"fox & friends." we're two days out from the 2024 election. lawrence: we've got team coverage live across the campaign trail. steve: let's tell you who's in the boxes. lucas tomlinson up in the upper left-hand corner, jacqui heinrich, upper right-hand corner is in detroit following the harris campaign. carly carley shimkus is the lower left in pennsylvania with somebody dressed like donald trump -- [laughter] and we start in the last box right there -- ainsley: that's right. brian: right. we start with aishah hasnie hive in north carolina with the latest on the trump campaign. aishah. >> reporter: hey, good morning to you, friends. let's start here in north carolina where the campaign is extremely pleased about early voting. it's breaking records. a lot more republicans voting here than unaffiliated and democrats. that that's good news for the former president as he heads here later this afternoon. i can tell you that he is nonstop. he's going to to be doing seven rallies across four battleground

states in the next 48 hours. it's absolutely jam packed. and he's not just hitting those swing states, he's actually going after some of those lean blue states. he was in new mexico last week, he was in virginia last night talking to a big crowd in salem along with the governor there. he thinks that he can actually flip that state this year. listen. >> i'll tell you what, we win virginia, we win the whole thing without question. [cheers and applause] the whole thing. now it's very possible that without winning virginia we're going to win the whole thing too, but it'd be -- wouldn't it be cool? wouldn't it be nice? we gotta do it. we're going win virginia. >> reporter: now, you could actually hear in his final pitch the voters, he is messaging hard towards those suburban female voters. he's hoping the economy and border security will sway those, that voting bloc.

>> if they don't have me, they've got millions of people pouring through anding up to the suburbs. they say the suburb urban women, well, the suburbs are under under attack right now. when you're home in your house alone and you have this monster that got out of prison and he's got, you know, six charges of murdering six deferent people -- different people? i think you'd rather have trump. >> reporter: now, all of this comes as a new des moines register poll came out last night, a shock poll, showing harris beating trump by 3 points in iowa, normally a red state. that sent shock waves across the political spectrum. i was chatting with the campaign last night about this and, guys, heir calling this poll an outlier. they think while it might be close in the battleground states, sure, it is not close at all they think in iowa, and they're questioning really the timing of this poll's release, right before all the a sunday shows today. the campaign instead pointing to another poll writing: at the emerson college poll released

today far more closely reflects the state of the iowa electorate and with far more transparency in their methodology. that has trump up by 10 points. but i can tell you the campaign in terms of the battleground states including here in north carolina feel very, very good about this low propensity voters, brian, you were talking about the unaffiliated -- excuse me, the undecided voters? not too many of those people left. they probably just don't want to vote for either candidate. the campaign has been targeting low propensity voters, people who don't normally come out. they've been trying to register these voters to only out and vote early. brian: being that they're coming out three times in 48 hours, does that show a concern that maybe the polls are them up but maybe internally they don't? >> reporter: i don't think that that they are projecting concern at all. every time i talk to anyone if in this campaign, a senior official whether it's onnd background or on the record, it's always, they're always projecting confidence. they feel very strong about

their internal polling, internal numbers. we haven't seen those numbers ourselves, but with they feel incredibly strong in those battle ground states. and if he's spending time in places like virginia and new mexico, a lot of people have been giving him criticism about that, it means he feels strong about states like north carolina that he's won twice before, right? is he thinks that he can keep it this sometime. steve -- this time. steve: all right, aishah, thank you very much. within the last two hours, the final new york times-sienna poll came out. and just as we've been talking, it's pretty much a dead heat. she's picked up in a couple of spots, he's picked up in a spot or two. right now it's all within the margin of error. donald trump is leading arizona by 4. she's leading in georgia by is -- by 1. he's leading in michigan by 1. leading in nevada by 3, and north carolina she's leading by 3. pennsylvania, even. wisconsin, harris up by3. buts what is interesting is the late breakers. the people who a month if ago

