and that right there is reflection of the potential for this to go either way when it comes to the popular vote. pete: normally don't care about national polls consider the course trump down the entire time now you're at 48-48 indicative of a real swing in polls. real polls that matter are swing state polls which also show trump ahead. or tight, and especially when you contrast with 2016 where he was behind in all of these polls significantly in some spots wisconsin down by ten points coming up to election day and we won the state if these polls -- rachel: if you were on the ground pete you knew -- pete: that's where it is tight but the 2024 has a feeling a lot like 2016 if you're on the ground it feels different and part of the difference is the campaign styles too. so donald trump has been at mcdonald's now he's with joe rogen we encourage you to watch all three hours it is fascinating we've combed through it. here's a portion of him breaking down his popularity, some of

e-mailed out information that he's going to do a press release on the menendez case out of nowhere. does it a couple of days later, and then doesn't tell anybody anything. now, without having thoroughly carefully reviewed actual facts of the case, he's goapg to ask for resentencing apparently after a request of people like kim kardashian and rosie o'donnell two of the leading legal scholars in this nation. [laughter] >> that's -- that's a fair characterize if you can pick up the intended sarcasm i think the way this was thrown together dos reveal part of the motivation this came together really quickly thrown out there with a press conference quickly. but i want to ask you this because you're a prosecutor. set aside the motivations for just a moment of george gascón is it a just call for resentencing we've had a debate here this morning on "fox & friends" between two attorneys. do the menendez brothers with actual new evidence suggesting they were suggested to abuse by

their father deserve another look at their sentencing? >> so -- that's the big problem first of all, there's no new evidence whatsoever. if you look at the evidence that you have, the menendez brothers have a history particularly lyle of fabricating evidence in this case that's documented not my opinion but two courts that have reviewed it. the letter that you have this alleged letter it is a photo copy. it is undated. but more than that, both the cousin and eric testified at trial they never mentioned this letter. the reason hay didn't mention the letter will is it hadn't been written yet and worse the letter says allegedly it was sent eight months before the murders. problem is both of them testified that eric had not talked about the molestation for approximately eight years before the murder. so the problem with the letter is not only is it not credible that it was whether it was

will: harris campaign and hoping their blue wall holds up on election night but there are signs that it is cracking. pete: it is key to their entire strategy let's go off the wall show you what the blue wall is and what is raising alarms for

democrats so will except for 2016 right since 1992 in thes have carried all three of these states and it's been key to them when they win. >> the three states are what's known as the blue wall pennsylvania, michigan, and wisconsin. in order for kamala harris to win the presidency, she needs to win all three. she needs to win all three donald trump let's say he wins southern belt states which we talk about a lot as well he needs to win one of them in order to win one of them. as pete and i are presuming that southern states like georgia, arizona, nevada, north carolina go for donald trump. as you point out between 1992 and 2020, donald trump defeated clinton in the blue wall in 2016 broke it but between those years '92 and '22 it's solid blue. if you see you get a sense as we come down to end here. the campaigns are you're going to just watch. they're going to be camping out in three states harris playing

don't necessarily know who is up. in places like detroit she's play a play for black voters but still a lot of skepticism when it comes to voters and kamala harris. whfnlg you consider the margin which was not that much in -- 2020, that's a lot of folks, and a lot of votes. will: 93% in 2020 kamala harris currently sitting at 84. pete: power rankings moved it from them to tossup in michigan. will: move to pennsylvania where the cracking signs of concern for kamala harris. concern harris isn't doing enough to engage black voters and latino voters. in pennsylvania -- and the issue of fracking has been huge in pennsylvania. >> tons of controversy in pennsylvania about during covid how they change voting laws democrat went all in on the new voting laws. republicans said we're voting on election day on early voting there, still 60% democratic advantage. but a lot more republicans
