department of education. anything the president can do to shore up the civil service that make up the federal government is really important. >> democrats chimed in on how some of their sporters have been reacting to this devastating election loss. >> some democrats are having a hard time coping with election loss. some are divorcing their husbands and shaving their heads. is this rational behavior? >> i would have nowhere to eat if i uninvited republicans for thanksgiving. it is tough to lose an election but the country goes on. >> as human beings we all have reactions to certain things when things are unfortunate, we all overreact. >> so some democrats in congress seem to be brushing off this election loss a little bit better than some of their supporters and at least they don't have any plans to change their thanksgiving plans, bill. >> bill: thanks. is there a party going on, by the way? >> there is. you heard the marine band playing below. there is an event.

bill that congress introduces is a border security package. i think it will be much different than the alleged bipartisan package because the president has a mandate. you have 60% of americans that favor mass deportations. you will see that. also on the executive front a lot of deregulation of agencies. get the economy booming as well. there is some growth to be made. there are some divides as well. you have different factions when it comes to the republican party in the house but i do think that donald trump is in the driver's seat right now. >> bill: we saw you in the barber shop many times and you were at the bronx rally, too. trump's win leaves democrats asking where are our bro whisperers. you saw at the texas border. that's an historic shift from one party to the other and the question about the urban vote.

i thought it was so just gas lighting when the exit polling came out and said that 70% of the people in the country don't like the direction of the country. this poll has been coming out for months now. you guys weren't listening. then you had a terrible candidate. just say it. just say it. you had sunny hostin on "the view" well, it wasn't supposed to be a gotcha question. there is the pre-school question. would you do anything differently? >> bill: when you look at the polling six months out pollsters said eventually they come home. this time they didn't. >> here is the deal, bill. the pollsters were lying. we are getting internal documents that while they were going on the airwaves saying everything is okay, behind the scenes they were panicking, panicking behind the scenes. it was mal practice. >> dana: who was panicking. >> democrats were behind closed doors. conversation our spending is in the wrong direction.

intriguing. more now with fox business. good morning. >> that's right. we're learning that the f.b.i. took a cell phone and electronic devices from the 26-year-old ceo's manhattan home yesterday. that raid comes after the platform correctly predicted donald trump's victory just last week contrary to all the opinion polling we saw. now a spokesperson for polymarket called the raid, quote, obvious political retribution by the outgoing administration and coplan added this. it is discouraging that the current administration would seek a last-ditch effort to go after companies they deem to be associated with political opponents. incumbents should do some self-reflecting and taking a more pro business approach would have changed their fate in this election. d.o.j. declined to comment and f.b.i. did not immediately get back to us. the agencies are reportedly

investigating polymarket for allegedly accepting trades from users that are in the united states. election betting was legalized in the u.s. the year but polymarket not yet approved by the trading commission. the platform is not supposed to be available in the u.s. after it reached a settlement with the government two years ago. still, bill, polymarket gained a lot of attention this election cycle. allows users to place bets with crypto currency on a lot of different events sports, pop culture, election. 3 1/2 billion were wagered on this presidential election. >> bill: how much money would he have made on that? does he get a cut? >> there is one anonymous users that is a french national. he won $80 million. the money won, quite a bit. >> bill: we'll see where it goes.

involving sex trafficking allegations. ultimately d.o.j. dropped the cast last year and gaetz was not prosecuted and denied any wrongdoing. expect this to come up that he may lead a department that was once investigating him for these alleged sex trafficking allegations. he has maintained his innocence. he is the subject -- was the subject of this house ethics probe but since he resigned from congress yesterday, it appears that will not be released. however, senators from both sides of the aisle say they want to see the contents of that report to make sure he is vetted properly before they actually vote on him to potentially be the next attorney general. >> bill: interesting one to follow. nice to see you at d.o.j., david spunt. >> dana: president-elect trump trying to by pass senate confirmations with recess a.ments for cabinet picks. the senate would forfeat their role and allow trump to get his

picks. is it necessary when you have 53 votes in the senate? >> depends on what chuck schumer does. he can easily try to hold the process up and it is a last resort option but we will go to that if we have to. what we need to do is get president trump's cabinet and these appointed positions in place as soon as possible so we can deliver the agenda the american people voted for november 5th. >> dana: we have the u.s. marine band accompanying our segment today and grateful for that and they sound fantastic. listen to this. it is incoming republican senate leader john thune who you supported yesterday. watch. >> as you know, the senate has an advise and consent rule in the constitution. we'll do everything we can to process his nominations quickly. get them installed in their positions so they can begin to implement his agenda. what we'll do is make sure we're processing his nominees in a way that gets them into those positions so they can implement