said we're undecided. right now of the 8 8% that identified themselves as late breakers, principle who decide concern people who decide in the last day or two, she's winning that group 55-44. but here's the key, there are sill more late deciders because 11%, undecided. that's down from 16% last month. so there's still more than 10% have not decided. and so has why the next 48 hours are very important. brian: and that does not take in early voting, correct? that's just a poll. steve: right. brian: so early voting could be -- steve: it does take in early voting because they say have you early voted? yeah, i did, and this is what i thought -- brian: so it does take in early voting. so if you look at nevada where more republicans have shown up than democrats which has given them a lot of encouragement, that'll be the first time harris

has led nevada in weeks. ainsley: i think he has seven more rallies, and she said when he thank you talks about the economy, we're better off a under me than we were under kamala harris. the dial shows that the audience likes that more than focusing on other things, and the audience hates it when the democrats call republicans or donald trump a nazi, fascist, garbage. lawrence: doing something new in start thing every rally by saying are you better off -- ainsley: smart to do that. leadership health insurance i think that's the message. anyway, carley shimkus is live in pennsylvania ahead of trump's rally talking to supporters who are already lined up, because i think it starts at 10 a.m., carley, right? >> reporter: yeah, that's right. donald trump has stops in north carolina and georgia, but first he's doing -- going to be in pennsylvania. it's safe to say this is one of his last rallies ever, so how does it feel to the to see the former president speak at one of his last rallies before the

election? >> trump! trump! trump! >> reporter: i've been talking to some of the people in the crowd including this wonderful lady right here. you're voting for donald trump because you're a mom and you're a military spouse. >> i am. i'm a military spouse. we need to rebuild our military. what we have right now is our military is a catastrophe. we need to put america first, take america back. we need to send illegals back, and that's what we have to do because the illegals are overcrowding our classrooms. and what we cannot allow is the children to have 32 to 1 in the classroom. how can a child get a proper education in the united states of america with that? >> reporter: so that's why you're voting for donald trump. i was also talking with these wonderful people. we've been talking about the price of groceries and how expensive things are. how do you feel about that? >> i think it's outrageous that, you know, families are struggling just to put food on the table. i went to, i went to burger king

yesterday just at a soccer tournament, $15 for just a cheeseburger and french fries and a drink. >> reporter: i it wasn't like that four years ago. >> no. and, you know, grocery store, $100 for two little bags with no meat. >> reporter: so that's what's motivating you to come to this rally and vote for donald trump. what's on-- on your mind, sir? if i also see you have a dave mccormick sticker on. there's also an important senate race. >> yes, indeed. we've got to get casey out this. we've just got to to. get out there and vote. please vote. if you're registered, don't stay home on the couch, get out there and vote. >> reporter: or and i just want to talk to nick real quick. my friend nick, we've made friends, and you're the member of a. union -- >> -- 31, and i'm a proud member of the union, local 3 -- 731 and a marine, okay? if. [laughter] all right. we go now to senior white house correspondent jacqui heinrich who's in michigan this morning following the harris campaign. >> reporter: good morning, guys. the vice president's really trying to get creative in the final moment manies of the campaign. for instance, air force two was

rerouted last night for a detour in new york for an appearance on snl. the press that were on the plane didn't even know about this until someone came to the back and told them that you're not actually going to michigan, we're first going to to new york. they didn't even have internet to report it until they got on the ground. here's what happened last night. >> it is nice to see you, kamala. >> it is nice to see you, kamala. and i'm just here to remind you, you got this. because you can do something your opponent cannot do, you can open doors. [laughter] [cheers and applause] >> i see what you did there, like with a garbage truck, right? ad that's going to play during nfl games including when the green bay packers face off against another swing state team, the detroit lions. >> we see in our fellow americans neighbors, not enemies. we believe in each other. >> reporter: the unity message comes on the heels of two big harris supporters, mark cuban and president biden, grabbing headlines themselves for insutting women and trump supporters -- insulting. it also follows other criticism that ads bought in michigan and pennsylvania have vastly different messages about the war in gaza targeting jewish and arab a-american voters. but the campaign's expressing confidence saying late deciders are breaking for harris by a double-digit margin. enter we're seeing women voting in record numbers in the early vote. we're seeing the trump campaign already starting to worry about some of their coalition not turning out in the early vote. and we're seeing late breakers coming our way, undecided voters

