decorated army combat vet who did tours in iraq and afghanistan and a spot for veterans for years. he has not been corrupted by decades in washington. he was not made by the machine. he has a fresh set of eyes and a clear vision for the pentagon. it's not like he will let chinese fiber lynn's fly across the country orlagh billions of dollars in military hardware in the taliban's hands or make the irani ins and the cartels filthy rich and watch a land were corrupt in europe or anything. we can definitely tell you that hegseth will not have drag story hours on army bases and diversity classes at west point. i guarantee you he will not spend a week in the hospital and hide from the commander in chief. democrats are suddenly obsessed with specific qualifications after telling us merit did not matter. all that mattered was your race and gender. well pete is a straight, white male with a lot of kids. will that be a problem? biden stacked his administration

with people like mayor eat and binders and sticky sammy's. pete is plenty qualified. jim maltz was about to be a heartbeat away from the presidency and he lied about being in combat. pete hegseth was in gun fights in a rack in afghanistan and has two bronze stars and i would rather have him in that room than tampon tim. trump is picking stars he can trust to watch his back and enact his agenda and they are rolling them out fast and fun. the country senses it is on the precipice of massive change and we are excited. and i'm not just saying that because i know the entire cabinet and i will be asking for special favors. probably inappropriate but it doesn't hurt to ask. democrats are not scared of hitler coming back to town. if they were, biden would not be smiling. they are scared that his renegade cabinet will expose how rotten they all are and turn things around so fast that americans will realize what is possible. a new golden age is not just a

slogan, it is a promise. trump's victory and cabinet picks are raising our expectations because we deserve to have our expectations raised. this is the greatest country on the face of the earth with the best land and the brightest people. we should not settle. the government works for us, not the other way around. that's what makes us free. and if trump and his team can revolutionize the way washington works and actually get it to work, the sky's the limit. and then mediocre culture of washington will be stigmatized forever. working on the hill your whole life at think tanks or pushing papers for the state department, getting nothing done for the good of the people accept padding your resume, backstabbing your enemies and racking up debt. if trump succeeds, the days when those guys, them ruling are over. the democrats are starting to realize what is about to hit them and they are warning republicans, don't be too bold.

>> we had a great conversation and talked a little bit about the work that needs to be done and i was grateful and honored to accept president trump's offer to serve our country and support his objective to defend the safety, security and freedom of the american people as the director of national intelligence. >> jesse: how do you think foreign capitals are taking your nomination and the nomination of other people in the national security apparatus? >> that's a good question. i think president trump has already shown how active he has been in not waiting around for day one on january 20th or 21st. but he is already leading, he is already engaging with so many of these world leaders around the world, on the phone constantly and he is showing the kind of leadership that the american people voted for. >> jesse: do you expect resistance from the inside? because there was a lot of resistance in the first term and how would you deal with that? >> the american people delivered

quite on incredible mandate for change in this election with the popular vote and the electoral vote overwhelmingly saying, hey,, we want donald trump as president and we have had enough of the harris biden regime. of course there's going to be resistance to change from the swamp and washington. i think that is kind of the point. american people were saying, hey,, stop looking at yourselves, stop focusing on your own power, your own position, your own bank accounts. how about we have leaders in washington who are actually looking out for the american people. and on every issue across the board, that's what it comes down to with what president trump is trying to accomplish. we have to make sure that our government puts the interest of the american people first. >> jesse: how do you think the biden meeting went today? [laughter] >> it was interesting to see that biden did not seem to be able to stop smiling. for them to have sat there for what she said, a couple hours were good. i'm glad they sat there, they

seemingly had a good conversation. president trump, i'm sure is eager to get to work and glad to be back there. >> jesse: what do you think kamala is thinking right now? >> i can't even begin to venture how she is feeling right now. the amazing thing is what i hope the american people are feeling, is a sense of hope and frankly, jesse, it's hard to see how engaged people continue to be even though the election is over. that they are really looking forward to making sure that their voices are continued to be heard as we go through these next couple of months as president trump takes office as he begins to lead this significant change in our government. to me, this is what an active and thriving democratic republic looks like. it is not just centered around an election every two or four years, it is going to continue to require on active populace in

