to pay attention to heard him in a lot of -- a lot of support inside of the new administration. and that tweet, that tweet or that post by truth by president trump about haley and pompeo, was a surprise because usually you don't post who is out. but not -- rachel: why did he do that? pete: public speculation about positions for both of them that he wanted to end. i also think in the case of nicky haley there was things that surfaced that he said in 2023 when he was thinking about running when you're thinking about being a candidate you take a different approach which trump world taken issue with as well. so interesting development but not totally surprising. rachel: i had heard from read some things from people saying, you know if he wanted to show unity, he should reach out to that wing of the party that sort of neocon wing of the party but there was a lot of pushback from the base as you said. when those names started floating and so he put an end to

bigots terrible people who voted this way and donald trump is a threat and that the american people need to look at themselves and see what they did wrong. there are other democrats who are very openly having this conversation. like gosh our policies were out of line with millions and millions of mainstream americans who felt that certain factions and policies of this party have gone too far and we have to be honest with ourselves. we and some of them are doing that publicly one of the guests today congressman dean phillips mounted a primary challenge against president biden because it would be disastrous to run again because he's publicly saying we have a major problem to discuss here. will: you brought up the supreme court or -- at least pete brought up the supreme court saying you would be a great supreme court justice. rachel: would be -- will: there might be an opening for you to be nominated there's rumors that many democrats are perhaps pressuring joe biden or first sonia sotomayor to replace

his second term. pete: this surpasses george w. bush previous reported and surge in support mainly boiled down to one issue, the economy. will: joining us now with more trump 2024 senior advisor daniel alvarez great to have you only the program if you could talk to us about what you're seeing with these numbers in these gains among latino voters. >> well, president trump, obviously, had a historic win across the country not only winning the popular vote and every single battle ground state as it was called today but he also performed inkreddably well with hispanic voters. having huge swings, he had a 19 point swing nationally among hispanic voters and swings double digits in every battle ground state from ten to 20 points, florida, pennsylvania, nevada, arizona, even texas. and i think it came down to treating our community as whole voters.

pete: beaten many and entrenched incumbent defeated counted out by a lot of folks. he ran a great race and won. will: let's move over to the second part which was balance of power in the united states house of representatives. as it stands right now, it is 202 democrats, 213 republicans. still several outstanding seats. pete: we weren't sure the story of election night everyone was focused on the white house then it became like the senate majority is in republican handle. this is the open question. that was this became the question that night and still is. need to get to 218, and there are number of races where republicans had pickups that will get them to that point. will: in michigan, you can see this is one of the big pickups pete -- the republican see -- crime border, and debt big issues in that race. and we move over to nebraska, nebraska too -- don bacon there were races where the incumbent is facing tough challenge or this was one in nebraska. one of the more contested

districts in nebraska. will: then in pennsylvania wins all night in pennsylvania from the presidency, the house, and the senate as well. another big pickup in district 8 here in pennsylvania. >> defeated a seven term incumbent and matt right economy and immigration, immigration big issue in pennsylvania. shows you how that really is an issue that resonates. will: we talk about the trifecta, of course, is the presidency. but let's not overlook the ballot initiatives underneath as well that were happening across the states first of all who lost. well, how about 12 of the 25 george soros funded length district attorneys across the country lost notably by the way the one everyone is come to know, george gascón in los angeles. pete: he didn't just lose he lost big. he lost by 24 points. this is heralded as a future of social justice, justice where criminals get the benefit of the doubt. well the voters spoke
