear your comments on tariffs because knowing donald trump as well as i do, everything is transactional and every comment he's making, when it comes to foreign countries, is a negotiation. and he did -- he really will make any car manufacturer, any manufacturer at all, if you're going to take your jobs out of america yeah we're going to charge you a lot to bring them back so it's not going to be worth your while. he's saying to china if you're going to charge us x number of dollars for us to import our products into your country, we're going to do the same thing back to you. however, i don't think that's what he wants but he is negotiating. what part of that are people missing? >> i think they should understand that most countries on earth for 40 years have been trying to level the playing field with china. we're the largest economy still

worldwide so we should take the lead on this mandate. china does not think a level playing field is necessary. i'll give you an example been can relate to. i've been using it quite a bit because everybody uses tik tok in america. we have deemed it to be chinese spy wear because it is, everybody knows that. and they have to shut down on midnight january 19, 2025, not to far away. that's the will of the people bipartisan basis that's what the american people have decided to do through their reputation in congress. the supreme leader takes a different view. he says why don't i use the american court system to slow this we thing up and litigate in the united states so i can't get shut down. and make no mistake about it every single chinese business is owned by one guy the supreme leader. you can look at it a different way but i don't because i'm a realist. i do business there. so the supremeist is using our courts to stop us from doing the people's will. we can't do that in china we

can't sue the supreme leader in china we can't protect our ip. i would like to take this opportunity for the american people to understand this is a tactic, it could be a short-term one but i want to do something even past what trump wants to do. i would like to bring their economy to its knees by charging 400% on selected items. i'll give you an example. yoga mats we probably import two million a week in china. we can make them in indian vietnam and america. 400 tariffs on yoga mats and put them out of business and they lose those lowees. the supreme leader as we do it sector by sector he will fly to washington he will meet with whoever the president is and he will cut a deal. he only understands the stick, that's all he understands. 40 years of negotiating with this guy and his predecessors means nothing. squeeze the head, i love the people it is he the government i want to go to war w you put

6:35 pm
passes five million in sales you're going to see that product on alibaba at two-thirds off and they'll try to put you out of business. you prove the market for them and they're selling it right here in the united states. there's no way you can protect your ip. they're using your molds to screw you. this story has happened thousands of times and there's no way can stop it. so when people come at me with academic studies about changing china's behavior and not to do that they're not dealing with china like i am. i'm in the real world, these guys do not play by the rules and the only thing they understand is the stick. we need to give them the stick. now, i don't like tariffs, these are short-term strategies but if you shut them down and you cause economic pain they'll come to the table. >> sean: totally agree with you. and, you know, trump would occasionally say and people get mad, we can be a stupid country sometimes. we allow the communist chinese tens and tens of thousands we know know because of
