and continues to intensify. the fbi right now looking for a 51-year-old. they believe he is in iran. getting him is not going to be easy. according to the criminal complaint unsealed on friday, he worked with iran's revolutionary guard on an active plan to kill the president-elect. he demanded large financial sums and return as stated in a criminal complaint. he indicated to an ir gc -- this would cause a huge amount of money. the official said we have already spent a lot of money. money is not an issue. trump as we have been reporting for months has been on the radar of iran's radical government since he ordered the killing of iranian national guard leader in january 2020. official see these plots and have been several as a chance for revenge. law enforcement sources also tell fox iranian american dissident was also a target of the interrupted plot.

we know these threats have existed from the iranian regime. they also have metal that an unprecedented scale in our election trying to tip the scales in favor of kamala harris. we know they were also funny anti-semitic protests on our college campuses and around the country. truly unprecedented that a hostile state, a foreign actor would try to assassinate the former president and some of his former top deputies on u.s. s soil. the biden administration really didn't talk about it until this year whenever the threats really intensified. not just threats, active plots that had to be thwarted. they didn't talk about at 3.5 years ago because they wanted to get back into the failed obama iran nuclear deal called the jcpoa. they buried these things. the chickens have come home to roost. you see the threats and the meddling in the election. they picked the wrong horse to

back. it was certainly not smart to try to go after former president trump. >> jacqui: what should the biden administration to show that no matter who the president is killing the president will stand up against these threats of attempts on a leaders life? >> good question. first of all, the trump sanctions, the maximum economic pressure against the islamic republic of iran, those sanctions never expired. those sanctions were always on the books. the difference is that the biden administration did not enforce those sanctions. now we see a precarious position where iran became $90 billion richer. you have to get back to simple things. start enforcing the sanctions that are on the book. you always have to be willing to extend the hand of diplomacy. we said that all the time in the trump administration. we were willing to talk to iran and willing to negotiated anytime and anyplace. it was the iranians that

constantly refuse that dipl diplomacy. and so, no one is seeking any conflicts by any means. there are sanctions on the books that can be enacted right away. you have to draw the very root clear redlines iranians. it should be totally intolerable that iranian proxies are able to target u.s. navy ships with ballistic missiles and other sophisticated deadly drones. they target our ships, they target our diplomatic facilities throughout the middle east and their military facilities as well. president trump made it clear in his first turn that iran would never get another nuclear weapon and the iranians should not through their proxies or through themselves hurt any american or kill any american. we saw three dead americans in jordan in january. these service members from an iranian made drone. you have to reestablish very clear redlines for them. >> john: in terms of redlines, we wonder what will happen with the war in ukraine.

trump promised in the debate that he would end the war in ukraine before he took office. he's already talked to putin at least once. "trump warns putin engulfed not to intensified in ukraine." don't escalate because i have weapons, too. do you expect that trump will get this thing solved before he takes office on january 20th? >> if not before, hopefully soon after. he peered around the time that he is inaugurated is very close to the 3-year mark to the war in ukraine. that should have never happen in the first place. it was a complete deterrence failure by biden and harris. when you go around the world, it is important that these dictators respect the president of the united states. unfortunately, this is not good for america or the world. they didn't respect biden and harris. the last time putin met with an

administration official, he met with harris and made the calculation to invade ukraine. i think that you will see a very different experience with trump and j.d. vance then you saw with biden and harris. we are talking about the worst war on european soil since world war ii. you should want that to be resolved going three years by the time president trump is inaugurated into this long war in europe is bad for everybody. bad for the ukrainians and nato and us ultimately. we should want peace. we should wanted to end. >> jacqui: there was an xps report. in recent days, there were other reports that he is taken as many as 70 calls since he was ele elected. quantities election mean for negotiations to get a cease fire and hostage right now with biden still in office? >> president trump made it clear throughout the campaign and of all of politicians can he's the

years, we have not even brought forth legislation to raise the minimum wage to a living wage. >> police he told the times that had president biden dropped out earlier, there may have been other candidates in an open primary to replace him. democratic congressman seth moulton says defending his comments he made that his party spends too much time trying not to offend anyone. and that is a father of two little girls, he shouldn't be afraid to say he doesn't want his daughters getting run over by all formerly male athlete on the playing field. he says his party should also change the way it addresses immigration and public safety. >> we were just told her to fund the police. actually the police are really important is security in our communities. that is so out of touch with american voters. that's how these actual debates and not canceled people for simply bringing this stuff up. >> among the next steps for democrats figuring out a new

