drum up support for harris campaign. meanwhile former president from holding a rally in battleground pennsylvania this evening. hoping to win over that important battleground state. polls show the races neck and neck. newly formed hurricane oscars gaining strength of blows to the southwest atlantic ocean. category one storm is expected to bring rain and strong winds to cuba and the bahamas over the next few days before making a sharp turn back into the atlantic. it's not forecasted at the mainland u.s. oscar, or the smallest cyclones on record in the atlantic basin. i am jon scott and now back to "life, liberty & levin." ♪ welcome back america. were here with general robert spalding. in many ways i think we are importing individuals who hold these viewpoints while not assimilating them. i think your point about the new forms of communication were anybody anywhere in the world

can feed information into our society. in our media it has an impact as well. so, it's time to address these things internally. how would we go about doing that? >> only tow story. tell the story. when i was at the pentagon we had an intern come over from china. the intern landed at dulles airport and they sent a week chat message was is a platform that is in china to one of their friends in maryland. the friend never got the message because it was intercepted and canceled by the chinese. and so what you see, china's strategy was to basically create a firewall and then keep the people on the social meter platforms. so when they came over, they would stay connected to the chinese government. and so essentially you see the same thing with these people coming over. they are on their social media platform stupid they are within their groups and they stay with them. i think part of the problem is we have not moved to ban those

types of communication within the country. so university students that come from china and they stay on their platforms. they speak in chinese for they do not assimilate speed you do not actually had to understand the benefits of living in a free society because they stay connected to the chinese communist party. and as you know, and the middle east, the islamic leaders are connected to their followers who, as you rightly point out have come across the southern border. so yes this is an ideological war powered by these platforms for it unfortunately have very, very little control over because we have chosen not to accept the war for what it is but it's in information it's an ideological war. >> here is my concern if we don't put our hands on this will find out how to confront this in turn it around there'll be a point of no return. that is a society cannot survive. this is what i think president trump meant by enemy within. when you're bringing people into

the country from enemy states have ideologies about destroying the united states, burning the flag. putting up other people's countries and flags it's a huge problem in our country right now. the ideological pushing, this countries using these technologies that are using the open border to weaken us from within. it does need to be taken on all governmentwide. >> absolutely. knowledge of the people coming across the southern border illegally but it is our own kids 30% of american kids are using, getting their news from tiktok. which is basically chinese communist party propaganda it's a tool of the ai company. i think understanding these technologies and how they are used by our adversaries is very important and something we need to get a hole of. i was flying b2's for a living. i started to realize that i could do -- i could fly b-2 for the country but if it ultimately

came home and my kids are communists we lose it. we have to get a handle on this. mark: there's a controversy over tiktok to sell their american assets to an american country or shut down for i come down firmly on the side they sell their assets to an american company or shut down. why in the world would we allow perhaps her number one enemy to have such a massive influence over the younger generation? i mean it is absolutely crazy, isn't it? >> absolutely but if you talk into the old former soviet colleges who studied active measures you know it is active measures on steroids. and they would tell you exactly what needs to be done. we need to shut it off because it is a vector of attack of our society. they want to break down our society. they want to create division. they want to have people questioned in their minds the value of a constitutional republic. and so we have to treat that as a direct attack on the homeland.

it's not like a bomb or a missile but it is even more devastating in my opinion. mark: you think we the people can confront this or the problem is our government, the establishment in washington d.c. just does not seem to be up to the task? >> as you know the people who go to washington d.c. do not answer to the voters. the answer to that donors. the donors are tied into the tiktok class. so unless a break that chain, unless we have different people coming to washington that are more willing to take this on as a challenge or not threatened by donors i think is going to continue to be a problem. mark: general robert spalding you are terrific and i want to have you back for sure. god bless you. and thank you sir. >> thank you. mark: we will be right back.

