charlie: no. rachel: tell me you're not. will: i'm addicted to my phone like everyone else. i don't know about that particular scenario where charlie would slap me, but i know i'm eye addicted to my phone like everyone else and i'm not proud of it. rachel: no p i'm not either. it's potential. because everything -- it's terrible. everything we need for our job is also on the phone. it's crazy. charlie: as a parent, that gives you credibility with your kids that this stupid thing is addictive. you're not just preaching to them. i know because it affects me personally. rachel: yeah. will: absolutely is. rachel: there definitely needs to be some clear limits. we've had that conversation a lot on this show -- charlie: self-control. self-governance. rachel: but also not giving kids things they can't handle. will: both candidates are vying for votes in key battleground states. rachel: vice president harris is campaigning in georgia just one day after rallying with lizzo and usher, and former president trump will be in pennsylvania.

charlie: madeleine rivera joins us now from washington with more. >> reporter: vice president kamala harris is celebrating her 60th birthday today, and she'll visit a church outside of atlanta. harris has been engaging with black church goers encouraging them to vote early. more than 1 million have already cast their votes in georgia. detroit also kicked off early voting yesterday, and that's where hearst began her day before head -- harris began her day before heading to the peach state. >> we have 17 days to get this done, and we're not going to be able to the, we're never going to get these 17 days back. and what i think we all know is on election day we don't want to have any regrets. >> reporter: and harris, like you sighs -- guys said, leaned into star power. her event in atlanta featured usher while lizzo joined the vice president in detroit. >> we9 got work to do, atlanta.

staying in pennsylvania today. he's expected to head to a mcdonald's in bucks county. last night he teased that he will work the french fries. he's also set to attend the steelers game against the jets tonight. will, rachel can and charlie. will: thank you, madeleine. so the football games today, and i believe j.d. vance is scheduled to attend as well, reflect a successful appeal the male voters. take a look at the fox news poll, it's 55% among males for trump, 43% for kamala harris. rachel: and you saw the white dudes for kamala ads that came out that were pretty ridiculous. there were some last week that we were laughing at because it looked like they hadn't actually met a man before from those ads. they realize they have a man problem, right in they've been telling men for a long time that they're toxic and that masculinity is toxic, and now they're like, oops, we're losing with men. so they're putting out ads on

betting sites, on video games. also the porn industry has come out for kamala harris. they put out a $100,000 ad, campaign on their sites saying that donald trump's going to take away your pork another play, apparently, for young men. -- your porn. they're pushing the marijuana thing, they're pushing, you know, betting and porn and, you know, this is what they concern and, by the way, abortion. there's also ads saying, you know, donald trump's abortion policies are going to hurt, you know, kill your girlfriend. i mean, this is what they think of omenful it's actually really demeaning. charlie: and then they're surprised it doesn't work when they send out tim walz in a lumberjack shirt with a shotgun that he doesn't know -- rachel: right, he doesn't know thousand load. charlie: let alone probably can't shoot, and then they're surprised that men are mocking them and laughing at them. will: well, you had this moment as well. there's the moment from last weekend, fumbling with his

[laughter] you had this -- charlie: he does jazz hands really well. will: he does have jazz hands. rachel: yeah, he's so manly. charlie: there's a video going around, what's the mama mia song, dancing queen? if him doing jazz hands to the dancing queen. i can watch that thing -- i can't take the guy very much, but -- rachel: send that that to me, charlie, i'd like to see that. charlie: i'll see if i can find it. will: on thursday, kamala harris was at university of wisconsin-milwaukee, and she had an interesting interaction with some protesters. this isn't over the jesus is lord moment, that in just minute, but this is over israel, palestine, gaza. >> what about the genocide? if. [inaudible] his podcast where donald trump was asked about and what he would do and would you, you know, would you want to change the regime. and it was fascinating, he came out against regime change in iran. he said -- he never, he is true to himself. he just said, you know what in we can't even run ourselves, you know? and i think i mentioned to you earlier that there was a vote -- i mean, an interview on cnn with a muslim or arab-american woman, and she said i haven't met anybody in the dearborn, michigan, area who says heir going to vote for kamala. and it's not that they think donald trump's not going to defend israel, i think they're just looking for someone who won't exacerbate the problem, we won't get world war iii, a bigger problem on our hands. charlie: and, of course, that is the best argument about, you know, or there's legitimate concern for people who live in gaza. rachel: yes. charlie: legitimate concern. and the way you solve that legitimate concern is you end

