funded. now, here was a little bit of what vice president harris had to say to my colleague bret baier when he asked her about some of the first things they did. listen here. >> do you regret the decision to terminate remain in mexico at the beginning of your administration? >> the first bill we offered congress before we worked on infrastructure and before the inflation reduction act and before the chips and science act and before the bipartisan safer communities act. the first bill practically within hours of taking the oath was a bill to fix our immigration system. griff: chief, do you remember that moment, that bill and what it have helped things? >> well, everybody has a difference of opinions and that's one thing to put a bill on the table and it's one that's entirely different story and putting an effective bill that
10:31 am
focuses on the problem rather than including a lot of extras that are superfluous and don't fix the problem and to the acting secretary's point, to fy25 budget and kbp is looking for about -- cbp looking for 102 million to upgrade some of the systems but the reality is the need is significantly higher than that. last year alone, well over $1 billion spent on migrant care alone and talk about priorities if we weren't dealing with the flow that we were seeing now, that money could be really well spent on the infrastructure to make agents safer and make their jobs safer. griff: we need to do that un-dotedly. chief -- undoubtedly and, chief, i'll give you the last word and give us your thoughts on if harris does win, what does the border look like under a harris administration? >> let me go back to the clip that you played and she talks about a bill that she bruceed on day one. remember, democrats in her party
10:32 am
had the white house, senate and house and why didn't they pass that bill if so good and would fix the immigration system? the answer is it was so progressive and radford dallas cowboys and members of her own -- radical and members of her own party didn't want to vote for it and did nothing to fix the crisis and secure the border. that's really important for a lot of viewers to understand that that bill would have done nothing and it's all they can point to. she points that that bill and another and why not use the authorities you have and the vice president and listen to folks like the deputy chief and others on that border tahin that know what it takes to secure the boarder and i'm afraid if we're not successful and president trump is not successful in november, and i believe he will be, you'll have a continued three and a half to four more years of this. you'll continue to see these numbers skyrocket, national security threats continue to plague this country. griff: we have to leave it there.

having said that, the prime minister looks completely resolved to finish this war and continuing to deliver these massive body blows to the iranian ring of fire that's been assembled around israel over the last several decades on its border in the south with hamas, on its border in the north with lebanon, and eventually obviously weakening and going after the iranian regime itself. griff: iranian ring of fire, john and you put that well and the iranian proxies is what israel is defending against and now in the wake and we just heard in the last hour, vice president harris did a gaggle with a couple reporters and talking about how the death of yahya sinwar creates a opportunity and hope for ceasefire deal. do you see this as being headed towards a ceasefire deal? >> it's highly unlikely and administration's go to move for months now has been ceasefire and end this war.
