harris ahead in their latest poll, in the margin of error of three, what's interesting to note in 2020, trump won north carolina by 1.3%. just 47,000 votes. now, when you go a little deeper, into the actual issues, this is what people are watching. on the economy, of course, trump is ahead there, 51-48. but then on abortion, look at that, harris ahead by 10 points on abortion, and then, the one that everyone has paid so much attention to, it's risen to the second most important issue in the fox polling, immigration, according to quinnipiac, a three-point advantage there. so we'll see exactly how this plays out, but one thing for sure, it's all eyes, molly on traditional pennsylvania and the blue wall, but also, i think north carolina may be an important one to keep our eyes on. molly, we'll send it to you and

the panel. molly: the folks suffered so much in recent weeks. get job setting this up, griff. we appreciate it. for more on the latest fox news polls, we'll bring in our political panel. with us fox news panel analyst, and thank you for your time on this. gianno, let's start with you, and kick it off in michigan and this is where the candidates have been the last 24 hours, harris on the ground there today and an event with lizzo coming up and when we look at just the numbers, the economic numbers in michigan, they faced some challenges much like all across the country. we have a graphic, food, shelter, energy prices, the kitchen table issues. but in michigan, especially, they have a big manufacturing sector and talk a lot about outsourcing and president trump has been there talking to the economic clubs and polling well on it. your thoughts how michigan could be a standout state to watch as we're also keeping an eye on that critical
9:32 am
pennsylvania, gianno? >> well, we know that michigan is the crown jewel in the demo democrats blue wall and president trump to win it, just across the nation 750,000 undecided voters or something like the undecided vote in certain states, but in michigan we had over 100,000 of those. in 2016 donald trump won michigan by what, 11,000 votes, 11,000 plus votes. this is going to be an issue for the democratic party and they know it, that's why they continue to send kamala harris to michigan. you've got the fact that donald trump is beating her and when i say beating, she's underperforming joe biden who everybody thought was going to lose, with working class whites, union workers who are largely in michigan, hispanics and african-americans, it's not looking so good for her whether it be michigan, wisconsin, or pennsylvania. now, i know that the numbers are going to be tight. i get that, but i think he's doing better than even the
9:33 am
polling is showing right now. molly: david, bringing you in on that donald trump has tended to defy the polls out there, and michigan, when he won in 2016, that hadn't been seen since the '90s for a republican candidate so he's definitely made some inroads there, and where do you think that democrats stand right now? >> a few things that we have to remember is republicans have underperformed in every election since 2016. and i think they're on course to do that again. look, when we look at the numbers, yes, gianno is right, there was this uncommitted vote, but when you you can at that to people, when push comes to shove and the binary choice between kamala harris and donald trump, those uncommitted in michigan during the democratic primary, they're going to come home to kamala harris. i think what's very alarming, which will affect all of these battle ground states is the fact that many evangelical voters are saying they're going to stay home where in the past they had come out to support donald trump, but they're upset
9:34 am
because he's been ambiguous behind the choice issue. we don't know what he's talking about where he stands, he claimed to be the father of ivf the other day to democrats, it's more like he's the father of an abortion ban for one out of every three women in the united states. we look at the polling out of north carolina. i think a lot can be said from that in pulling the tea leaves there. it's neck and neck, three points on either issue, three points up. exception for abortion she's way up on the issues. i know gianno and i talked about this before, immigration, north carolina voters are saying, look, it's the statistical margin of error who they think can be better. donald trump has been talking a lot, but he's talking about the problems. he's not talking about the solutions. and when solutions-- >> the problems came by way of kamala harris. >> gianno i want to bring you both back in on the issue. david brings in the issue, the gender gap. abortion issue, perhaps one of the reasons why the gender gap
9:35 am
is wide leaning for harris' direction and trump gaining in men. the african-american vote, the black vote, big difference in the numbers even between what harris is getting and what biden is getting and we have a graphic for this in 2020, a concern there. when you talk about the gender gap, it's particularly pronounced among young black men 25% of whom said they'd support trump over harris. and that's new york times and sienna college poll. gianno, your thoughts on that monstrous gap? >> it's a gap because to the point, donald trump is talking about the issues that plague the issues all of us brought to us by who? kamala harris. we know that the economy and immigration is number one and two issues. all of those issues, major issues, outside of abortion had a favor donald trump. americans trust him more. almost 80% of americans believe the economy or rather, the country is on the wrong track,
9:36 am
going down the wrong direction because of your people, david, kamala harris and the democrats have put us in this position. they've caused grocery prices to go up 20%. african-americans. >> we know that's not true. >> african-american men are saying you know what? i've had enough of the democrats' promises over decade after decade in our communities have not fared better with democratic rule. donald trump is making a very targeted effort for black voters in general. every constituency that the democratic party usually has had that vote they're now in trouble and it's because of your party, david. >> well-- >> david concerned about the gains that president trump has shown making in the polls, go ahead. >> the poll on the screen there's 10% margin of error there, that means that that poll is really not a good indicator. >> 10% margin of error? >> 9.5 if you look closely on the screen there and that's important to take into consideration. now, look, all of these polls, they are a snapshot in time.
9:37 am
a lot of them have been the same over time, but look, again, donald trump pointing at the problems, are there problems? of course there are. and to say that kamala harris and joe biden created them is nonsense and when people really look at the facts. [laughter] >> you to blame kamala harris for inflation is absurd. inflation hit the entire world. we have the strongest economy in the world and it's thanks to the joe biden-kamala harris policies. >> you know what? >> yes, you can poke holes in them, but look, donald trump had four years as president. he had an opportunity to fix some of the structural problems in immigration and he didn't. he's talking about ending things like sanctuary cities, how is he going do that. >> david, let's be real here. >> it's a fallacy. >> look, we can talk about the problems, but talk about the solutions. >> the problems are that with the party continues to make the mark. >> and an economic plan on tariffs. david, talk, talk, let someone else talk. >> about actual real things. >> david, gianno, thank you so
9:38 am
much. >> i didn't think it was snl time already you've been great with jokes. >> you did ahead of time, thank you. >> and not based in fact, david. >> and for working families, we know that. >> this inflation-- >> and the key polling parties of the ones when the voters head to the polls in about two weeks, a little more than two weeks. thank you guys both for talking us and taking a look at the polls ap we'll see what the voters decide and ultimately is said and done. >> the vote at that counts. >> get out the vote effort underway on both sides. gianno caldwell and david carlucci, thank you. griff. griff: great conversation. and the viral account with the beatdown of two police officers, that was finely captured next. make this work. -we can make this work. it can help you reach them with confidence.