are making up their minds and swinging towards vice president harris. >> reporter: now, the campaign says that they're on track to knock on 5 million coors and have 1 million conversations in pennsylvania alone and across the battle ground states they've already knocked on 13 if million doors. so they're really just trying to get out the vote in these last couple of days, guys. steve: shockingly, she showed up at "saturday night live" across the street, actually in that building right there. did they invite donald trump? do we know that? >> reporter: i don't know that. i did see something come across my e-mail saying that they didn't think that trump was going to be going on, something from the trump campaign reacting. but i'm not sure if snl extended the e invite to the other side or not. i'll find out and get back to you next hour. steve: thank you very much. you've got an assignment. join us from the white house as president biden has no public events scheduled with just two days until the election. are they a little upset with the president, lucas? >> reporter: that might be the understatement of the campaign season there, lawrence. good morning and happy sunday to everybody. great to see everybody here. well, two weeks ago president biden said he wanted to lock up donald trump. of then last week he called trump supporters garbage. then he said the following which raised eyebrows in his hometown of scranton. viewers -- viewer discretion is advised. >> there's one more thing rump and his republican friends want to do. they want another giant tax cut for the wealthy. now, i know some of you guys are tempted to think it's macho. i'll tell you whatting man, when i was in scranton, we used the a little trouble going down to the plot once in a while. [laughter] but i'm serious. these are the kind of guys you like to smack in the ass. [laughter] [applause] >> reporter: and here was vice president harris yesterday in

atlanta. >> so, atlanta, we have three days to get this thing done. [cheers and applause] and no one can sit on the sidelines. let's spend the next three days knowing that when we look back on these three days, we will have no regrets about what we could have done. >> reporter: and recall when kamala harris was speaking on the ellipse, president biden said the following on that zoom call with latino voters -- >> just the other day a speaker at his rally called puerto rico a floating island of garbage. the only garbage i see floating out there is his supporters. >> reporter: which drew this rebuke from harris a short time later -- >> first of all, he clarified his comments. but met me be clear, i strongly disagree with any criticism of people based on who they vote for. >> reporter: widen has never -- biden has never clarified those comments himself out loud, only via a post on

twitter. who would have thought two days before election day we'd be talking about garbage in this now-famous apostprothe my in an official white house -- the beginning of football season, as jackie mentioned, scooped me, this is battle of the swing states, detroit versus green bay. president biden will be in wilmington today. there's no plans for him to return to the campaign trail before election day. guys? steve: lucas, i know you're on social media a lot. have you noticed there are a number of people who think joe biden is actually trying to hurter -- hurt her? >> reporter: we've seen the conspiracies, steve, and there's no question, you know, there's been a lot of statements that have, you know, raised eyebrows over the past couple of weeks beginning when president biden was in new hampshire and he said he wanted the lock donald trump up. he later clarified and said politically. then we have the garbage comment and then yesterday i won't even

repeat what he said, but he was talking about slapping someone in the posterior. ainsley: posterior -- [laughter] brian: lucas, was that not in the prompter? he wasn't reading the prompter when he said that? >> reporter: it didn't appear to be. his jaw was pretty clenched, so there was some anger in there. he was really leaning into it. steve: hey, lucas, out of curiosity. it's 7:18 at the white house. how many other people are there today? i mean, nobody works, right? >> reporter: i had to turn the lights on this morning, steve. it's just us -- [laughter] a couple colleagues. steve: i bet. all right. thank you, sir. >> reporter: thank you. brian: by the way, some people that have looked at on the kamala harris side, jon favreau, a great speech writer for obama, i think at least two of those years but now he's got a successful podcast, he basically said joe biden should not be on the campaign trail. i appreciate what you did, you're done. you're actually hurting the

cause. lawrence: he also said it with all the rest of the surrogates as well, about staying on message. listen, i know that they aren't the former president, barack obama, but the obama bros have been spot on about their critique and at least the thought process of the former president. of remember, they were the ones encouraging joe biden to get with out of the race as well. and lo and behold -- ainsley: did y'all see the at a las poll over the weekend? yesterday i was looking at it, and donald trump is winning all of the swing states. and atlas poll was the most accurate knoll 2020. -- poll in 2020. steve: ultimately, if you're in a swing state, actually, if you're not, here in new york city there are so many ads for both sides. actually, her side more than his side. each campaign is spending hundreds of millions of dollars in this final running up to the election on tuesday, and is what they do is they are so careful about their message.

