for donald trump as well. they're part of the explanation for how trump won. listen. >> president trump obviously had a historic win across the country not only winning the popular vote in every single battleground state as it was called today but he also performed incredibly well with hispanic voters. i think it came down to treating our community as whole voters, not just talking to us about immigration, not just talking to us about the economy, but talking to us about every single issue that matters hole holistically. >> kamala harris had a problem with catholics, record hostility toward catholics that she only made worse, meanwhile i think president trump spoke to the concerns of many workers and families that just want to return to normal. they don't want radical abortion. they don't want catholic hospitals being shut down and they want normal gas prices and normal grocery prices, a normal

border and normal girls sports. >> that's the premise i think of fundamental of conservatism for look time is treating people as individual souls, created in the likeness and image of god. you want to unleisure ability as an individual based on your passions to reach the american dream. when you put people in boxes and say you're a certain way so you need to vote a certain way and we'll shame you if you don't vote that way or cater to this small part of who you are and you have to ignore the stuff you disagree with us on, not only does that offend people but you lose, you lose again and again because they can't reckon with that. >> i had a fascinating conversation on the will cain show, breaking down why it happened and why pollsters didn't see it happening. she was saying something similar. pollsters live in new york or d.c. they see the world through the lens of a spreadsheet, columns and in other words latino vote, black vote, this vote, right, and those columns, when

politicians read that stuff and target stuff that way. democrats have gone all-in on identity politics. it ignores the real worlds of neighborhoods and communities where the columns go like this, they're intertwined the kids sports and school and you have common threads that make up a community and make up a nation and you're not just a column on a spreadsheet. and how ugly and dumbed down it is to think of the country in that way as a number. you're an entry. rachel: towards the end of the campaign when the kamala harris campaign realized oh, boy we have a lot of trouble with black men, one of the things they deployed obama who shaped and scolded them but the other thing that happened was kamala came out with a black economic agenda, do you remember that? it was so co condescending, so . that was the beauty of what donald trump said. he said you're all american, all

it's very clear from the statement that donald trump put out on truth social yesterday where he said i'm not going to have -- who was it? nikki haley and pompeo, thank you very much, long show. and then he put that out which is not very traditional and there seems to be like a battle inside, like whose ideological views are going to show up in this administration. tell me what the criterias are that you're seeing on the transition team, how you're processing people's names and resumes through and also just how important is loyalty in this, people who have stood by the president for a long time? , through thick and thin. >> yeah, sure. president trump is obviously going through and making these decisions very carefully. what we saw in election night was this very, very clear mandate coming from the american people, this overwhelming victory that was a resounding

rejection of the neo con war mongers who like to see our country in a constant state of war, who support feeding the military industrial complex. it was a resounding rejection of the washington establishment that puts their own power over the interests of the people. so president trump is coming into this with the majority of the american people standing alongside him and those who he is bringing with him into this administration i can assure you will be people who are committed to executing his vision, his promise to the american people. so a lot of people talk about loyalty and how important loyalty is. yes, well, it's loyalty to the american people, making sure that the policies that president trump has outlined throughout his campaign that his administration will execute, will always be made within that context that he has talked about since 2016, putting the interests of the american people first.

they're reacting to president trump's win of the popular vote, win of the electoral vote in that they still think we, the american people, are stupid. they think we are garbage. and we can see this by them calling us that, essentially, calling those of us who supported president trump and who voted for him as, you know, we're nazis, we're racists, we're sexist, we're bigots still after the election they're doing this. when you see people like governor gavin newsom and other democrat governors saying we have to trump-proof our states to protect their states from the duly elected president of the united states. they don't believe in democracy. as much as they say they're defenders of democracy, their very actions say no, no, no, they don't believe in democracy, they don't believe in the voices of the people carrying the day through our elections. they believe in their own power, their own radical agenda that

president trump has a lot of ideas in terms of lowering taxes, one of his first priorities on day one is going to be working on extending the tax cuts and you remember what happened the last time we saw these kinds of tax cuts in his first term. the bottom earners actually saw bigger increases in their wages than the highest earners so we are looking forward to the extending of the tax cuts as well as tapping into the energy capacity in america to spark growth. what does that mean? growth for the economy broadly and growth in individuals' earnings so that's something they're working on right now and i'm going to be speaking about that this morning when i speak with scott bess only, he's going to likely be on the economic team for president trump and going to be working just specifically on this, extending the tax cuts and trying to spark growth. we're also going to talk about the cost of the deporting that is going to happen, the deportation plans are

significant. tom homan is joining me this morning, he may very well be the lead person in terms of executing that deportation. president trump is expected to start with the illegal people that are here now who have committed crimes, who have already been told you need to leave. that's about 1.3 million people. he will then broaden it out to others, between 10 and 16 million people have come into the country on joe biden's watch. we're also going to get into how is this all going to be done. this upcoming wednesday is a big day, that's when the senate will vote on their leader, the majority leader. there's a horse race going on. rick scott from florida wants it. john thune wants it, john cornyn wants it. we'll talk with florida governor rick scott this morning. there's a little interruption of ground swell behind rick scott right now. there are some things president trump can get through, through reconciliation. that's likely the tax cuts and

economic issues. but there are going to be other things that he is not going to be able to get through unless he has 60 votes. and you want somebody in the senate who is actually going to bring down to the floor for debate the very programs that president trump is trying to implement. so that's why it's so important the vote on wednesday is huge. who will end up running the senate. we're going to tubing about that this morning and we also know that the victory here we're talking about ran right through the state of pennsylvania. we will talk with david mccormick, he just won his race and of courses going to join us with what went down in pennsylvania. he's now facing a backlash from democrat lawyers who are trying to take it away from him so we'll talk about that and then of course the media meltdown and those governors who basically are digging in right now, we'll talk about that with anna paulina luna from florida and cory mills and we'll round out the show with caroline leavitt from the trump transition team, find out what trump is working on right now in this very
