6:04 am
i've known pam for years, she is smart, tough and america first fighter who will do a terrific job as a.g. bonde was on stage recently at a rally in north carolina talking leading up to the election with trump saying he has been fighting for america and she will fight for him. >> and now the question is who could the next treasury secretary be. back out here live we can the tell you trump has floated kevin warsh for that position. economist and former member of the federal reserve board of governors. another job opening is trump's f.b.i. director. he could kick out chris wray and try to put in mike rogers, former marine and f.b.i. agent who ran for congress in michigan. the theme is to shake up washington, d.c. and that's what

trump is trying to do. >> gillian: thank you so much. it's been over two weeks since the presidential election. closer to three now. democrat bob casey is finally conceding the pennsylvania s senate race. we have the insight into that. >> it is finally over. exactly one hour after the pennsylvania state department announced it finished its initial vote count with provisional ballots casey conceded in the u.s. senate race. >> pennsylvaniaance can move forward with the knowledge their voices were heard whether their vote was the first or last to be counted. proud of the work we've done since election day to enfranchise voters across the state no matter who they voted for and to insure that the democratic process could unfold.

6:08 am
of the attempts to go after donald trump. to go after his allies, civil court, criminal court. that needs to be shut down and needs to be investigated and the people who broke the laws to be able to move forward with those investigations in those cases need to be punished. there needs to be accountability for it and we need to have a department of justice that is actually focused on delivering justice for every single american as an attorney, as a prosecutor, as the attorney general in pennsylvania, pam bondi has always shown she is tough, smart and a great pick and she will be a fantastic attorney general. >> gillian: michael, pam bondi stepped into the ring last night right after matt gaetz pulled his name from consideration. he will no longer serve in the president's cabinet. he has won a seat in the new congress. do you think he is going to assume that seat and do you
6:09 am
think the party is going to embrace him if he decides to? >> that's a decision that will be up to matt. the house leadership team in terms of how they move forward with it. right now the biggest focus we have and i met yesterday with speaker johnson and the leadership team in the house is making sure that they are in a position to move forward with implementing donald trump's agenda. president trump ran on a very simple agenda of restoring our southern border, rebuilding our economy, insuring that we're strong enough as a country to protect our interests and allies around the world and making communities safe again. congress has a mandate to act on that. it is a mandate to make america great again where the focus needs to be in the house and senate. then the senate needs to move forward quickly with all of these nominees that will be put forward by president trump to get them confirmed. people are policy. what president trump is doing is selecting a fantastic team to
6:10 am
implement his agenda going forward. >> john: let's go to bob casey saying -- here is what was said by casey saying it's over. >> nice to be with you, we're excited to have this resolved finally. mathematically it was clear that the election was over and there was not a path to victory. the people of pennsylvania stood up in bucks county and across the commonwealth and said wait a second. we will follow the rules and that was a good thing for pennsylvania, good thing for this election. >> john: josh shapiro pointed out during his senate primary in 2022 mccormick did not wave his right to a recount in his race with oz but the margin was 900 some odd votes not nearly 17,000 votes. why did casey go ahead with this
6:11 am
after the way the bucks county commission embarrassed themselves in front of the nation? >> i think the biggest thing that we saw throughout this election cycle in pennsylvania was that the courts were very consistent and very clear in terms of what votes need to be counted. we were very disappointed to see platoons of lawyers coming from washington, d.c. with the casey campaign to start filing challenges to ask county commissions to include votes that clearly should not have been counted and then when we went to court and got a very clear mandate from the supreme court. truly disturbing behavior by the democrats across the board. look, we're done. we're ready to move forward. the voters of pennsylvania voted resoundingly on november 5th and through the early voting period for donald trump and for dave
6:12 am
mccormick and we're very excited to have dave serving in the senate. he is going to represent all people from pennsylvania and a champion for every pennsylvania family and fight for them every single day and donald trump is ready to carry his agenda forward with the support coming out of the house and the senate. >> gillian: thanks for taking time with us this morning. great to talk to you as well. >> john: good to see you. >> gillian: the pentagon is confirming russia launched an intermediate ballistic missile into ukraine days after president biden allowed ukraine to strike parts of russia with long-range u.s. missiles. the pentagon saying this. >> this was a new type of lethal capability that was employed on the battlefield. it certainly a concern to us. we've seen this type of dangerous, reckless rhetoric before from president putin.
6:13 am
what we're focused on is continuing to support ukraine with what it needs. >> gillian: putin is threatening to retaliate with more strikes against u.s. facilities. the fight causing the former commander-in-chief of the ukraine army to offer a grim declaration. world war iii has officially begun. we'll dig into that more coming up throughout the hour. >> i'm astounded by the tone deaf arrogance of the democratic leadership in this country. they just got their butts handed to them. >> john: democratic cities, how they are trying to make it harder to deport illegal immigrants. >> gillian: the menendez brothers forced to wait longer for a decision on clemency. after 25 years who is counting? what is prompting that delay now? >> john: day 19. the daniel penny choke hold trial.
