11:35 am
i think early in the night you'll see a number of states of all. the most interesting thing that happens early in the evening, it will be interesting to see virginia. virginia closes her polls at 7:00 p.m. virginia ought to be going for kamala harris. but, depending on the strength of the trump vote or the strength of the kamala harris belt will know how long a night it is or if the vote is shifting one way or the other to either of the candidates but shortly thereafter will start getting results of north carolina and georgia. those are really in the deep battleground states and will see the vote in either one of these folks is able to command a leader. most importantly whether the republicans have been successful in getting people to go and vote early. which is not something they did in 2020. they believe may be key to a victory this year. sue for a lot of other factors to print pennsylvania for example they're not allowed they do not start counting the absentee ballots until election

11:37 am
how did these polls work? and how sometimes you guys are getting a bad rap sometimes. but also how do you get it so right? >> the best kind of polls pick some kind of random sample for parade with a fox news poll that appears every month is that it basically gets a list of registered voters and draws a randomized sample of that list and then tries to contact the people on that list. and then makes sure a random sample because not everyone responsible. as a lot of statistical techniques beat that's basically what she's trying to do. and, as long as you think you have something that is a random sample that resembles the population at large, you probably have a good indication of how they are responding to your questions. which may be different from how they'rethey are going to act inw weeks. eric: that is interesting to
11:38 am
read what about that? i see poring over all the papers in the office analyzing. ththere's an important human factor against what everyone says this is basically a tight race. there's about 2% or 4% of voters so far appear to be undecided. we do not know how they're going to go but it's always been my contention that if you really do have a good pull those undecided people are telling you something. for most of the year i thought of people weren't saying they were for donald trump they want for donald trump even they said they were undecided, they decided not for trunk. now, i'm no longer sure of that. you see polls where they are tied with fox news poll has trump at 50 and harrison 48. does that remaining 2% are they harris voters? i'm not certain. think a lot of them are people who are thinking do i like donald trump? or do i not like donald trump to a like his policies into a vote for him?
11:39 am
i think that is going to be the big question we are going to answer during election night or election week in terms of who is an ex-president. >> finally in 2020 the polls did not reflect the strength of donald trump at that time. biden was ahead, further and drop them by smaller amounts is there like this secret of trump voters the opposite is with harris how does that? >> place your bets. both in 2016 is very much the case. based on the get out to vote effort bring his base out to the polls he was over perform the polls in both years in the general election. and the other hand this year in the primaries, we did a lot of polling.
11:40 am
trump always got his number or a little lower. he never outperform the polls this year. we do not know if that's a primary thing or 2024 thing. that is the difference between being optimistic about donald trump's performance on election night or being pessimistic or being optimistic about harris' on election night. so far i know be seen at the coffee machine down the hall, you're not getting any sleep on tuesday night? >> probably not. super of the fox news decision decks good to see you. >> a concert for a good cause tonight. next we will take a look at the concert for carolina. a night of music to help those who have lost so much and hurricane helene. here's to beating these two every thursday. help fuel today with boost high protein, complete nutrition you need, and the flavor you love. so, here's to now... now available: boost max!
