campaign is, just look at their ads. >> yeah, that's right. and, i mean, a lot of lessons here. one of them you hear so many democrats talk about donald trump being this great threat to the country -- [laughter] and bob casey, you mentioned there, is certainly one of them. and when it comes time to campaign, a number of them seem very eager to tie themselves to his policies, at least on trade and energy. so it should be reassuring that when they talk about how he's going to croix the country, they don't -- destroy the country, they don't necessarily mean it. but i think the takeaway here is that for some of these senate candidates on the democratic side, their internal polling is uglier than the public polling. you've had bob casey, he's -- it seems to be a smaller lead, but he's had the lead throughout at least in the public polling. currently up 3-4 points. but he is looking at something, maybe it's the movement toward the republican, dave

mccormick, but this is not a move you make unless or you are very concerned in the closing stages of a race. tying yourself to donald trump, i think it's, it's a sign of trouble, and i think also casey realizes he has to try to move to the center because he has a lot of bad votes on that biden-harris spending agenda that contributed to to inflation. charlie: yeah. it's kind of hard -- it's such a great point. it's kind of hard to imagine that they would name-check hitler in their ad -- >> yeah, right. charlie: donald trump really was hitler. it's interesting though, bob casey votes with the haste-biden administration if -- harris-biden administration something like 99% of the time. so it's, first of all, it calls into question the believability of bob casey. obviously, he's been around for a long time. people mow him. but it -- know him. it does sort of raise questions about his credibility. but also, you'd think that it might run the risk of running

off some of his more loyal supporters who still believe all the rhetoric about how trump is hitler. >> yeah it's a dangerous move. as you say, you can alienate your left-wing base. it's not something you do unless you're deeply concerned. you mentioned he can does have this, has had for years, a moderate image. he's had a lot of elections that were not close. he benefited greatly from the fact that his father with the same name was a very beloved and very moderate politician in that state. he was one of the last really pro-life democrats. but i think this is kind of a reckoning, and dave mccormick, the republican candidate, has, i think, had some success pointing out this guy is not that moderate. he's basically been with the team as the democratic party has moved further and further left. and so i think this is, this is an issue, kind of an identity

crisis. odd for a politician who's been at it this long. i think casey is trying to redefine himself as that moderate that he has always presented himself as, but voters are now skeptical about. charlie: not to get ahead of ourselves, i but we could look back at this particular if race as sort of a watershed moment that shows how far left the democratic party has gotten. thank you so much sister joinin, james. >> thanks, charlie. charlie: still ahead, former president trump tells "fox & friends" what he believes is the top top issue facing the country. our next guest agrees. we'll reveal it next.

66% of border patrol surveillance cameras, get this, are out of service. here to react is art del cueto, national border patrol council vice president. art, so great to have you on, especially on a topic like this which you know so much about. let's just get to the camera situation first, because it's blowing my mind. how the heck is it that 66% of these cameras aren't working? is all the money just going to processing instead of actually securing? >> well, that's because this administration doesn't care. look, agents have been complaining about the camera situation for a long time saying, hey, some of these cameras don't work. i think that the response gave at some point is, well, you know, things have a life span. they can do? you've got to fix them. and that's what's just amazing to me, is they are response and their lack of effort. and they just don't care. they've had open border policies since day one, and this continues the prove how inept they really are. rachel: you know, art, i wonder if it'sen on purpose. they don't really want us to know what's going on at the

border. >> well, you know, they removed a lot of the agents from the field, put hem in processing centers. they stopped talking about the gotaway numbers because there's nobody out there to count them. it's just -- i don't want to the say it's a mystery. it's just shocking. i'm not surprised because i've seen how bad they are since day one, but it is shocking that they continue to do the same thing. and there's still a group of americans out there that are baffled, and it's just -- you know, like president trump said, it's a big deal because immigration creates that domino effect that causes all the other problems. and it's the simple. the american public just needs to hook at this. look -- the look at this. look, you have a person that's been in office for the last three and a half years, going on four, that has had open border policies that hasn't cared about americans or the american safety. america deserves somebody that cares about them. americans deserve somebody that cares about them, and president trump is the person that can do it. and that's, i mean, it's that simple. rachel: yeah. >> you want someone that the loves you or you don't want someone that loves you. rachel: absolutely.

that's absolutely it. and kamala was the border czar, and alejandro mayorkas not being impeached is the biggest scandal, i think. he's the homeland security guy, and we have cameras that don't work, 66% of them or, at our southern border. it's totally outrageous. i want you to listen to this quote. speaker mike johnson was talking to the new york post, and he said this: i begged joe biden myself personally to do that; that is, to reverse the remain in mexico policy. this is what he was talking about. he said i begged biden to do that, is and he said he wouldn't. he said, it's complicated. biden responded flatly in johnson's trel thing, mexico, quote, doesn't want that, said joe biden. you can make it less complicated, you can just show leadership, is what the speaker told him in response. with all due respect, sir, you're the president of the united states, it doesn't matter what mexico wants. you tell them. what do you make of that? he's saying, you know, he undid