choosing president-elect trump by a decisive margin. blue state governors are teaming up to oppose his agenda as several democrats say this effort will only put the party into a deeper hole. garrett tenney live in chicago with more. i think the governor of illinois is one of them. >> it's notable that both of the governors behind this effort to push back against the trump administration agenda, illinois and colorado represent sanctuary states. a lot of democratic voters went for trump over the issue of immigration. the goal of this new organization called governors safeguarding democracy is essentially to create playbooks for how governors across the country can fight against the trump administration's agenda on everything from immigration and his plans for mass deportations to education and healthcare. by using the combined legislative, budgetary and administrative powers of state leaders. >> we are loyal to the

constitution and are loyal to the people of our states. this isn't about creating some massive divide. indeed it is about responding to concerns that governors will have about dealing with what seems to be an onslaught from the new administration. >> the timing of this announcement right after the election is notable given it's the latest nationwide initiative from pritzker to support democratic party policies as a potential presidential candidate for 2028. local democrats in his own state argue that pritzker and governor polis are ignoring the strong message voters sent last week about the priorities and direction of the democratic party. >> clearly there is a disconnect with the party elite versus the everyday democrats. we know that that messaging from the democratic party's elite failed miserably in 2024. to think that you can think

if you are talking about icinging into communities and removing criminals, immigrants here illegally with a criminal record, a criminal background you are probably going to get support by most of the american people. how will these mayors handle it? >> we know that these statements that have been made are misguided optionly with somebody like brandon johnson when you look at the numbers. when these migrants begin to settle in the city of chicago we saw migrant crime, new category, become 11,000% issue for the residents. he talks about we want to protect black and brown people and all of this. who do you think some of these crimes are being committed against? there is a mandate in the city of chicago. trump in 2016 won 12%, 2024 he won 22% of the vote. he even won, get this, bill, precincts pre-detained inmates

can vote. in jail can vote before being convicted. there is a total mandate in the city of chicago and it is around migrants. this is why i believe that donald trump's choice for matt gaetz was a brilliant one. this is an individual who can withhold funding from sanctuary cities who allow this kind of mess to go on that is impacting citizens from across the country and for those who have been saying matt gaetz isn't the right choice, a mean guy and this and that. would wouldn't hire matt to be my therapist but as my top cop i would put him in that position. >> mayor johnson, here is what he said. >> former president trump, his threat is not just towards new arrivals and undocumented families. his threats are also against black families. >> bill: i don't know how you or

changed i think is a new phase for him in this story. is that how you hear it? >> yes, absolutely. this is exactly what his citizens and voters want. you keep in mind eric adams is the guy who began to talk about this issue in a way that mainstream media had to cover it. before that you can only hear about the dangers of the border on fox news channel. then abc and everybody else had to cover it and became a target for many folks on the left. i have to tell you, we have to have change. the american people have decided to give the republican party are the white house, senate and the house of representatives. they want drastic change when you consider 70% of americans believe the country has been on the wrong track. we want to go back to normalcy. we want to go back to a place where americans are taken care of first before anybody else, americans should be taken care of first. >> bill: thank you for coming on and we'll talk again soon. thanks for your time. >> dana: this just in.

florida attorney general moody says she is taking legal action against fema over reports that aid workers avoided homes with trump signs. she posted this in part i am taking swift legal action to find out how far fema's political discrimination reaches and make sure all americans who fall victims to storms are served regardless of political affiliation. a smart move and one it makes sure that the documents will be preserved on the fema side and that when you get into court and into discovery you can find out a lot more and under a court's order. >> bill: one query about all this is we've heard about some of these cases as a result of he helene. there might be other cases we're not aware of. this thing could get real ugly in the end. if it does and expands like this, then fema will have to take a hard look at what is hinge. >> dana: that case just in. we'll find out more as she puts it into court. let's say all the way up the chain they will be wore eft

point. under pennsylvania law, that's enough to trigger an automatic recount. casey could have waived his right to a recount but hasn't. the pennsylvania department of state says it will cost more than a million dollars to recount all 6.8 million ballots. in the meantime mccormick is attend theing freshman orientation in washington, d.c. alongside his wife. they even had his name etched outside his brand-new senate office. on a call this morning the mccormick campaign said the math is just not there. there is one truth, when counting is done, dave will be winning by tens of thousands of votes. there is a 0 percent chance the outcome will change. in mccormick there have been four automatic recounts carried out the results haven't changed. the last recount in 2022 involved mccormick against dr. oz, that margin shifted by just 21 votes in mccormick's favor. the casey campaign wants undated
