for more than 20 years and have american kids and have never gotten into trouble, don't necessarily want the path to citizenship, they want a dignified life in the promised land and that's why i call my bill the dignity. first and foremost, we've got to secure, seal the border so we know who comes in from now on. those who are here already, not the biden migrants, the ones that came here before, 15, 20 years. we have people in new york city doing jobs that benefit us and our economy that do not necessarily have the same thing as the cubans so it's our time. the gop can definitely lead the charge in this topic. let me tell you something. in congress, it's hard. it's toxic. no one wants to talk about it. but trump can fix it. i am sure. rachel: wow. all right, maria salazar, thanks for joining us. >> my love to you. congratulations, your spanish is

studio. what do you think about this? is this the best idea yet. maria: it is absolutely the best idea. there is so much bloat and waste in government and this is the first opportunity to begin what will be a new day in terms of the efforts to see economic growth. you know, throughout the campaign we saw a lot of conversation about fracking, i don't want fracking, right, kamala kept flip-flopping on everything, flip flopped on fracking as well. that's the least of it. everyone is focused on she's going to frac, not going to frac. that doesn't matter , any administration can kill an industry with regulation. you just throw regulations on the oil producing companies and the industry and it's dead because they are not going to be able to get out from under the whole of paying these regulations, hiring lawyers, hiring consultants to adhere to these new rules so this is the first thing that they're going to do. they're going to cut 10 regulation force every one that

6:37 am
in terms of turning back the regulations. my question to you, i know this is kind of crazy but which department do you think they should start with? they're going to do all of it. which has the most waste? what should the focus be? maria: there's so much. i know president trump talked about the education department being incredibly wasteful. i could see him looking at the education department and cutting that and that means cutting jobs, cutting programs, all of the rules and regulations around that. i could see them focusing on that but i think the bigger opportunity is with the energy department because he's talked a lot about tapping into america's energy capacity, so there's a way to get around that in terms of creating new ways of doing things and tapping into energy in terms of drill, baby, drill so there's going to be a lot of focus on the energy department as well. i imagine they're going to take a clean swipe at all of the
6:38 am
agencies because there's so much waste in the government. rachel: you could get rid of the education department and say here's your money, wyoming, here's your money. maria: president trump talked about eliminating the department of education as an entire agency. we'll see. he has not confirmed any of that yet. we'll see. so we're looking at that. cutting regulations, coming up with new ways to do things and i think when you get a business person in there, like elon musk, like vivek ramaswamy, these are people who actually understand it's about the bottom line. it's about getting rid of all of the extra waste and so i think a business man, businessmen are going to be perfect to handle it. joey: we're going to have a chance to see you interview vivek in a bit on sunday morning futures. maria: we're also talking about the upcoming senate hearings on the confirmations so we'll see who gets confirmed. we'll talk about that with the two senators today as you can see, joining me this morning. and we've got donald trump junior as well. will: and scott baio.

here is reporter jen hale. packers, bears, oldest rivalry, young quarterback for the bears, not a great season honestly for caleb williams, the number one overall pick in the nfl draft. >> that's an understatement. the defense has performed well. the offense has been stagnant. they fired the offensive coordinator last week. thomas brown started working in carolina last year. he's the interim offensive coordinator. everyone will be watching to see what changes can he make in just a week to help caleb williams, maybe take some things off of caleb's plate, simplify things, so caleb can play a little faster return to that ufc form that was his hallmark that was so good. for the packers, jordan love, this is the time of year he usually gets hot. he's being plagued by injuries. he's still wearing the knee brace. he says the knee is not bothering him. packers fans waiting for him to ignite and take off.

will: at 4:00 we have winning teams, the records don't reflect it. they're playing decently well, the seahawks and 49ers. >> who would have thought the nfc west would look like it does right now in week 11. this is pivotal to both teams, one game separating them. seahawks have to get a ground game going. gino smith is carrying the team, throwing 55 times a game. they're going to try to get kenneth walker going today. gino gets help in the passing game. for the 49er, they're trying to close in on the arizona cardinals who are leading that division. did anybody have that on their betting card, the fantasy team? christian mccaffery made the season debut last week. he was pedestrian. it probably takes a while to shake the rust off. will he be back in true form today? i think so. i'm going to go with the niners in the rematch.