panders to them, which she is doing as you point out. if she goes out and have interviews with a neutral moderator she is going to blow it. she is damned if she does and damned if she doesn't. the black community is very upset about it but they understand she would have never pandered in this way to them had she had a lead in the polls. she never did it with three and half years. so why do it in the last few weeks of a political campaign if not to be a demagogue and be patently partisan and buy votes? i think african-american men are outraged at the condescending manner if not racist. it is in line with what barack obama did. he came out i don't know his hawaii beachfront home or martha vineyard or the colorado mansion he met a group of young african-american males and basically said you are suffering from false consciousness. as if he is a marxist or something. do not know what's good for you and i'm here to tell you

brothers and he adopted that kind of fake accent. it did not go off well. we are below beyond all that phoniness. people are seeing the other side of this one i did and they don't like it. mark: she does not run any commercials on the long list of things she has done for the black community. she is not done a thing for the black community. that is a fact. we will be right back.

mark: welcome back america program here at the front victor davis hanson. i thought bret baier did a fantastic job of interviewing or trying to kamala harris she came in there with her tactics she in her dresser team came up with to try to filibuster an attack donald trump. to try to get off subject. she cannot answer specific questions because if she does she will expose herself won't she? she will expose herself. she is all things to all people she talks about both sides of her mouth. she is left with going on the attack, attack, attack, attack. i thought the interview really exposed too as the empty pant suit that she is what if you think? >> is a disaster and ungodly disaster for the campaign she will fire the prisoner came up with the idea.

first of all she tried to filibuster by coming 10 minutes late. then she had people on the sidelines waiting to cut, cut, cut the interview down to 20 minutes because of her disastrous performance. the counterfeit or the opposite of jd vance performance. jd, everyone knew had a razor-sharp mind but he had been smeared is unlikable he showed the american people he was a pleasant, likable, fair. she had a reputation she did not know very much and confirm that. she also had a reputation she was a candidate's comment she was happy. happy warrior but she wasn't she was disagreeable. she was offputting. she was rude. she was angry but she lost her temper when she dropped the mask and we saw the real kamala harris in bits and pieces and we heard she fires her staff up or she's unpleasant to work with. she is entitled and i think she just told america all of those

stereotypes were actually true. i'm not a very nice person but i'm on a pleasant and if i don't get my way i threw a tantrum sets of that interview was, it s a tantrum. >> i thought it was amazing that i understood her and her hardcourt base that she's a great and walks on water. but so what? that said, during the course of the interview you could really it sorta encapsulated everything we know about her. you point out 92% of our staff quick we know she drops f bombs they tell us she tells them not to look her in the eye they say she does not do her preparation she doesn't do her work was to take this immigration sheet keeps bringing up immigration. six democrats voted against that bill she keeps think donald trump kill their prey don't think donald trump had influence with 30s bernie sanders, elizabeth warren and the rest of the left as they didn't think a part of six voted against it.

it enshrined illegal immigration to the tune of tens of millions but tens of millions of new illegal immigrants coming into the country. she keeps hiding behind that bill and i thought bret baier did a pretty good job of trying to expose that. and she went off again, right? >> everybody knew bret was going to have to ask your three or four questions. one of them was how can you be a candidate of change when you've been in their three and a half years? everyone knew she would not answer that. she would say it's donald trump and she did. we knew she was going to have to account for the dichotomy of saying she secure the board 10 -- 28 million people coming in and bret asked for that. she went off on donald trump. we know about the transgendered surgeries she supports the government subsidies. they know that's going to be asked her she went off on donald trump. it was a sort of like donald trump is not been there for nearly four years but it is his fault.

and we, who have been your four years blaming him for what we did. i don't think anybody -- but they all expected her to say it but she did it it did not go over. they are in a doom. she cannot speak and she knows she must speak. she cannot hide in it she knows if she gets out in the public she is inept. so i think that's a lot of the reasons -- she's kind of like jimmy carter's circa october 1980 he was running neck and neck with ronald reagan. the gallup polls in october and finally people said i have sized him up. i am tired of his lectures. he is a downer, i do not want to vote for him. with the guy who says we have nothing to apologize for what we are better than the alternative we don't have to be perfect. that's upbeat people are now collectively coming to the same conclusion about her part we've had it with you. we hear what you said it's over. i think we're going to see some movement even more so the next week or two after that interview. mark: you would think if they're going to go to the trouble of
