crime and making america safe again. trump says he's known her for many years, called her smart and tough. she was florida's attorney general from 2011 to 2019, part of trump's legal team during his first impeachment and also a partner and a lobbying firm. she replaces former florida congressman matt gaetz as trump's nominee for attorney general. it's a position that the trump team has called the most important in the administration. next to the president of the united states. they met yesterday with senators to pitch his nomination back it became clear he would fail to draw an up support for confirmation and the republican-controlled senate. the house ethics committee had investigated allegations that the former congressman used drugs illegally and had with a minor while in office. after the announcement, gaetz posted that he found the new pick bondi a stellar choice to be attorney general. back to you. >> trace: live for us in

and she's going to make sure we deal with them. >> trace: the bite in the administration appears to be opening the borders back up, loosening some of their policies. they write the following here in "the new york post" of the headline is biden the administration quietly listening immigration policies before trump takes office and then it says the outgoing administration intends to launch an ice portal starting in early december that will allow migrants to bypass in person check-ins through their local ice office. they say the apple -- app will make it easier for migrants truthfully authorities because the software has proven to be glitchy and unreliable. the bottom line here is these people are not going to be vetted and these people are going to be very hard to locate because we don't know where most of them are now, much less when you come in and you are not even seen in the process. >> i know what the process looks like and i don't think it's fair to the ones who followed and went through all of the process.

they asked did you commit any crime, does she have a job in place. now they are streamlining this process and i think a lot of people need to be thinking about they can make all the solutions this quick on this scenario but they can't take on homelessness, affordability, gas and groceries. they want to move that quick on this area but not quick enough to take care of what real americans are thinking about. >> trace: you look at the scenario and you are like why. why are they doing this now? are they trying to throw a wrench in the works here, is there a reason or some rationale behind it? tough to figure out what's going on. >> it's a little tough but i would say the biggest thing that i think of when i look at a headline like this is they've just learned nothing from the election because the american people were very clear to the popular vote that this is not a popular issue. i'd say the most surprising part is i forgot joe biden was our president until i saw this headline so that was a good reminder that we still have a

couple of more weeks of him. >> trace: thank you both. the fox news in a common sense department finds it fascinating that when trump became the president-elect he immediately stopped being hitler for years. the democrats, especially president biden, have compared trump to one of the most evil figures in world history and yet suddenly he's what? is he cured? absolved, transformed? they were asked why biden no longer calls trump hitler. she said we have to respect the will of the american people. she went on to say that biden's views have not changed so if common sense is clear biden no longer says trump is hitler but still believes trump's hitler. still believes trump will be the death of democracy, the death of the republic.

it's interesting because it's americana. it feels like what america just voted for, to get away from that jaguar ad and to go toward the volvo ad, what is your take away on this? >> i thought the same thing. when i watch that ad, i'm teary, i thought back to my babies and they are growing up. i thought to those american values that i saw illustrated in the vote. it really is reassuring. i think i said is the last time, that's kind of my word of the quarter at least because this ad, the jaguar ad they say great exuberant, break moulds, copy nothing. okay,, all right. it reminds me of when tim walz called president trump and his supporters weird and creepy. i think most of those americans that voted for president trump overwhelmingly would say that ad is weird and creepy. that's how it hit me.

the list goes on and off. it's time to start slashing and cutting and eliminating and becoming more efficient. people are ready. >> i want to put this up because this is a doge post. they say government agencies are using just 12% of the space in their d.c. headquarters. the department of agriculture was... averages 456 workers each day, 6% occupancy. why our taxpayer dollars being spent to maintain empty buildings? as you go forward with this, what is the goal here? do you go through with a fine-tooth comb or is it a 30,000-foot view first and then you hone in? >> we are going to try to do it all. we've invited all members of congress to be a part of this caucus periods great excitement right now, the iron is truly hot and now is the time to strike. we think the more people that

join us, the greater we can multiply our efforts. there is something for everybody to do, there is waste wherever you look. how about just people in d.c., federal workers, going back to their office. less than 25% of federal workers are actually working full-time back at their office. we've got lots of work to do my friend. >> trace: on that point i want to put this up because this is a federal worker, he said this to cnn, quoting the stress would be through the roof. i'm at the point where if i had to commute i would resign. i would take this as a sign to move on and start a new chapter in my life. there's a lot of people that do not want to go back to the office and are not going back to the office. your final thoughts. >> maybe that something we can learn from the guy. maybe that's where we can start to eliminate some of these overpopulated agencies that have far too many workers.

neely suffered from years of mental illness and had more than a dozen run-ins with police. today a forensic pathologist dispute of the medical the choke hold caused the death. this case has led to further criticism of manhattan d.a. alvin bragg. >> when we look at the travesty that is being presented by the d.a. in prosecuting mr. penney, it begs the question of what are we doing to uphold the social contract? it's clear that it's not working. we have crime that's running off the rails in the city of new york. >> this man ramon rivera was arrested after he was accused of killing three people during a stabbing spree across manhattan on monday. he had been released from a new york city jail earlier this month after an extensive criminal history and yesterday a tourist was stabbed in the face during seemingly random attack on the upper west side. also ice announced the arrest of two illegal immigrants who were

charged with children in massachusetts in addition to a third man, of fugitive with a conviction for a child in brazil. we have some governors including the governor of massachusetts... even though as we've reported on multiple times, those deportations are going to focus on removing illegal immigrants who have committed crimes. still you get this pushback. >> trace: let's bring in... great to have both of you on. this is the only time i'm going to play the sound bite but it's the only time the jury has actually heard from daniel penney because this was his interview with police. listen to this and i will get your response. >> i'm not trying to kill the guy.

i'm just trying to make -- de-escalate the situation. >> trace: i think it's baffling that alvin bragg is just trying so hard to put daniel penney away and as christina was explaining, a person that alvin bragg has let out a couple of times just stabbed and killed three people in new york yesterday. he should be in prison but he's out. daniel penney should not be in a courtroom but he is. >> everything is upside down in new york city right now. alvin bragg has proven that over and over he is a political hack and this is absolutely wrong what is happening to penney. he's a marine veteran and he went in, there were individuals on the subway that felt that their life was in jeopardy and he did what he needed to do to subdue the threat. we have a forensic pathologist that just came in and disputed what the new york medical examiner said and said he did not kill neely. penney did not, this choke hold did not cause the death of neely