the policy. he saw what it created, and he said it's too hard, mexico says they don't want us to do that. >> it's so -- so who's running the country? is our president run running the country or the mexican president? who controls our immigration policies? when you're in your home, do your neighbors tell you how to live in your home, or is it you that's in charge of what happens in your household? it's just -- i'm baffled, rachel. i truly am baffled at how horrible we have cone in the last three plus years under this administration and if how people just still continue to to follow along. but i thinkable this coming election concern i think this coming election, i think enough people have woken up in various communities, and they realize that the only path towards american victory is through donald trump. rachel: yeah. well, it's -- we'll see what happens. i do believe that people are waking up, and they're tired of the cartels having operational control of our border instead of good men like you, art del

cueto. thank you so much for joining us. >> thank you, rachel. have a good weekend. rachel: you to too. all right, will? will: thank you, rachel. turning now to your headlines, firefighters in oakland, california, stopping a brush fire's advance but only after it gutted multimillion homes, forcing over -- multiple homes. the fire briefly caused a shutdown on the interstate. the flames erupt rutted on a red flag warning day when it's extremely cry and windy. a judge ruling meta must face a lawsuit in massachusetts claiming its features on facebook and instagram are purposefully addictive to children. the company's accused of making false statements about its efforts to protect children and keep kids younger than 13 off its platforms. meta argues the suit violates a law which can shield tech companies liable for content uploaded by users. it's the season of giving, and this year aldi is offering a thanksgiving meal for 10, it's a

meal for 10 people, for just under $47. the meal includes a butterball turkey, stuffing and all the trim things plus a pumpkin pie. walmart is also offering what they are calling an inflation-free thanksgiving meal which is available through christmas eve. it comes out to $7 per-person meal and includes turkey, corn rolls and pecan pie. and those are your headlines. what's a corn roll? rachel: it's not a corn roll, it's a corn and rolls. will: well, there's no comma. [laughter] let's go to chief meteorologist rick reichmuth -- rick: i was listening, and i was wondering what a corn roll was. [laughter] i tell you, commas can change everything. will: exactly, yes. rick: all right, you were just showing that fire in california. i tell you what, we've got drought that has been a expanding across a lot of the country without getting much moisture, and it's going to be a problem for a while.

out acrass the the -- across the west we are getting some, we've got winter storm warning across parts of and colorado. getting a big winter storm to start. but i tell you what, that storm is hitting this massive area of high pressure across the eastern part of the country, and it is the not going to penetrate that at all. we are going to continue to remain cloud-free and precipitation-free probably for at least the next week, maybe longer. there is a new tropical storm, this is nadine. it is going to make landfall in belize by midday or so and bring a lot of rain there. good news, none of that's going to make its way towards the u.s. at least dropically. ocean temperatures still really warm, and is we'll watch the chance for more development over the next couple of weeks. will, back to you. will: in just hours, nebraska takes on indiana in a must-see match-up right here on fox, and adam klotz is counting down to kickoff live next. ♪ ♪

will: the hoosiers come into the game undefeat at 6-0 for the second time in school history. charlie: joining us live in bloomington, indiana, adam klotz and leave football analyst -- lead football analyst joe clot. what's up, guys? adam: hey, how's it going? this is a really exciting day. the crowd? i mean, the crowd's always a great at these, but this crowd is is into it. they're excited. indiana sold out the game for the first time in years, 6-0 taking on the 5-1 nebraska cornhuskers. what are you expecting in this game? obviously, there's a lot of excitement if around this game in particular. >> there's been a lot of talk about is indiana actually, like, real. is this the a real threat in college football, and i'm here to tell you, they absolutely are. their new head coach has done a marvelous job here early at indiana, and he brought in a lot of experienced players. a lot of these guys are transfers, they had a ton the of

success at their last spot. so experienced players with lots of production, and that's one of the reasons why they're so good. adam: so in a way, like, people think maybe indiana isn't tested,s but because there's transfers, they may be more tested than folks realize? >> way more experienced than folks realize because everyone say, oh, or this is brand new, but it's not. a lot of these players particularly on offense, they've played 30, 40 games prior to being at indiana in their careers. i think the epitome of that is their quarterback, curtis rourke. he was a mac player of the year at ohio, and he came here, and he's cone a marvelous job. he's a really good player. i can't wait to watch him today. adam: what are you looking for in this game today? what will iu show you, nebraska show to you for the rest of the season? >> nebraska also very good. to me, the entire game boils down to these two quarterbacks. one's very experienced, for indiana. the other, a true freshman, he was one of the highest recruited

players in the country. he chooses nebraska to try to bring them back. a legacy player, his dad played at nebraska and then in the nfl for a number of years. and these two players, how they go is how the game is going to go. if somebody turns the ball over, that team will lose. it's about protecting the football and making plays down the field. adam: last question because i know everybody cares about this, right? can indiana go to the college playoff? is that in the game? >> listen to me, america, indiana is 6-0. they're going to be the favored until they play ohio state. that would put them at 10-0. if they get to 10-0, indiana is absolutely in the college playoff conversation which, to be honest, is a wild thought. adam: that was my last question for to you, but i have will back in the studio, he wants to ask you something. will, what's the question? will: all right, or everybody's excited about indiana, i'm excited about nebraska's quarter babs. but i need two restrictions. alabama-tennessee, and obvious, the number one ranked texas longhorns taking on georgia.
