down-ballot races dave and maureen. >> good morning, just to begin, georgia voters and most have cast their ballots breaking records 4 million early voters and georgia secretary of state says about a million people expected in-person today and that will be a close race and the battleground or two also the control of congress at stake. let's take a look at the senate although democrats narrowly control it 51-49. the republicans are favored to take control next year. this will determine which party holds the power or support the block at that next president's agenda. they need to wins house seats to gain control from republicans. of some of the house, republicans hold the majority with 220 feet while democrats hold 212 seats. they are currently three vacant seats. there are a couple of key senate

toss-up races to watch, michigan, ohio, pennsylvania, wisconsin, they have been consistently tied the last weeks of the election. the key senate race has the election cycle has been focusing on mostly mission to make michigan, montana, wisconsin, ohio and montana and the seats most likely to flip. i want to know president trump won ohio and west virginia back in 2020 and that presidential election. in the meantime the g.o.p. has a shot easily picking up seats in michigan, ohio, pennsylvania, wisconsin. back out here live in georgia, the latest numbers show 81 million people have voted nationwide across the u.s. the polls open 7:00 a.m. and expected to be a very busy day, carley. >> todd: less than two hours away and both candidates to sway voters and key battleground states as we know by now including those who have actually moved there from very,

earlier tonight family wealth from states like michigan or pennsylvania, the ones that will ultimately decide the presidential contest. these states are important because if it looks like donald trump is holding close to kamala harris in a state like virginia, that means there is a high chance he could have an electoral college's. this is not a state that typically goes red. the fact he is polling close in that state is telling. the other two things the sun and the house races. if you are a republican feel good about ted cruz, rate that those pickups with west virginia guarantee control of the senate. that doesn't include the swing races such as ohio and michigan where donald trump could pull that republicans across the finish line if he finish is strong there. in them by house, the house will be a tighter contest than anyon.

in the state and particularly looking at when it comes to the house is new york state. new york was instrumental in 2022 to help republicans keep control of the house. it will be instrumental again. there are several important house races polling closely. >> todd: "the wall street journal" is fascinating and new york, california, you have illinois and deeply states, people were tired of paying the taxes and the higher cost of living. they go to at the states and it read chandra's the electoral college. in the end, could california and new york in illinois and depp the presidency for donald trump when the map shakes out? what did you think? >> there is actually an argument those blue states you mentioned are over counted in the electoral college right now. the u.s. census bureau and made it back in 2020 it actually undercounted florida's population growth.

so florida should gently have more electoral college votes than it does. that change was not made in time for this election. if this race is very, very close as many expect it to be, you can expect losses from the republican side challenging the census count to see if anything can be changed wrecked arrow red retroactively. >> carley: six phil nagy new hampshire, all 26 votes went to joe biden. about three votes today went to kamala harris and three donald trump. i know it is just exposed, but what do you think about this return and if it is a sign of things to come. >> i can, it is surprising a state like new hampshire is even as close as it is. the trump campaign has been leaning in and the final days on some of the sleeper states like new hampshire and virginia. let's say he is not able to break the blue wall and kamala harris holds michigan, wisconsin cotillion

making sure we got people out to vote. if anything, regardless of the poll, get to the poll especially razor-thin margins that there have been all throughout this election. speeches so the balance of power in the house of utmost importance and all eyes on your district congresswoman. in 2020 you won have a seat by six votes and in 2022 you increase to 20,000 votes. but if election analyst to be believed, this will be a very tight race you are locked and right now. how are you feeling today, and why so? speak of this is always going to be a tight race. this is a swing district. there are several things that have happened. so the state passed a heartbeat deal and it last year held up by the supreme court four months ago. you have a very popular governor on the ballot with me in 2022. right now in iowa, just the president and the congresspeople.
