the immigration crisis and the economy to really reach out to minority voters. voters that would have normally gone to the democratic party. we saw that last week with arab and muslim americans. we are seeing that with hispanic americans and black americans. take a look at this brand new suffolk poll out this week. it shows that trump right now is leading harris amongst latino voters in a head to head. that's a big deal e is trailing a little far behind. pretty far behind harris among black voters. put it in perspective here, guys. he got 8% to president biden's 91% amongst black voters in 2020. so, doing a lot better this time around. that's according to our voter analysis. so, doing a lot better. then, of course, that viral visit to a pennsylvania mcdonald's where he really was trying to reach out to the everyday man. he went there over the weekend. he was trying up french fries. working the drive-thru. it really connected with a lot of people across the country. trump is coming off a big campaign blitz in north

carolina. that's where he saw the devastation of hurricane helene near asheville first hand and despite the storm, guys, a million people so far have voted early in that state. i asked him there's any concern at all for him that some of his supporters in that area won't be able to get out to the ballot box? >> are you worried that some people here won't be able to vote? >> look, voting is the least of it right now. they got to vote. they want to vote because it's very important, but they have to survive. >> he holds this latino round table later today it. actually was supposed to happen back when hurricane helene hit. and he will go back to north carolina. once again, just showing how critical that state is for his path to victory. back to you. >> steve: aishah, a quick question for you. it's two weeks before the election she, kamala harris, is essentially taking the day off from the campaign trail. she is not going to be in a battleground state. she is going to be in washington.

explain the philosophy behind that because you would think she should be out shaking hands, kissing babies, stuff like that. >> aishah: well, i wish i was covering her campaign a little bit because i would try to find out if i wonder if they are recalibrating a little bit right now. because we are in this final sprint. and she hasn't been able to break away in these polls at all. and that should be a concern. as far as the former president, who i am covering every single day, am exhausted covering him because he does not slow down. yesterday was a whirl wind three different stops in one day. here we are in miami and he is back to work again this morning. so he's not slowing down at least when it comes to the former president. >> brian: aishah, last question. i'm trying to find out where the statement came from. kamala harris said that donald trump is too exhausted to finish interviews. is it from the dan bongino interview when he had to leave to go to the next interview? where did that -- where was that from? like why did she say that? do you know?

>> well, you know, i don't know what interview it was specifically. if it was t the dan bongino onei know he called the harris campaign out on that. he said the former president sat with him even longer past the allotted time. sat with him and took more questions and then eventually dan was like i think you probably have to go. which he tends to do right? when he gets comfortable in interviews, i have interviewed him before. and we went over our allotted time because he wanted to keep answering my questions and eventually i had to say mr. president, i have got to get on tv. i have got to get out of here. i don't know where that's coming from. i have seen him do a ton of introduce. he took a bunch of questions yesterday in asheville as well. >> brian: thanks so much. >> lawrence: dishonest. >> brian: some critiques you can have each other. doesn't want to debate and too exsauced to do interviews. how do you explain that? >> lawrence: tactic is to debate

the former president. down in the polls. feels like she did great in the debate. she wants him to do a liberal interviews with liberal reerts will saying is he going to bring in the military and national abortion ban. project 2025. all of that is not true. as far as early voting is concerned, many of us have looked up where we can early vote. what day. here in new york, it's not until, i think it's this coming saturday. so the numbers aren't even in for many of these states. so far 15 million voters have already cast their ballot. the shift really happened in 2020. it was after the pandemic or during the pandemic people were scared to go out and vote. so they were voting mail-in ballots. and now we have realized it's pretty easy to do it. can you vote early and don't have to wait in line. seeing record numbers even after the hurricane helene in north carolina, 353,000 ballots were cast on thursday. that's a record. in louisiana on friday when it

opened 177,000 ballots cast. that's a record. we are seeing in georgia. we have been talking about that. every single day almost since last tuesday, they have almost seen records. >> steve: this flies in the face historically the two parties have operated. the republicans generally show up on election day. and the democrats have had a better get out the vote early kind of campaign. but, ainsley you are absolutely right. people come on election day and might not be able to vote. that's why the anybody's are so high. north carolina, where the democrats are still a little ahead. although the democrats historically have not won that stated since 2008 with barack obama. what the republicans are doing is by getting more people out now, out early, then on election day, what they can do is they can encourage infrequent voters. and those are the people who when they ask the voters, you know, the pollsters, are you a likely voter? are you a registered voter?