the hostilities, and you remove hamas so they're not governed by terrorists. rachel: yeah. charlie: and i think that normal people actually recognize that, but it's these people who are in league with iran, in league with actual hamas, and they actually support the efforts of hamas. and that's a real problem. will: well, i mentioned the protesters and we'd get to in this in just a moment because that's not the only interaction kamala harris had with protesters. with we showed you this yesterday where she was giving a speech and several individual, young people can yelled out, we believe for pro-life purposes, jesus is lord. and this is how she responded. >> we remember donald trump hand selected three members of the united states supreme court with the intention that they would undo the protections of roe v. wade, and they did as he intended. first time taking an interview with anybody, and i think it's important because this is our raw, like, untold story. there's a lot that happened off camera that we said at the protest and, well, or while we were protesting. and i guess we can tart off with after she talked about overturning roe v. wade and donald trump, i yelled out to the crowd that abortion is sacrament of satan. and when i said that,s i deeply do believe that as a christian. about ten sends go by, and that's when the video of my friend grant and i proclaiming that christ is lord and jesus is king, when we said that. and i think it's important to say this is a small venue, and we were about 20-30 yards away from kamala at this point. there's a lot of controversy that that says she wasn't talking to us or we left, we didn't get kicked out. well, i can speak on grant's and

i's behalf on video of getting pushed if shoved, if there's about five seconds after -- or before she tells us to go to the smaller rally down the street, you can see on the video with she waves. she was actually waving to maine i took this cross off my neck that i wear. and as we were getting asked the leave, i held it up in the air and waved at her and pointed to her, and she looked me directly in the eye, kind of gave me an evil smirk. and, yeah, i just wanted the clear that up and confirm that she 100% was talking to us. and there's other controversy that says we left. we were getting shouted at, pushed, assaulted, screamed at. so we were walking away, buts there is about a three attendees there, volunteers, that kicked us out with badges or whatever they had. and if i specifically remember this one man saying you are uninvited and unwelcome to this event, and all they did was walk us out the door, no cops

escorted us out, no secret service. and, yeah, that are's our story. charlie: so where was this event held exactly? >>-held many our university of lacrosse' gym. so -- charlie: did you pay tuition to go to the university? >> i do pay tuition to go to the school, but this was a free event. this is a really small venue. they only said there was about 25090people there, so when she told us go to the smaller rally, i didn't think there could be smaller -- charlie: but you were allowed to be there. you paid to be there. >> yes, correct. correct. rachel: grant, i want to get your point of view from there. is there anything you want the add to luke's story? and what did it feel like? she basically said -- you said -- or grant said something, luke said something about jesus, right in jesus is king, jesus is lord, and she said you're not welcome here. i want to to know what you pelt in that moment and if there's anything you want the add to the

story. >> first of all, thank you, rachel. thank you, will. thank you, charlie, for having us. you know, we're very weesed on here. we are very blessed to speak on the national stage. it's important that we get our message out in any way possible. first of all, we didn't really intend on, you know, going at any people. people online were calling us maga fascists. that was never our intention. going to this rally, we were only here to protest our faith and we did so. we never expected this to grow as large as it was. essentially, she was speaking and we decided to say christ is king, jesus is lord, and we got a lot of backlash. as you can see in that firsthand video, i was pushed by an elderly woman. we were he canninged at, we were cursed at, we were mocked. and that's the biggest thing for

me personally. in reflection of the event, jesus is mocked. you know, his disciples were mocked, and that's okay. in reality we did god's work, and we were there for the right reasons, and god was watching us in this moment. you know, i'm all about being a cordial person no matter your beliefs or but i do believe that we were sent there by god, and i do believe this timing, you know, 18 days before the election, is imperative for young americans and first-time voters like myself to to understand that this is what you are going to get with a kamala harris presidency. if you are going to get the kamala harris that alienates over 50% of the u.s. population that is christian.