but then when one of the surrogates, you know, goes in a ditch, next thing -- ainsley: like cuban? steve: man, we just spent $100 million to say this, and that person -- ainsley: that's why anything can happen in these last few days. lawrence: to cnn's credit, they did a big analysis on kamala harris' saying one thing to jewish community -- ainsley: yes, i saw that. lawrence: -- ask and saying another thing in dearborn to the arab voters as well. it's just so funny -- ainsley: she's a chameleon, yeah. steve: and the trump campaign ran one of her ads in the other place where it wasn't supposed to run. lawrence: exactly. brian: joe biden he's got 40% approval rating. every time he talks, they see the people responsible for it. and when other people say kamala harris and in the vice president, then she keeps herself away from it. that's why the trump team would be good every day to bring up vice president harris. anne iowans yes. i'm running against the current vice president.

were we better off four years ago? brian: she wants to turn the page. steve: that's right. so she's running this 2-minute ad today during the game between the lions and the packers, both swing state teams. todd piro was at the ohio-penn state game yesterday, talks to the bun of to voters. -- bunch of voters. here is what they had to say. >> reporter: colleges and liberals through the our country are liberal bastions. is this campus pulling for kamala harris? >> most likely, yes. >> reporter: there are so many reports nationally that trump is getting the young men, kamala's getting the young women. on a campus like this, are you seeing that same spread? >> i actually am not. i've seen women wearing their trump gear, their kamala gear. it's very split. it's very -- honestly, i feel like it could go either way. >> reporter: who are you voting for and why? >> i voted for president donald j. trump because i believe his policies on immigration, the economy would be best for us.

>> me personally, probably kamala. i think both have good ideas and bad ideas. >> the young men in our generation are definitely more favoring of trump because we just don't feel like we belong in the democratic party. >> reporter: pennsylvania women could determine this election. the ladies that you know, are they mostly voting for trump? if are they mostly voting for harris? >> sadly, i think many of my friends are voting for harris simply because they don't like trump. >> honestly, i think it's probably 50-50. in the friend group i have. everybody has their different reasons. i mean, everybody says were you better off four years ago, and the answer is, yes, i was. steve: yeah. comes down to the late breakers. lawrence: it's incredible, how close it is, and the turnout. of it's just anybody's game can. anybody that's telling you they have it all figured out who's going to win, you shouldn't listen to them because it's so close right now. brian: -- i was visiting with

different with donald trump being on the ballot? enter well, there's so much that's going to be different with donald trump, and it's just because i believe people are seeing that there are serious issues to be a had. and, yeah, you can go on snl and yuk it up, but so close to an election? i don't think so. you ought to be making your major points. for example, here in virginia, as you mentioned it's very important, what's happening overseas. 95% of all international communications is through undersea cables. furthermore, 95% of commercial cargo goes through the seas. now, here many virginia we have -- in virginia, we have the largest naval base in the world, and our united states ships must be given free passage. and, by the way, we're not asking, we're telling you, you're going to make this happen. so we need a president who understands this, and i believe donald trump does. lawrence: so, lieutenant governor, when you look at this new coalition of republicans, or i should just say trump voters

because it doesn't necessarily mean they're going to vote for another republican, but you see the supporters, and this polling is just incredible. looking at it right now, 62% of black males voting here, but 25% voted for trump. now, compare that to 2020, joe biden had 88% of black males, and trump had 7% of black males. what is happening? >> well, i think it's exciting, what's happening. i mean, lawrence, people look like you and me, and immediately they would look at us and say, oh, they're democrats, automatically. lawrence, what kind of power do we have politically? none. they looked at other folks and they don't know who they are. and so they've got to go and win them. they've got to go and make the case. i tell you, we're finally say, no more -- saying, the no more. no more are we going to allow the oak key doak. you come and can ask for our vote on election day, and we never see you again. but you tells us vote for us