well, i don't really know if i'm going to show up. i don't really vote that often. those are the ones that trump thinks he can pick up. those, given the fact that it is going to be a photo finish. those are the people who could actually put him back in the white house. >> lawrence: candidates are making final stops. one of the centerpieces of that is the barbershop. we learned yesterday that kamala harris' campaign went to portfolio have a conversation. only thing is kamala harris didn't show up to the barbershop. just the campaign did. donald trump did and we have a little bit more of that interview. >> lawrence: got a real estate guy. he's in the profession as you. what's your question for the president? >> competitor of mine. regulations and all the stuff you have to go through. it's like 30% the cost, it's like paperwork. we're going to get rid of a lot of that. >> brian: when it comes to early voting, too. so you have in the battleground states, 5.3 million voting. last time the breakdown was early votes. 52-27. it was in favor of the democrats. because republicans were reluctant to do it. thought break down is much more encouraging for the right. 47% of the early votes have been for the democrats. 33% have been for republicans. if people are listening to the president's new message this time around, vote early, vote when you can, just make sure you vote. >> steve: brian, to your point about early voting and everything else, we have seen as we put up the polls, we have seen that kamala harris has an advantage with women. donald trump has a big advantage with men. here's the question. who is voting early right now? so far in georgia, 55% ever the ballots returned have been by women in north carolina, 52% and in michigan 56%.

and when you look at the number of eligible women who voted in 2020. it was 68%, a 65% men. so, once again, whether it is the infrequent voter or the gender question, the people who can get out the vote are going to be the ones -- >> ainsley: know what you are voting for. know your propositions too. later in the show talking about prop 1 here in new york. it's an equal rights and so you see that prop and you normally are going to vote yes, you want equal rights for everyone. but in there -- we'll get into the details later, it's saying yes, i allow my child to have gender transition surgery without me being notified. the school is pushing it. you have to read the fine print. >> lawrence: it's become a major issue. loss to your point, ainsley. i hope people don't get comfortable just because you are seeing that the republicans are having a lead right now. things could change in the election. you can be bet yourself that the

democrats' ground operation are going to double their efforts. so don't get comfortable. still go out and show up to vote. >> brian: let's talk about some of the narratives out there. who are you going to vote for the 5 #-year-old turned 60-year-old vice president who wants to be the agent of change even though she is in power or the president who wants to make history first time since grover cleveland to lose and come back and win. it's also important to at least know what they stand for. three narratives out there that stand out that just don't seem to be true when it comes to project 2025. the president turning the military on his political enemies. and there is some others. yeah, abortion ban, the abortion ban. >> ainsley: national abortion ban. >> brian: here's a little of the attacks going on the former president. >> it's also disrespectful to our military, to ask our military to -- to react or to do something in such political -- in such a political way.

have been those assassination attempts and one of them almost worked, they just continue to do that because that's their game plan. and you have got that frankenstein machine, essentially, on the democratic side, because you have got the white house team, you have the joe biden wilmington team and then you have got the kamala harris team and you have got the obama team and all trying to work together. and going back to the original playbook. >> ainsley: it is just lies -- they are just lies. project 2025. heritage foundation. that was not donald trump. he never even read it, he said. not involved. not involved in that at all. the national abortion ban, if you watch all these ads that kamala harris is putting out. trump national abortion ban. not true. he is sending the abortion issue back to each state. if you live in new york. you probably always get an abortion. if you live in alabama, maybe not. i don't know. it's whatever you decide as the voter of the state. that has nothing to do with donald trump. >> lawrence: actually getting pushback from the pro-life community because is he against that. >> ainsley: he explained what he actually means when they're