this is a deck of cards. a lot of times focusing on the face cards. but it did or didn't joe biden or kamala harris. a complete deck of cards is 52 cards. there's a lot of numeral cards if you play cards a lot. i understand the democratic infrastructure well. i think the problem that you have is you have a democratic infrastructure, numbered cards that over and over again to the point that bernie sanders made on top of the segment have failed to identify with the people who have made the democratic party who elected joe biden for the people who elected barack obama twice. i think about -- election night. for four years, joe biden stood by working-class people and help settle the uaw strike. none of those were mentioned in this campaign. nobody talked about what was actually done for working-class people. and all of those strikes, he saw double-digit raises given to those workers. it was an opportunity for the biden and harris campaign to

talk about that. he requires an infrastructure that is geared to the working class that is geared to understanding what is happening to the american people that's geared to understanding public safety is a real problem. immigration is a real problem. the people who are running the party are out of touch. too much time in the beltway. >> john: if we will use the deck of cards analogy, there are two jokers. a big fund-raiser for the democratic party felt that she was dealt both of those. listen to what she said. >> the truth is, this is just an epic disaster. this is a $1 billion disaster. promised all of us that harris would win back. she put videos out saying harris would win back. i believed her. my daughters believed her. they wrote massive checks. i feel like a lot of us were misled. >> john: there's a lot of finger-pointing going on. >> to continue doing what they have been doing. >> john: they learn nothing

wasn't too long ago within the last 4 years that all the analysts were saying republicans have lost touch with rank and file americans. they might not win another election for generations. >> it wasn't too long ago that was said. i congratulate the trump campaign. to go back to the clip that you played with that donor, it is said that after given all of those dollars, the democratic infrastructure, the harris-walz campaign continued to pull the wool over people's eyes. officially it is impossible to donate 13-week presidential campaign against someone who has been running for 4 years. that being said, how the party moves forward is they have to decouple. every voters show to the ballot box with different issues. we debated this on your show is over and over and over again. this hyper focus on what will black men do? black men voted with black

women. they are the second highest voting bloc that the party. the focus could have been on how do we talk to latino voters? instead of -- what i'm saying is remaking how you make the sausage. leaning on your base. your base is always going to be with you. instead of chastising your base, leaned in and figure out how to expand from there. they will continue to be with the democratic party. >> john: quick last question to you. you have all of these democratic governors as you pointed out. all of the other governors say we are going to form their resistance against speech interest 75 million people at last count so they don't want the resistance. they want trump policies to be able to go forward. it just seems like that democrats aren't getting it. for them it is all about fight, fight, fight don't resist trump for the majority of folks in this country think he is pretty good ideas. maybe we should figure out how to get some synergy with that.

>> live look at columbia university where some students there are not marking veterans day in a positive way but instead, they are celebrating the so-called martyrs of gaza. what is it looking like they are today? >> according to an air force veteran on campus right now, he estimates that about 50 anti-veterans day protesters are protesting right now with between 20 and 30 mostly veterans counter demonstrating supporting our military. the group that put all this together columbia university according to flyers that we have seen from students on campus are defining martyrs as anybody killed by israeli forces. ed appears to include terrorists.

take a look at this video from campus just moments ago. we spoke with a veteran who goes to school at columbia. i asked him how veterans feel after fighting terrorist organizations oversees the c students on their college campus appearing for support hamas? >> one moment i am angry and another moment i am proud. big as last year when they were students and faculty members dressing up as jihadists with helicopters hovering up above us, veterans didn't break a single rule. >> most people on campus are on our side. unfortunately the end of the people who aren't are the loudest. >> take a look. you see the flyer that protesters distributed on social media refusing to celebrate veterans day reads in part "the american war machine should not be honored for the horrors unleashed on others. instead, we will celebrate martyrs day in honor of those monitored by the israel-u.s. war machine.

rights, they have the right to do this. columbia university is a private school. they have the ability to call in the nypd to remove people who might be trespassing et cetera. at the end of the day, it is private property. if columbia university wants to continence this, they can. they went way too far with the permissiveness. going forward, these things will be kept at a low burn in very small. columbia does seem like they are willing to allow it. that is our system. >> jacqui: is this something that in your view law enforcement should keep an eye on? this group does have a right to demonstrate, the organizers posted on sub stack, "not afraid to die as members of the collective pursuit of palestinian freedom for each of us should look to him as a clear -- devote a full lifetime to the intifada. it's time to reflect on how we can make ourselves more like him."

