absolutely stunning -- charlie: and they contain a culture -- rachel: right. charlie: you don't always see it, but we've seen it, certainly, in the aftermath of hurricane helene. it contains a culture, and you go from one hollow to the next, and people are completely different. but they're the toughest ors most wonderful people. will: yeah. rachel: i saw the most amazing clip online of two little girls, it was after the hurricane in that that area that you're talking about. their house was wrecked behind them, and the two little girls were singing, yes, jesus loves me. charlie: oh, wow. rachel: i actually said to the producers, it just -- but talk about that culture and that spirit after that. it's phenomenal. will: it's actually a good transition, speaking about what you heard in that video in north carolina, there was a stunning video on roughly the same subject, loves -- jesus loves, that came from vice president and presidential candidate kamala harris. i think this moment you're about to see in the past would have

been the end of a presidential campaign. this is kamala harris at a rally. >> we remember donald trump hand selected three members of the united states supreme court -- [background sounds] with the intention that they would undo the protections of roe v. wade, and they did as he intended. [inaudible conversations] oh, you guys are at the wrong rally. [cheers and applause] no, i think you meant to go to the smaller one down the street. if. rachel: don't forget, she is in lacrosse, wisconsin. this is not brooklyn, this is not san francisco. there's a lot of people, pro-life people in that area. she needs to win that state. she just kicked jesus out of her

rally, told people that's the other rally over there, and i think you're right, this should be her deplorable moment. the question is, will it be? will this be a campaign-killing, you know, viral moment that she just -- will: charlie, you pointed out earlier, in the past there's been pro-life democrats. rachel: there's no more left. charlie: oh, in a lot of ways they were, at one point, the backbone of the party. of course, they have been completely run out of the party. but it is the really strange, i think even if you asked people involved in the campaign what is the number one issue of kamala harris' campaign, she would it's abortion. rachel: yeah. charlie: which is a really weird thing just setting it all aside, you know, all the other, you know, whatever your personal opinions are about abortion, the idea that that is your -- the only issue you really can campaign on and then, of course, now she claims to care about the economy, cares to claim about inflation after spendingt it dit every -- they would all say their number one issue is abortion, and that's just a

really weird thing -- rachel: it's not just weird it's really, it's really dark. charlie: so dark. rachel: and, by the way, her polling on it shows that's where she's focused on. if you think about the only moments she actually gets animated and excited and she's right there off the cuff, you know, like, there's not a lot of unscripted moments, that's -- what you just saw, that's the real kamala. that's what animates her. will: well, i just, i don't know what she heard. i don't know -- she heard somebody say jesus is lord. i don't see the other side of the camera angle. i don't know if they were holding a sign expressing they're pro-life, but they revealed something that she heard or saw, and i think at every point, i made this point earlier, but i think at every point in american history, every democratic presidential candidate would have reacted differently to that. i don't think joe biden would have done that. i don't think barack obama would have cone that. would have done that. and again, i don't know what she

heard, if they expressed pro-life sentiments for a democrat candidate to say you have no place here? that's, to me, if she didn't -- okay, that's a career ender if she didn't hear it then the minute she walks off stage and one of her staffers goes, they yelled jesus is lord, the reaction had to be, oh -- rachel: but then why didn't she correct it? the democratic party voted god out of their platform a long time ago. she is somebody who actually is that person that a you just saw. that is one of her most authentic moments. by the way, speaking of camp pain staff, you know, things are getting tense. so she got advice not to to go to that al green dinner, and the advice came to her from her campaign manager, julie chavez. and it's being reported that when harris realized what -- and, by the way, this is why. so julie chavez said i didn't -- i don't think you should attend, i'm afraid that if you associate with these, you know, catholic

figures, it might alienate our liberal lgbtq and abortion voters, okay? so this is when they care about. and she said maybe don't go, do this cringey video that you see right here, and she did that. but then they a saw the backlash from it and, apparently, she berated this campaign manager. they said she spent half an hour yelling at her, telling her you're horrible at your blanking job, blamed her for potentially jeopardizing the campaign. and i think all the joy that they tried to sell us was, you know, her key quality, the joy and brat girl stuff is gone. charlie: and hereafter the al smith dinner will be known as the al green dinner -- rachel: did i say al green? charlie: yeah. rachel: that's the second time i've done that. [laughter] will: she was asked, by the way, where is the joy in this campaign?

>> critics who say the joy is gone, you respond -- >> oh, i'm having a great time. [laughter] will: it's still here. i'm still joyful. that's what she had to say. charlie: but she says it with a twinge of bitterness, a twinge of anger. you can't hide that. the joy is gone. rachel: yeah. it's getting, it's getting tense. as a you guys said, two and a half weeks away, and the momentum seems to be to on donald trump's side. and this isn't the way it was supposed to be, guys. they had everything figured out. charlie: she needs less anger and more al green. [laughter] rachel: yeah! you're right. will: in a town hall this week, donald trump talked about trans athletes in women's sports, and he promised action. [laughter] >> my question is, how do you plan on addressing the transgender issue in women's sports? >> we stop it. with we stop it. we absolutely stop it. you can't have it. it's a man playing in the game, i mean, physically from a muscular -- even if it was a little bit less, maybe they do

