4:43 am
if they have a final deportation order. can you just turn them over to ice. but what about the people that are here illegally in your state right now, will you all be henning the trump administration with those people that aren't housed? >> you know, the first thing we are going to focus on the people that have committed crimes, that's what president trump is going to do. and then once you secure the border, which biden has failed to do for the last four years. and that's why the american people overwhelmingly supported president trump because they know he is going to secure the border day one. and then you can look at immigration policy and stated-based work visas. because if there is people that are trying to do the right thing, chasing the american dream, i believe we should have matched employers with employees and turned from education visas if you are getting an engineering degree from one of our universities to get them into the workforce. but we're going to start with the illegal activity, that's a no-brainer, and then we will get some immigration policy done, and we will have a secure border for the first time since president trump was in office

last time. >> lawrence: you know, i know your state legislator, you have a good track record in oklahoma. what do you think is the first, you know, operational business when it comes to the u.s. government? do you feel like the first bill we're going to see is a border security bill? that way it's not done with executive orders that even after this administration, that we have it with the next administration. because it seems like once the other guy gets in they just overturn all the executive orders. i would assure you this day one with an executive order all donald trump has to do go back to policies remain in mexico and just instruct our border patrol to do their job. it's already a federal law that you cannot enter our country except one of these 28 ports of entry along the texas, mexico border. and, unfortunately, the biden-harris administration was literally cutting razor wire to open up more access which makes no sense to the american people.
4:45 am
and i believe that's why, you know, common sense won out. president trump has a mandate now. 312 electoral votes. the popular vote. and to see the other side of the aisle still trying to double down on this issue, they are just tone deaf to what the american people want. >> lawrence: my grandmother would say they are stuck on stupid. so, governor, you are way kinder than some of us texans. thank you so much for giving us some time. >> thanks so much. >> lawrence: you got it. the los angeles auto show kicks off today. a sneak peek at the new cars and futures to expect in the new year. that's next. ♪ ♪ ♪ i get a little bit closer. ♪ every day is a fading sign fedex presents tall tales of true deliveries ♪ our battle was legendary.
