country right now. we're way ahead of where we were in 2016 or 2020. right now it looks when you combine the early vote and absentee votes we have an outright win in north carolina in election day. same thing in nevada and arizona. these numbers that we're looking at the real metrics we like what we're seeing. puts us in a very good position to win this thing on election day and we're going to work everything. >> you are saying going into election day you will have an outright lead? >> that's what it looks like in north carolina, arizona, nevada. >> bill: we'll watch that. >> dana: interesting. call for four. a map of states that president trump has visited in the last week. some of them we talked about all the time. the ones you just mentioned. but there are a couple of others including texas. we understand that was the joe rogan interview. also new york city. he was here, big event. is new york city on your map as
6:07 am
a possible win for president trump? >> it was a concert for america, right? this truly was a rally that talked to all of american people all across the country. we had every single network there. not just from america but all around the world. press credentials we had to give ute for that rally yesterday were as big as they were for the convention. this is a conversation that donald trump had with all of america yesterday from madison square garden and a homecoming and it was a great opportunity for him to be here. there is nothing more iconic. he grew up here. nothing more iconic that madison square garden. we have congressional races we need to win in new york. they're all very close. >> dana: it will determine the balance of power in the house. >> agree. the rally itself was about america and about talking to every american voter, every american family and it's really what he and jd vance are doing.
6:08 am
they'll be in every battleground states having conversations directly with american voters. >> bill: when you try to analyze the early vote, how do you answer this question? some say it's just a vote that was going to be in your column anyway and it just came in at an earlier stage. >> what we're seeing right now is we're not cannibalizing our election day votes. we're excited about the numbers of seeing that people who didn't vote in 2020. for example in nevada 16% of our early voters did not vote in 2020. north carolina that number is 18%. we see all across the country right now people who have not participated before are coming in. these are the low propensity and new voters coming into the system. we're not cannibalizing the election day voting which is very -- >> bill: what would you say about democrats and their numbers? >> we'll have to let them analyze their own numbers at this point in time. what i will say is this. in every battleground state that
6:09 am
has voting taking place right now we're doing better than we did in 2016 or 2020. >> dana: part of the reason could be trump chipping away at the democrats' hold on long-time voting blocks. blacks, harris down 13. hispanics she is down 18, jewish voters she is down eight and here even in new york as we mentioned she is down ten. just looking at this, people can look at the rally last night and have different opinions about it and say why did you need the comedian? unforced error, but i feel like tactically the trump campaign keeps beating her campaign to the ball. and i think these voters in these different groups are starting to notice that. when you look back on election day when we have you back to do analysis no matter how it goes. that's a change of ideological and other types of diversity for the republican party going forward. >> it is really significant and based on the fact that donald trump is talking to those voters
6:10 am
about the issues that they care about. there is no issue across the country that resonates more than inflation with grocery prices and gasoline and housing prices that have gone up 20 and 25 and even 50% for gasoline under kamala harris and her administration because she cast the tiebreaking vote on 2.5 trillion of spending. donald trump says he will bring prices down and end the invasion that we have coming across our southern border and we're going to protect americans, then people are resonating with that and we're seeing it in every one of those communities because they are affected the same way that every community across the country is. >> bill: i want to play this clip. a closing argument ad that apparently aired during a lot of the nfl football games on sunday. a clip now. >> we'll make america great again. >> i will fight for you with every breath and i will never let you down. ♪
6:11 am
>> bill: so that ad goes on and with the remaining eight days what should we expect from that closing argument and where will it be delivered? >> the closing argument is going to be that donald trump is going to secure or southern border, he is going to restore our economy, and he is going to make america strong. so that we can protect our interests and our allies across the world. it is remarkable to me nine years ago, a few blocks from here he came down that escalator said he would make america great again by doing those three things. by securing the southern border, restoring our economy and making sure we're strong enough to protect america and our allies. very consistent that he has been there since day one trying to make america great. kamala harris and her campaign are flailing right now. she is in free fall because they don't have a closing argument. for them to try these ridiculous insults and tropes that they are attacking the president with now shows you how weak their campaign is and they are not
6:12 am
closing with a good argument. >> see who is right in the end. >> dana: there are tough words about her last night, too. but nobody called her a fascist but a few other things. >> the key is she is the one as the border czar who let in 15 million illegal immigrants into this country and pose as a direct threat to america and the one that as the cass the tiebreaking vote on 2.5 billion worth of unnecessary spending that sent grocery and gasoline prices through the roof. >> dana: voters are saying from the beginning it's the he could than -- economy and they haven't been able to close on it. >> let us use our voices in these final days to make it plain to the men in our lives that we need to stand not with trump but with us. >> bill: that's the response from the harris campaign making their last-minute push to close the gender gap.

6:23 am
first two or three years of the harris campaign there were a lot of questions about her performance. one of the last sort of arguments from the pro-biden faction within the democratic party was he is the only person that can beat trump. implicit in that argument was the idea that harris couldn't. harris advisors, core inner circles that remember the naysayers and remember the doubters and like a lot of people in politics, i suspect they will have long memories, guys. >> dana: one of the things you wrote is that harris and emhoffer husband and sister and her husband have been taking note of biden advisors what they're saying and big dollar donors are doing. did this tension between the two of them exist before? >> maybe a little bit. a lot of the tension that was between the staffs was sort of brushed under and remember, harris had a lot of staff departures. a lot of this is coming to the front because we've had this
6:24 am
sort of stunning and shocking development in the campaign which is that the democrats switched out their nominee in a very compressed time schedule and now all of a sudden you have a lot of people that are currently working the white house that were say three or four months ago thinking about what kind of job they might get in a second biden administration if biden were to win. now they have to recalculate. yes, there is tension but i think overall there is this idea they need to defeat trump, that everyone wants to row in the same direction. the big ideological fractures within the democratic party have been swept under the rug. should harris win they will blossom and come out in the open and see an interesting transition especially on personnel matters while these ideological battles are fought out. >> dana: i have a question. at the ethel kennedy funeral, a lip reader says that biden says to obama, she is not as strong
6:25 am
as me. and he says i know. i don't know if that fueled tension. it might have. also she has been given multiple opportunities and pressed three times that i've seen on what she knew about biden's mental decline and stamina for the next four years and she has never once waivered. she has been extremely loyal to him to the point it is almost incredulous and unbelievable that she never saw anything that would give her cause for concern and all of a sudden june 27th there is a debate and he has a bad night? what about that? >> i would argue the counter hypothetical there, if harris were -- i don't know if it's true. if harris were to say his decline is -- she already has a challenge of sort of distancing herself from the president but also defending it. when you look at the interviews she has done she is both