this country an order to bring about this kind of change that makes sure we truly have a government of by and for the people. >> jesse: and you will be active working alongside this team. you have radcliffe, pete hegseth, marco rubio. how excited are you and what are the plans? >> i think a lot of us are all eager to get to work. there is so much to be done. meetings have already begun. president trump is leading the charge in making sure that on day zero, once he takes that oath again on january 20th, that we are all chomping at the bit to get out there. >> jesse: that's why people are so excited. you can feel it, you can smell it in the air, almost. it is almost distracting because people cannot wait to get started and see what you guys are going to be up to.

how are your democrat colleagues taking it? or former democrat friends. you left the democratic party and became a republican, now you are any republican administration. what has been the reaction from those people? >> i'm actually pretty heartened. i heard from some of my former democrat colleagues who are serving an office today, as well as some who have left and are no longer serving in the house where the senate, reaching out and what i hope could be and should be an effort for us to work together and put the american people first that will hold, support and defend the constitution and again, ensure the safety, security and freedom of the american people. that should be the objective of every sin will member of the house and senate every single person who works in our government. so i was glad to hear from some of my former colleagues i haven't heard from in a little while. >> jesse: that's nice. you would expect that any republic. everyone wants to be safe, everyone wants to be secure. it should be pipe up -- bipartisan.

the left you have democrats that cry proudly on camera. there was really no mystery there. there's also really no mystery on how democrats got into this position. let's think about it. and 2020, the best they could do was joe biden who was cognitively failing then and then got much worse. and then they replaced joe biden at the 11th hour with a woman who got no support in 2019, didn't even make it to 2020 and is on camera saying she supports taxpayer-funded trans surgeries for illegal immigrants who are detained in prison. i mean if you are wondering how you got here, folks, i think there is a pretty clear road, it is a yellow brick road. then you picked a running mate who does rock at kicks and wants to put tampons in the boys bathroom. it is pretty obvious how you got here. you can't dig your way out, you can rebuild but it is going to take less crying and more actual work. >> jesse: and the media was trying to help. sonny was saying i was trying to give her a layup.

what would you do differently? just name one thing and she still could not do it. >> they asked her simple questions and she has always been burdened by what has been. she always oscillated between three talking points and then when those three talking points didn't work she just oscillated right back to them. she really is like a ceiling fan that only has a couple of modes. speaking of oscillating, the democrats right now or in the stages of grief and they just go back and forth between grief and anger, grief and anger. boot to be fair, i think they have been angry for the last eight years. trump broke their brain in 2016 and then they got joe biden but they were still angry. i don't remember them ever being happy. 2020 through 2024. they are always upset, they are always angry, they are always shaving their heads and screaming at the camera. it is time now to just embrace donald trump and embrace the greatness that is coming your way. you will be able to afford eggs and gas now, be happy and rejoice with the rest of us. >> jesse: they were happy when they had their masks on. you can see them smiling, they

>> jesse: have you ever had a politician agree to an interview and tell you that they can't ask certain questions? >> i mean teams will definitely try to do that. they will say this person doesn't want to talk about this or that but then you say i hear you but we are going to need to. >> jesse: i will ask whatever i want. you to say, yeah,, sure and then you get the men and at them over the head. >> you do some nice questions and then hit them with that one because the reality is that everyone wants to hear, especially in his podcast, the guy has smoke with elon musk, he is obviously going to talk about marijuana legalization and it is something that she, by the way, said she was four on the campaign trail. the issue was surpassed versus are present which is something that she struggled with in general. she was constantly flip-flopping. i think the big thing with this, she missed out on a ton of podcast interviews that maybe could have helped. but like you said in the interim of this, she wasn't good with that -- sitting down for three hours with rogan might have even done more harm. >> jesse: she couldn't do 25 minutes with brett bear. they were like throwing in the