you're going to the get the kamala harris that skips the al smith memorial dinner that no major presidential candidate has skipped since, i believe, walter mondale in1984. over, you know, now over 40 years ago. i'm a 20-year-old man. that's double my life. so that's a long time for someone not to attend that event. that along with our experience on this day, it's a good storm for the op to decision, and it just proves what type of person kamala is and what type of leader she will be. will: i'd love to ask you this question out of my own curiosity, and i know it's a difficult question because i'm asking you to put yourself in the mind or experience of someone else, meaning that person could be kamala harris. but when she responded that way to you and grant, luke, i'm curious what she understand

about -- she understood about you with. what had you made clear? that you were a protester? that you were pro-life many we all hear you say christ is king, jesus is lord. did she understand your message in i want to know specifically what she is rejecting. i know you can't know because you weren't in her mind, but you can know what did you make clear. >> yeah. so i said jesus is lord due to the abortion, roe v. wade she was talking about which me and many are christians around the world disagree with, with her stance on abortion. and we wanted to to kind of send her a message that, you know, as christians, at least me and grant, we don't accept or agree with her abortion policies and that we believe that jesus is lord and that he has the final say in everything we do. it's something we center our life around. so i guess we wanted her to know

that. will: right. rachel: luke, grant, i think you guys are two really brave boys. they don't call it the people's relick of concern republic of madison for nothing. you are brave and courteous, as i can see right here, and i i just admire you, and i just want you to know that the. i think your message is resonating. charlie: and very wise young men. and you'll never get an apology from the kamala harris campaign, but i hope you get an apology from the university because you had every right to be there. will: thank you, guys. >> charlie, if i could say something -- rachel: sure. >> you know, this is extremely important for young americans to understand. you know, if i could ask is my young americans in this country what do you want your future to look like in this country, do you want to have to struggle to pay for gas, do you want to have to struggle to afford groceries on a daily basis, do you want to

>> after living through this nightmare of inflation, invasion and if humiliation -- charlie: former president donald trump making his case to pennsylvania voters as he rallies the crucial swing state for the second day in a row. our next guest has been covering the campaign trail in the area from day one. pittsburgh-based columnist salina zito joins us now with a firsthand look. nobody i mow has spent more time studying the voters of pennsylvania than you have. or what are you seeing right now on the ground from regular voters? >> so, you know, the coalitions in american politics, democrats and republicans, have changed. so where you would traditionally see support like westmoreland county where president trump was four, eight years ago for democrats has now shifted to republicans. and so you see this change.

and with this change, you also see a lot of enthusiasm for president trump. and in counties like west moreland but also a beaver, luzern, erie, northampton, bucks county where he will be working at mcdonald's today, these are the places where the election is going to be decided. and i wrote a couple weeks ago a, everything's sort of blending together. but the people that are going to decide this election are more likely to be cosmetologists, welders, firemen, steel workers, barbers. the work -- the people that work with their hands, the people that own small businesses. and as opposed to the more elite, more wealthy areas in the center cities of philadelphia or in their suburbs. but also in pittsburgh. and that's where you see the

enthusiasm, are in those counties. it's going to be about 60 of those more rural, postindustrial, working class counties that are going to have the outside effect in this election cycle. charlie: okay. so i want to get to something else, is so just real quick, i do want the get your answer to this one thing. when you've been studying these voters for a very long time. no one knows pennsylvania politics better than you with. are you seeing trends more like 2016 this year or more like 2020 the. >> oh, this is definitely more 202016. -- 2016. charlie: interesting. >> i have argued for a while9 that the election that might end up being a fluke is not 2016, which is what a lot of people thought, but 2020. charlie: fascinating. i want to get to this, senator fetterman issued a stark warning to, about elon musk campaigning on behalf of donald trump in pennsylvania. he said musk is a concern.

not even just that he has enforced trump, but the fact that now he's becoming an active participant and showing up and doing rallies. i think some people would see him as a, like, a tony stark. democrats, you know, kind of make light of it or they make fun of him jumping up and down and things like that, and i would just say that they are doing that at their peril. i thought that that was a pretty strike thing observation from -- striking observation from john fetterman who has some very smart observations about things. but talking about how, you know, elon musk is not just some random celebrity, he's more like this sort of tony stark character that might actually relate the a lot of these voters or you're talking about. >> absolutely. and fetterman understood this in 2016. when he was mayor of braddock, i mean, he and i had an interview together. he said hillary clinton better watch out because there is a

trend towards trump. ask if it's the same sort of thing towards elon musk. elon musk last night gave an impassioned talk about working, people that work with their hands, people that work in the trades, people that don't have a college education but are making it in this country or at least trying to make it. you know, people don't understand that musk appeals to the american ethos the of the dignity of work, and he builds things and he makes things. that sort of goes over the head of a lot of very smart people who don't understand why the working class or the middle class would, you know, gravitate towards him. i would just look at that rocket ship last week. charlie: exactly. and as you say, he builds things. if you're not listening to serena a that zito, you're missing out. thank you, salish s ma. >> thank you. charlie: take care. america's bravest heroes hitting thas