because we will help you. no. we want to know what are your policies. how are you going to make my life easier? for god sake, life is hard enough. i tell you one thing that black men, black women, people all over know, even the democrats know the minute you elect a democrat, money is coming out of your pocket in some way, shape or form. if they tax businesses, guess who's going to pay that in you, the consumer. stuart: i mean, lieutenant governor -- lawrence: are you just hit on the issue that i've been hearing in bar we are shops across the country, people are telling me they had more money in their pocket under donald trump than they do right now. we'll see what happens on election day. i'm going to be looking at the numbers very closely. there's some rumor that you may be the next governor of virginia as well, so we're going to be looking at your career as well. thank you so much for giving us some time. >> thank you. the only poll that matters is election day. get out and vote. vote for policies that will support your pocketbook and the

commander in chief. it's exactly what the current administration doesn't have, exactly what kamala hasn't had. i've never been more proud of that man right there. the guy is working tirelessly. the guy just never stops, and he wants to save this country. he wants to save the greatest nation on earth. aaron aaron what is the conversation like with him when you're a few day days away, to make sure he stays on message, talks about the economy, things that really resonate with the voter? >> well, ainsley, it's kind of surreal for all of us. i kid my last rally yesterday, my last kind of solo rally yesterday. this has been a 10-year journey for us and, you know with, it's winding down in terms of the campaign side. at the same time it's so exciting because, you know, if we win on tuesday, we can actually fix this country. he can fix this country, he will. he'll take care of the economy, he'll stop the wars, he'll stop the blood shed, 450e8 stop the invasion on the southern border, stop fentanyl which is killing so many people in this country. 3 20,000 kids, to be exact.

i've had four friends of who have lost kids to fentanyl. and we can fix these. in a way it's bittersweet because here's ten years of our life, and he's been doing this. he's done hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of them, and it's really created a family out there. this is not a political movement. he's created a family of americans who love this country, who love our flag. at the same time, it's beautiful because people get out ott -- to the polls, if they vote, he can do amazing things for this country, for this nation. he can save the greatest country that's ever existed, and he will. and he'll do so better than anybody, and everybody knows that. it's really kind of bittersweet in the last few days. brian: hey, eric, just to bring up snl, i know the president is suing cbs for $10 billion over changing the answers that kamala harris gave in her "60 minutes" interview. and if with abc, fact checks ends up wrong, and then lorne michaelss just said a couple of months ago, you can't bring the

actual candidates who are running on because of election laws and equal time proto visions. yet not only was she allowed on, the person imitating her, rudolph, comes out and says basically, you've got to win. i'm voting for you, you've got to win. it wasn't even humor and you could take what you will, it was a campaign ad. isn't this astounding to you even after ten years? >> brian, that one man in our family has fought the media every single day. 92 of of the mainstream media with's coverage on donald trump has been negative and that's despite the largest tax cuts, best economy, lowest unemployment, peace in the middle east, rewill liberties liberty, protection of our constitution. i could go on and and on. everybody knows who the mainstream media is and, frankly, that's why the podcast world has become so big. when you see him go on twitter spaces with elon musk, he had, what, 22. 1 billion impressions of that podcast. you see row began the other day.

you saw what happened in the debate where it was a 3 on 1, and you've seen that every single time. does this surprise us? no. "saturday night live" has lost its spark and. when i was a kid, i woofed it all the time -- watched it all the type. it's totally lost its spark. there's no question they are effectively the pr arm of the harris campaign, and they always have been. at the same time, you know, again, americans read through it. they see that their pocketbook is not doing well. they see that life has become unaffordable. they see that they can't refinance their home because interest rates are 8% now when they used to be 2.5% under my father, that gas and eggs have trimmed, auto insurance has literally gone up by 100%. guys, people feel it in their guts and i don't care how many kind of parody shows, what kind of coverage they get, people can read through the mainstream media at this point after a decade of these shams and this nonsense, you know? and it's caused them the lose all credibility.