some students are taking that to be advocacy for terrorism. is that something that law enforcement should be watching? >> getting close. the first amendments has its limits. generally, proselytizing is not caused to open a case or material support for terrorism. there is a very, very fine line there traditionally, the federal government is very respectful of first amendment rights. you know right to that line. it's getting to the point in situations like that especially if you have other things like funding coming in from streams overseas and where you can put enough material together where you could say, okay, we need to take a look at this. that's where it's difficult in their system and the first amendment system, religious and political speech is hyper protected. there is that fine line where they go beyond it, you have to take a look. it's difficult because it is

prophylactic. most law enforcement happens after the fact. this is before. that is the balancing act. trying to have that balance. you're getting very close when you're starting to say we need to be more like a designated terrorist. >> i also want to get your thoughts on the daniel penny trial. it is because for veterans day. jurors heard a different side then we had been hearing over the course of the trial. i want to play for you some sound from what we heard last week. >> i don't know. he's telling everybody. trying to do it. >> -- >> he is black. they are holding him down right now. one man, one white man holding him down, holding a homeless guy down. >> jurors hearing from those on the subway who felt threatened. is that going to change the outcome do you think of this decision that they have to make? >> it certainly seems like it's

and bring the word of god to those who need to hear it. joining us on this veterans day is chaplain justin roberts performer combat chaplain. one of the executive producers of the film "fighting spirit." it is great to see you. >> i appreciate it. >> john: let me play a little bit of the history of chaplains in the military because it is chronicled in the film. >> no commander that i have met can imagine going to battle it out chaplains at his side. >> we are not just there for them in the moment of the fight but also to help them process everything that they have been through. >> right now as i am talking to you, we have been under fire. >> let's go! >> john: the chaplain corps dates back to july 29th -- you folks have been out this for an awfully long time and the need is great.

>> chaplains provide that care in people's darkest moments. it is a story that is not spoken about. we do a private ministry. confession family counseling. it is not a story that is often told. they have been providing care since our nation's founding. >> what is your hope with this movie? it is it that you will have people who want to step forward and do this? there is a big recruitment effort happening right now. but can you say about what people should see in this and take away from it? >> it is the next generation of chaplains. this country is going to continue on and so will our conflicts. we have to raise up the next generation of chaplains who will be providing care for soldiers. these are the caregivers. >> john: you are attached with a unit in afghanistan. you also went to ukraine. the unit that you are with in afghanistan hit a troubling high rate of suicide among the members. here is what the film said about that.

>> it's not just the battle that is in front of us that is the most dangerous thing we face. sometimes it is the battle within us that can be just as deadly. my goal is to be with him in the fight when they were facing the enemy. when he faced the internal fight, they might be able to come to me. >> suicide is a big problem in the military. as a chaplain, what do you say to somebody who you identifies potentially going down that r road? >> there is hope. that is always the first thing that is lost is the idea that they can't get past this problem. if they are taking this step to talk to me or connect with their brothers and sisters, then there is an intense amount of hope. i have watched people who were struggling with suicide get connected with family and friends and get connected to counselors and turn their life around. for any of the veterans who are right now struggling with that issue, there's other veterans who have been through this and that there is hope.

>> jacqui: what is it like being a chaplain as opposed to ministering at a house of worship? i imagine it might be different dealing with people far away from home of different faiths risking their lives where they have the same challenge but different backgrounds. >> there is a lot more cussing and a lot more bullets. >> john: and there is no building. >> you are with them in the trenches in the fighting positions. i had a chaplain who told me, beware it sucks the most. wherever there is the most pain whether it is in hospitals in the trenches in the fire fights, be there. that is not that kind of ministry is like. >> john: a very interesting series of points. the road to war is no shorter than the road home. soldiers say it had a big impact on them. they want to go back to the person that they were before they waited to come back. there is no going back. you can become someone different and someone better.

there is no way to undo those scars on your soul. as a chaplain, you are not sending people back to where they work and what you are helping them deal with that here and now and what that pertains for the future. >> there is post dramatic growth. after these when we can grow. we can become stronger and braver. a totally new person. you have to embrace that new person and find out who you are after the war and march forward with that. >> john: it is an extraordinary film. people should watch it. chris pratt the actors joined in as executive producer. i don't remember them being chaplains in "star trek." >> there should have been. >> jacqui: i'm excited to watch it. i feel like we talk so much on veterans day up out people who are doing the work with their weapons. you are right alongside them and doing the same kind of work but we don't hear about it as often.

>> fema has a crisis of its own making on its hands right now. there's going to be the florida investigation. governor desantis -- whose houses were skipped and why. congressional inquisition as well. the head of fema, the chief administrator is going to be called through congress. she has already already posted the following. "this is a clear violation of fema's core values and principles to help people regardless of their political values and affiliation. this was reprehensible. >> this may have been an isolated incident. republican lawmakers say this is part of a much bigger problem. >> we will get the answers at some point. i want to know how high up these decisions went. every single person in that chain of command that was involved and are responsible for directing people who work for fema do not give fema aid to trump supporters is absolutely atrocious.
