mountains. it is so cool and pretty. what are your neighbors saying? are people coming back? what are the hotels like for people who want to go and support your town? >> blowing rock was relatively unscathed through the whole helene disaster. we were open throughout but not very many people were here in town for the first weeks. this is our most important month of the year. so it's really a big deal. about a week and a half ago as we let everyone know the town is reopened, people are definitely coming back. we're thrilled to see that and appreciate that so much. of course, the tourists are what keep us going and why we're here. so we're very thrilled that people -- it's not going to be the october normal but improving. >> ainsley: which stretch is open? >> the best stretch. it opened from blowing rock to the beautiful viaduct. the colors are amazing on up to
