days to go, we have officially entered the closing argument phase of this presidential election year. and the message from each campaign could not be any more different. former president donald trump focused like a laser on bringing down costs, bringing down crime, securing the boarder and becoming energy dominant and making the world a safer place for all. in other words, he's programming to clean up the mess caused by joe and kamala harris. this isn't a negative campaign. every single day on the ground connecting with americans from all walks of life. i love this. over the weekend, donald trump got down to business at a local mcdonald's out side of philadelphia and worked the fry machine and handed out food at the drive thru and talked to people. looked like having a good time. i see a lot of joy in this. take a look. >> looking for a job, i always wanted to work at mcdonald's. i never did. i'm running against somebody that said she did, but it turned out to be a totally phony story.

[ ♪♪ ] >> sean: all right. we're 15 days away from election day. where do things stand as of today in the polling? trump is surging ahead and nate silver admitted the latest polling is underwhelming for kamala harris and might be under statement and new poll shows donald trump with 2 point lead nationwide. in the swing states things look

better and poll shows trump in the lead with trafalger and in michigan ahead 2 points and in wisconsin trump narrow lead over harris with insider poll trump leading kamala by three. insider advantage poll in nevada shows the race is dead even. it is tied 48, 48. with reaction pollsters matt and robert. robert, i start with my admonition to people 2022 was supposed to be a red wave. didn't materialize. put that aside. so people need to know if they're in any of these seven states that we keep mentioning that they have to assume their vote will decide the state and the election itself. that's in my view. but as you look at it, compare this to where we were. real clear politics average. nationally joe biden up 8.9 in the race in 2020. and now 1.2 point advantage for kamala. and look at the battleground

states donald trump has a one point advantage and not any one candidate leading the aggregate average by more than two points. go back four years ago and joe biden up by 4.3 and about a 5.5 point switch where donald trump was in this state in 2020. take it all in and tell us where you think it stands. >> i think the point you just made is really important that people cannot assume that this is going to be like it was in 2022, that people are going to turn out -- the democrats are very good at turning people out. so it is essential that republicans understand that the only way you're going to make up for that -- the democrats i believe can make up for two point deficit with their get out the vote and everything else they do around elections. so it's important for republicans to turn out. now, these numbers do look a lot better and, you know, the

question is, has the pollsters really adjusted their models? you know, matt and i really don't think they have. we don't think they really understand exactly where the trump voters are coming from. and there's also a thing of people who just vote for trump and vote every four years. and, you know, matt and i have been very good at locating those people and pointing out what they're going to do. so i think right now, i feel very confident that trump is in very good shape in most of the battleground states, probably save wisconsin and nevada. a lot of things happen in nevada with the get out the vote and with the unions and wisconsin has crazy last minute voter registration rules that kind of throw a monkey wrench in things. i think the other states look good. nothing can be taken for granted. republicans turning out the way they have in early voting is essential. the rural areas we know in georgia are over performing. that's the key. people have to turn out. that's the way you make up for

anything that happens at the last minute. >> sean: and, you know, matt, that is interesting because republicans historically have been reluctant and resistant to voting early and voting by mail. factor that in to your analysis when we talk about where donald trump was in 2020 versus now? >> well, tell you something really interesting, let's talk about georgia for a minute. we know that early voting is up in terms of in person early voting. but the over all votes cast are down 9% as to where they were at this point in 2020 because the absentee ballots mailed to everybody in the world have disappeared. and they're not there to fill the void. i think that's going to be a big plus for donald trump because the democrats were great at picking up the ballots and getting them in. i think that will be a change certainly in georgia. i'm seeing general things in the polling right now. i'm seeing number 1 that the african american vote for trump is actually expanding and