all sorts of tests and drugs and everything else -- >> how do you stop it? do you go to the sports leagues? >> you just ban i. the president bans it, you just don't let it happen. charlie: you know, say what you want to, whatever kamala harris says, let me be clear, you know, whatever, she's going to lie and you'll have no idea what she's talking about. the thing about donald trump, and it's what people love about him but also what a lot of people don't like about him, he's so clear. he answers the question, and he goes right to the heart of it. and there's no question where he stands on it. and there's a reason that that's, like, politicians avoid doing that, because it does, it kind of cuts both ways. but you know where he stands on this. rachel: although on in this issue, you guys, i think this is where even liberals are on this issue. charlie: completely. rachel: i think it's such a tiny minority of weirdoes who think men should be in girls' sports and feminists, i don't know why they're for this -- will: let me set this up --

rachel: sure, go ahead. will: it is, perhaps it's a radical minority, but it's certain he affecting reality. san jose state has a male on their women's volleyball team. pretty good too. an outside attacker, outside hitter. and they've -- he is high up in the number of kills that he's had. however, they've had to forfeit several games, so wyoming, boise state have all forfeited so, therefore, san jose state the hasn't played those games. the latest is nevada is forfeiting their game. so the girls are starting to make a stand. and we had one of those girls, sia lily, she's the captain of the nevada if women's volleyball team, on the show a little bit earlier. >> we just want our rights to be upheld on the court, and we believe that women deserve their opportunity, and it's just not right. the vast majority of us voted that we didn't feel safe and we

didn't think that it was right if we participated in that match. i hope it opens the eyes of not only the ncaa, but our conference, the mountain west, that we're standing up for something, and we hope that they hear our calls. we all know that it's something that we want to stand for, and it's bigger than just the the win and loss. it's women's sports and the future of it. ray this is what feminism looks like, what you just saw right there. women standing up for themselves against a system that is not fair. that's them nhl. by the way -- feminism. the university of nevada said the university and its athletic programs are governed by the nevada constitution and nevada law which strict thely to prohints equality of rights under the the law. the university intends to move if forward with the match as scheduled. will: but the girls are say,, n. charlie: i have such profound respect for those women who are doing that. rachel: me too.

charlie: but at the same time, it's so depressing to stop and think that they're having to do it. where are the adults? where are the dads and the moms and the school administrators who are standing up for them? the fact that they're the ones, that it falls on them to the actually stand the up and take this, this stand is, it's so frustrating. though i do really admire it. rachel: i admire it, and i also think it's good for the feminist movement because we're starting to see who really sands for women. and right now the feminist establishment means nothing. there's going to be -- and, by the way, when's standing on the side of these women concern who's stand on the side of these women? conservative women. everybody with common sense is stand on side of these women. all i kept thinking about was that scene from meet the parents, remember, where they're playing water volleyball and he slams it in her face? will: breaks her nose? rachel: yeah, breaks her nose. it is just unconscionable. charlie: at some point, girls are going to start getting hurt.

not on their electronics, meant to be meditating and praying, so you can only imagine that this monumental news of sinwar's death was that much more welcome during an already somber week. back to you guys in new york. will: thank you, matt. well, national security concern canses are on the rise as we learn a fleet of mystery drones were spotted flying over u.s. military bases in virginia last year for 17 straight days. chuck desore's vice president of the texas public policy foundation, and he joins us now to react. chuck, thanks for being with us. you wrote an op-ed about this. this happened a year ago. we're just now learning about it. pretty, shocking. what to do we know about these drones? >> well, will, first of all, thanks for having me on. these drones were large. some of them were as large as 20 the feet long. these are the sorts of drones that would have to be launched likely off of a ship offshore. they also had smaller quad

copters that came down off of the larger mother ship drones that hoveredded just above the ground. this happened for 17 straight nights at langley air force base in virginia starting on pearl harbor day, december 7th. and when they started, will, what ended up happening is you had endless meetings in the white house. instead of the warriors defending the base and our nation, the biden-harris dispatched battalions of lawyers to try to to figure out what to do. and at the end of the day, they were paralyzed in enaction, did nothing, and the drone flights simply stopped. will: okay, so i have a couple questions. first, you said they were large enough they probably would have had to have been launched from a ship off the coast. it seems inconceivable that would escape america's attention in terms of our surveillance, how spying from a foreign power. so i don't know how this happens or to how -- i don't know how -- i guess, chuck, i don't know how

big a threat i'm supposed to take this as. i don't know who could have possibly done this. >> well, will, one of the ships was, in fact, inspected by the coast guard, and they couldn't find anything. the thing is that there were several other suspicious ships in the region that they never got to. and, will, it gets worse. just a couple of months earlier there were several mystery drone flights over our nuclear testing range in nevada just north of las vegas. and, again, nothing was done. and it gets even worse. some of the fbi agents that have been assigned to look into this have reported drones flying over their homes as if to say, hey, we know where you are. and is so i really think what this does is it boils down to an administration that doesn't take these threats seriously. you just had on the previous secment a drone attack on prime minister netanyahu's house. we've seen with russia and ukraine the utility of drones,

and yet somehow we're preventing our warriors from defending their own bases by saying, oh, no, you need to get permission from the if attorney general or from secretary of homeland security al a hand crow mayorkas. no, that's wrong. base commanders have an inherent authority within their command to to defend their bases. will: why wasn't that done, chuck? that'll be my final question for you. okay, there's the issue of where these came from. the second, why wasn't anything done? >> well, the fear was there may be some collateral damage that could happen. they also wanted to use some of these advance teams that that they had, these anti-drone teams. there's only two of them. mayorkas has not allowed more to be built. the problem with worrying about collateral damage is that any damage that would happen would be entirely the fault of the people's republic of china. it's the people's republic of china's sending these drones into u.s. air space, violating our air space just like they did with the spy balloon early last
